The Freed I bought here in Singapore in 2018, the hybrid G sensing comes with Collision mitigation brake (CMBS), Adaptive cruise control (ACC), and Lane-keeping support system (LKAS) & lane departure sensor. Other then those are the usual dual power sliding door & smart key system. We did a few road trips in 2018 & 2019 (before covid-19) with 4 + 2 comfortably in 2-3-1 configuration. We did Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands, Penang, Malacca etc power is more than adequate to conquer the mountain routes. All adults rotated sitting in the 3rd roll & we have no complain. Although air-conditioning is only from the front dash but it cools the whole car pretty quickly within ~5min. Another plus point is the fuel consumption, usually I only need to topup 30+ litres after 600km of travelling 👍 Overall it is a great Mini MPV that I will recommend to all. Next I m moving to Mid-size MPV, the Nissan Serena e-power should be ready for collection in the next few days.
@@topgearhongkong as of today's pricing should be ~S$124,000 for Freed & ~S$140,000 for Serena. Taxes in Singapore for imported cars are exorbitant, amounting to ~190%. Certificate of Entitlement 'COE' is also required to register a new car. Latest bidding is @S$60,001 each.
@@topgearhongkong there are probably numerous reason to it but my guese - owning a car in Singapore mostly are either for convenient or status. Convenience - most families cars are workhorses i.e on weekdays are to send kid/s to sch, sent wife to office, drive to work, pick up wife after work, pick up kids, out for family dinner & finally bring family back home. Weekends are for marketing & visiting of parents & in-laws. Status - there is this unspoken pressure on Singapore men to attend the 5Cs - CAR, career, condominium, credit card & cash.
Japan still does not require side airbags, but Honda really should include them for the export market. I think people would be willing to pay the extra.

即七十至八十萬港元。似乎在新加坡買車真的不容易。新加坡公共交通不錯,新車價如此高,但新加坡的新車銷量向來不少(跟香港相比),原因何在?
