I fish out of Costal Georgia and it's 45 mile run to snapper banks and 80 mile ride to the Stream. I can tell you this will make those runs much better and open up more days for fishing!
Wow I've seen most CCO videos and I just stumbled across this one. Funny to see my boat in the background at my slip in D3! 😅 Love to take you guys out on my new 1200hp Monterey 385 bowrider next time you're in AC. 70mph party boat, nothing else like it under a million
You've posted on both seakeeper ride and zip wakes. They both look great. How would you contrast them? it seems like Seakeeper might be "better" -- faster, smoother adjustments? Asking bc I just purchased a 2023 Stabicraft 2050 and would like to put one of these two systems on.... trying to determine which would give the best ride on Auto. Of course my boat is smaller, 20.5 ft, so maybe that is a factor, too? Would love to hear your thoughts....
The only problem I see is that the actuators divert water straight up the transom when it adjusting. Maybe a shield on the top side of the unit would knock down the water. The blue water has a bracket that protects from spray but a straight transom would spray the motors with a ton of water
Test very well done, congratulations! Awesome product ... It would be useful to know how the RIDE setting takes place on boats that do not install it as standard and what impact it has on consumption, considering that it is an element of drag.
You mentioned that manufacturers (other than Sportsman) were also on board to partner as standard per Sea-Keeper go to market brand strategy. Did they share the full list of manufacturers they aligned with for 2023 builds? Perhaps they negotiated a year or two of exclusivity to Sportsman to value trade them becoming a first partner?
I have a Contender hull. The trim tabs are recessed underneath the running surface and do not extend past the transom. If these are installed, would you keep the regular trim tabs in the fully recessed position and not use them simultaneously with the sea keeper tabs? Does anyone have any pictures of retrofitting these devices to a Contender 25 feet in length or longer?
The Bluewater 2850 had Seakeeper Ride 525 installed. You can check out a performance report here: ride.seakeeper.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/BW-1_Bluewater-2850_072722.pdf
I have not read one comment concerning the fishability when you are drifting or anchored, is it meant for just the drive or is also a similar Seakeeper type of system, the video has been all about the drive comfort. I am more interested in what I tend to do which is fish.
Seakeeper Ride eliminates pitch and roll only while underway, where the uncomfortable and potentially dangerous pounding takes place. A Seakeeper gyrostabilizer can eliminate boat roll at rest, and you can learn more at seakeeper.com/home.
Awesome new tech. Hope it's affordable for us average middle class boaters. I have a new 22' Cc perfect match. What's the estimated cost installed. Thx
4500 for the smallest kit and you can do it yourself if you want. Those kits won’t be available yet unfortunately. They want to make sure they can ramp up production and keep up with the 3 brands that are putting them on all there boats standard.
This will be awesome, but I bet for the first couple generations you’ll see it on boats and then the owner will tell you it’s down at the moment. So many technical and moving components (under a heavy load I imagine) combined with salt water!
@@hautehusseya gyro is the only current solution when not running. If your boat is large enough or you’re willing to give up the space and configure the power, to accommodate a gyro..that would be your best singular option. This product will be a win as a differentiator for manufacturers willing to add as standard equipment on 26’ and under. If I am running larger than 30, I would rather have the gyro which is active while running and while at rest/actively fishing. Far more simple operation than the gyro though from power to windup to running. If I were comparing mid-priced sub 30 options, this system would definitely move me towards one brand over another.
@@CenterConsolesOnly how much for an auto trim package on a new Yamaha engine? That pair looked ancient by brand new modern Yamaha standards. Also why not just show the difference between simple bolt on trim tabs that have been around forever? Save another grand just on the trim tab price if you did that.
Really nothing new with this! Zipwake has had seamless and full automation for roll and pitch control as standard for the last five to six years. Could be handled manually as well but as said in the video it´s on automatic 98% of the time. No need to interfere in something that is working and very well calibrated from the beginning 😊
@@CenterConsolesOnly Thank you very much for making this video and sharing it’s transformative technology. I’d imagine that the Sharrow Propeller and Sea Keeper Tabs should be the top innovations of the year! Perhaps even longer…

Technically anyone can adjust the trim and run the same but what they wanted to accomplish was anyone can now get on a boat and drive without having to know how trim tabs work.
Our testing found that Seakeeper Ride improves comfort and safety (eliminating pitch and roll motions) without negatively impacting speed or efficiency. In many cases, we've seen an increase in speed and fuel efficiency with Seakeeper Ride-equipped boats due to pitch reduction and the resulting decrease in hull resistance.
@@SeakeeperInc Makes sense. Thank you for responding. You have a game changing new product. Revolutionary actually. Seakeeper 1 with Seakeeper Ride on a 30' Cat will turn these already great platforms into bullet proof fishing machines capable of going a lot further, even in marginal conditions. I wonder how many amps it needs to maintain at speed like that. These systems need monster batteries and charging systems. That alternator load kills MPG so they're expensive to put in and expensive to use.
How does it affect MPG and Hourly fuel rates? I'm guessing you sacrifice some efficiency? But hell if you can make your 28 footer ride better than a 36! Who wouldn't do this?

Very impressive. I can see a lot more guests wanting to come out on the boat and actually enjoy it with this device. Genius. Congratulations to them
Very impressive product. I see this becoming the standard in the industry.
Looks like something we all need! Hopefully they come out with an DYI add on package for older boats. Great video, thanks guys!

That system is sick…it’s revolutionary for the boating industry. Same for the Sharrow prop 🤷🏻♂️. Super cool
It’s like a stability augmentation system on an airplane. Pretty badass!!!
I think the Seakeeper Ride is a must on Yamaha jet boats and should be standard equipment.

I have a Sportsman boat, received email from them yesterday about this new product, looks sweet!
Great product. Those guys are truly innovative. Looking forward to boating with this product.

It will be standard on sportsman, scout and Chris craft to start.
Seakeeper R&D are killing it.
Looking forward to seeing how this improves the ride on a 25 foot Yamaha jetboat!
What is the performance like down-sea? Will it keep the bow up to prevent stuffing?
It’s able to make the adjustments. Super impressive.
Great ride improvement when it was switched on. Did you notice any change in the fuel flow?
It stayed about the same or better from what we saw. Definitely didn’t hurt though from the tests we saw.
Not for nothing but i was sold in the first 7 minutes of this video 🤣
Just purchased a Robalo R272 and having the Seakeeper installed as of this week even before she gets wet!! Can’t wait I believe it’s a game changer!!
