Great comparison and certainly agree. I grabbed the 26" MadStad for my T9GT and it was a day and night difference between the factory windscreen. Riding home from the dealership my head felt like it was ready to rattle off regardless of the position. The adjustment knobs on the MadStad are a bit annoying and not 'supposed' to be adjusted when in motion but I feel like I'm floating in a bubble of calm even at 80+ mph. Riding in some massive downpours from Jacksonville to Philly (1,100 miles in 18 hours) was easily managed with the better windscreen.
Very useful info. I'm glad MadStad is finally making a screen/bracket combo specifically for the 9gt vs the 900. I picked up my 9gt today, so I haven't had the chance to log any freeway miles yet but based on reviews from a wide range of statures, it sounds like the stock screen as well as the touring screen are far the best choice.
Is that a Pirates hat? If you're in the SWPA area I'd love to talk to you about this bike. I just bought a 2022 in the same color - had to go to a dealer in Bedford to get it. Awesome bike! I'd love to hear more about the Madstad windscreen.
The Madstad has worked quite well for me. Definitely a step above the OEM shield in terms of turbulence, so the price is worth it just for that. On really hot days you can fool around with the angle to get a little more wind to the helmet, so it’s OK in that sense, probably flows similar amounts of air as the OEM. All in all probably the first screen someone should purchase if they’re serious about turbulence.
Thanks much! Just what I needed to know. Curious what other mods you recommend. Looks like you purchased the comfort seat and installed the 3D printed shims. Did you consider any after market seats? The Corbin looks very comfy, but it's not cheap.
@@Richard-dh8ny I’ve played around with various aftermarket seats on previous bikes, it’s always an expensive crapshoot so I didn’t bother. The comfort seat is somewhat better, and will do for several hours. But for longer road trips, you could get a cheap seat cover that straps under the seat and cut out some foam and stuff it in there in order to alleviate pressure points (example the Airhawk seat covers, there are cheap knock offs).

I was thinking about getting the 2024 tracer 9 gt plus. Didn't know they had a 26" size.
