Xanadu was everything!!! I believe its from 1980. I wanted to roller skate everywhere in flowy dresses and ribbon barrettes!! I just watched it last weekend for the first time in a billion years. Still soooo good!! I agree completely with you, the best part is the merge of the two styles loved it!!! Still singing the songs after a week! ❤❤❤

Carrie fisher played Tom Hanks wife in the Burbs. I always say that my husband is like Tom Hanks because he’s always looking out the window and seeing what’s going on in the neighborhood. My favorite line was Let’s call the pizza dude!

She plays a single mom of 3 kids who takes in a little girl who reminds her of her younger self... The 80's child who still exists in me got so excited to find out that I got teary-eyed...

I will have to watch again to write down movies to watch, but there were definitely a bunch that I want to watch for the first time or haven’t watched in a while that I NEED to watch again! But The Great Outdoors in one of my All Time Faves!!! Somehow it would be on cable whenever we visited my Grandma (every summer for a week, we didn’t have cable at home) I would sleep in her room and watch on her itty bitty tv (smaller than 13” tv) all by myself and try to giggle quietly, while getting serious 😍😍😍 over Chris Young!!,
I used to watch 9 to 5 on repeat as a kid. I love it! Favorite part was when Jane Fonda got pissed at the copy machine...LOL! A must watch if you like Goldie Hawn is WildCats. It is so good! Use to watch that on on repeat too!

I loved 80's movies!!! My daughter just turned 16, and, I keep telling her that she has to watch Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink. John Hughes was so talented. Robin Williams is my all time favorite actor!! He is greatly missed. He was both a gifted comedic and dramatic actor. Patch Adams, Good Will Hunting, Dead Poets' Society and Good Morning Vietnam are among his best films!

I love this...80's childhood here. Seasonal recommendations are so great too. Lady in White is a 80's favorite for Halloween for me here, I think it gets forgotten. I love Hallmark channel for certain seasons but man they need to refresh actresses. We need 👍💪 Katherine Heigl (strong women get bs) Jennifer Love Hewitt, Keri Russell & Sarah Rue need to be in alot more movies/tv.
So many of these are faves of mine! But I have never seen Goonies all the way through 😳 ... And incase no one else has mentioned it... Home Alone was actually a house sized stage. They only took a few shots of the outside of the house they liked and built the rest of it. I only know because we watched the "Movies that made us" series on Netflix.

I love the eighties and nineties was born in 1984 and the goonies , the lost boys , pretty in pink , the breakfast club , a never ending story , sixteen candles just to name a few of my favorites I just love it . Oh and anything with robin Williams in it I love , he was one of my all time every actor as well

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was a remake of Bedroom Story with David Niven and Marlon Brando.....I love Hayley Mills, and have since I was little. In her Disney years she made a lot of movies...one I especially loved was "Pollyanna". Agnes Moorehead is in that as well. As she got older she was in a movie that I NEED to buy, called "The Trouble with Angels" which also starred Rosalind Russell. I am also a HUGE Sandra Bullock fan, and one of her early films with Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes" Demolition Man " to me is Everything!! Lol ...

It's by Jim Carey's ex wife Jenny McCarthy. It's call Dirty Love. No, it's not a sexual thing. It's about her catching her boyfriend cheating on her and she looks at love a whole different way now. OMG!!! It's hysterical!!! You gotta see it girl. It's a 2005 movie. I tried to see if Netflix had it and they didn't. Unless you can get the DVD? Don't know but maybe Amazon?? You gotta watch it!! At least once. Then you make the call. Had me almost peeing in my pants! Since your a movie buff I just had to let you know. 🤣😂☺️👍🤗❤️
