Thanks! It depends, some manufactureres riveted them in but others also used split pins so you can pretty much do whatever luckily. And yes, it was fun to restore! The moment I saw the decal wasn't denazified surprised me a lot.
Thank you! In this case I simply removed the paint mechanically, you can see what I used in the video. No thinners were used so that the patina and decal stay intact.

Nicely rescued LS Helmet!. The decal may be worn but at least not "de nazified".
