- Kentucky landed the services of both Koby Brea AND Kerr Kriisa on Wednesday. The question is: Is this UK’s starting backcourt? How does Lamont Butler factor into that backcourt? What about Otega Oweh? Elsewhere, Creighton got the news that Ryan Kalkbrenner is coming back (and it sounds like Steven Ashworth as well). This is welcome news for the Blue Jays who are losing Baylor Scheierman and Trey Alexander. Javon Small (Oklahoma State) has decided to transfer to West Virginia, which is a blow for Kentucky fans. Tough news late on Wednesday for Samford as they lost big man Achor Achor.

I think the majority of the UK messaging board thinks it will be Kriisa, Butler, Brea, Carr, and Willams. Willams will definitely be starting over Garrison. He is a 3 time defensive player of the year, and the main thing is he's already a passing big, which is preferred in a Pope system. That doesn't mean he won't develop into the starting center before the season is over; if not, he will definitely be ready for the next couple of years.
If we get Jaxson Robinson then Butler won’t start

Butler, Brea, Oweh, Carr and Williams will start the year as the main starters but I can see Butler and Kriisa being swapped out.
This should be the last year of fifth year seniors. Due to Covid.

THIS YEAR'S FINAL 4 HAD ONE 5 STAR PLAYER TOTAL THAT'S WHAT YOU LIKE WITH CAL SO DID I THE 5 STAR'S CAL BROUGHT TO UK BASKETBALL,BUT IT DIDN'T WORK THE LAST 6-8 YEARS WITH ALL 5 STAR'S FRESHMEN.
The perfect example of that bum of a coach proving to the world he can't coach a lick is on 14-15 when we had two starting 5s vs Wisconsin, we had them on the ropes and any decent coach would've ran them off the floor. But what did that bum do? He slowed the game down, used timeouts when Wisconsin was absolutely worn out. The guy is all talk and most of it is double speak and means absolutely nothing. Glad Rkansas took him off our hands for nothing.

Not too pleased with the Kriisa pickup, as I was expecting a much bigger fish. We are running out of roster spots quickly, and we still don't have any playmakers and real bucket-getters. Currently, we have a team full of role players that are mainly one-dimensional. If we don't get 2 of Robinson, Lanier, Poplar, Smith, Peterson, Osobor, Richmond, we are going to be in real trouble this coming season.
Kerr is a gangster. I was like you until I did some research. He's gonna be the heart of the team. Kinda like a Michael kidd gilchrist
All these players are perfect for his coaching style, They will be creating shots for each other. Not really forcing anything like in the past. Up being able to start five fifth year, seniors this team next year will definitely have a certain factor that none of Cals teams had. Just have to wait and see. Defense wins championships and we have 5 guys that shoot over %46 from 3. They will be unlike any other team with a unique roster like this.
No I in TEAM, I have seen you say this on every show UK. You shall see. Stars don´t mean anything, it is practice and coaching that hang banners. So, wait and see. I promise you we will hang Banner 9 this year while going 34-4 this year. I will hang up and watch as we cruise thru March into April. Well found the guy who comments like he knows basketball but doesn't know anything at all. Do any research or look at any of the advanced stats with the Pope offense then you realize this team is perfectly fitted and with still 4 more spots we are plenty good.
Last 7years we have had plenty of play makers, 1 NCAA TOURNAMENT WIN IN 5YEARS,1 SEC TOURNAMENT WIN IN 5YEARS, LAST 4 YEARS UK HAS PUT 14 PLAYERS IN THE NBA NOT COUNTING LAST Years TEAM.
SO RETHINK YOUR THINKING ON WHAT IS A PLAY MAKER.
