I can only say wow. You are so in that stuff like me, totally addicted. My project is a RC4WD Miller RR rebuild. AR60 axles , wraith parts, Element stealth X tranny with overdrive and longer steel drive shafts. A lot of thinking an trying before all fits as desired. The goal is like yours , building a Rock/Trail crawler.
Ok so I'm going to be "that guy" but first let me say I enjoy what you are doing and respect your obvious knowledge and skill. I have a Ryft that I built from a kit, but I am primarily a rock crawler kind-of-guy. I don't believe the Ryft was ever meant to be a crawler, hence the "Rock Bouncer" designation. I think a lot of people drive these things fast and bash them, which is also not what rock bouncers do, but the Ryft will most definitely go fast and bash with the best of them. In my humble opinion, bouncers use gobs of power and wheel speed to climb and jump their way up unimaginable obstacles that ordinary vehicles would not even consider, and when built and driven correctly the Ryft is also quite good at this. Axial engineered it to be so, although some of what they did with the RTR and even the kit version needs some help to say the least. Not to love on them too much, but Axial also has the Capra which is similar to the Ryft, but is an outstanding crawler and trail buggy, available in 2 sizes, both of which I own and love. I guess what I am saying is if you want a crawler buggy, maybe start with a crawler buggy? That said, I do admire what you are doing and intend to watch all of the videos in this series, as well as the rest of your channel which I just discovered and subscribed to today. Cheers and here's to doing things the hard way haha. Thank you!
Yes!!! This is the sort of discussion I love. It`s true, this buggy was not meant to 'crawl' as the whole setup is wrong, BUT.. I'll be using this for an FPV rig as it's primary use, as you will eventually see from this series.. And for this purpose I think this buggy will do very well. Slowing it down will make it more stable for the FPV driving experience, and it's a fun and capable rig already!
That is some amazing work man!! Love the design work and ingenuity in there. Very cool. This is going to be one awesome Ryft. Still wondering about the speed reduction?? But I am eager to see how it goes.. ;)
Have you ever changed something on your scale trucks? New shocks? Motor change? Tires? Anything? Lights? Yes you have, I'm sure. And that's because you want something that's not there. I want control and driveability, and you'll see why in the future videos.
Chris you are so a genius ... i'm very excited to see the finished rig
Thanks!

Thanks!
Man that's going to look sweet!😎👍
I like that now the trans work with Any 1/10 frame

If I could get that LRT2 transmission style/location with the RTR gearing and bounce it more scale that would be awesome.

Awesome!
Thanks!
Will you be selling the 3d printed pieces? I think alot of people might wanna do this to theirs
Very uncommon build, but interesting :)
Thanks!
Dang !!! Someone beat me to it 1st !!!! 😆👍 I try to be 1st on some special channels like this !!! (GCM)😁👍
Haha! Thanks!
You gonna be selling these parts?
Sorta!
@@GCMRacing1 let me know,I want to do this to my ryft..
Why would you want a slow bouncer?
I don't understand it either. I don't get why people buy rigs then complain when they do what they where built for

@@GCMRacing1 rock bouncers don't have driveability...that's why they are always shiney side down.
