San Juan Trainz: Saddled with Limits
Вставка
- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- Tired of being limited to switching and freight shuttles, Ben yearns to break free and be able to lead the "San Juan Limited" at track speed. With the right attitude and enough training, Ben believes he can do it, no problem. Or so he thinks.

As a person who models British locomotives, not all tank engines can handle the duties mentioned by Frank. One example is the GWR 1400 class 0-4-2T as seen in 'The Titfield Thunderbolt', which was built for secondary route (branch line) passenger trains but can't perform shunting as their large driving wheels are meant for speed and in shunting or switching, you need something built for power not speed (but being Great Western, it was based off something created before, the 517 class). Another example is the LMS Fowler 3F "Jinty", which was designed for shunting but became known for also performing banking duties (pushers or helpers), suburban passenger and even small goods trains. While they top out at 60mph, I hate to be in the cab of one going at that speed, which led to them being used on slower trains. Also, compared to the 1400, the Jinty has smaller driving wheels as it needs the power to shunt trains, especially when the track's on a slope. Way to remember with British locomotives: Larger driving wheels = higher top speeds and low power, small driving wheels = lower top speeds and high power.
It’s the weird laugh from Ben about the word “titfield” that for some reason amuses me so much
I sure hope that the T-I-T in titfield wasn't the obscene usage of the word.
"And all we had to do was dismember him."
That sounds so wrong on so many levels...
“ I will personally send you to some backwood tourist railroad in Pennsylvania “
I feel like that was a shot at Strasburg
no, it was referencing gettysburg. SRC isnt backwoods at all
@Redlineoverload Productions I’ve been there, it sucks
OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR SOMETHING
This is my favorite line when anthony said it 5:48 anthony is if my favorite character you know the 4-4-0 tender engine and also this one 7:24 this might be the most funniest episode i have ever seen in my entire life
Nice, you added better sound effects.
Might as well make some improvements.
"Just be glad it's not October" oh yeah, the Halloween Special.
Surprise twist: Ben doesn't find 'Titfield' funny, he's laughing at 'Thunderbolt'
Oh boy, a reupload.
What I would have said is “that’s why we don’t put you on anything fast. That’s why Nathan doesn’t pull trains over 60 mph and that’s why Annie doesn’t pull drag freights”.
Nathan’s an L-4 Mohawk
If you’re talking about the L-1’s and L-2’s, then yes, they can’t pull trains over 60 mph due to their poorly balanced reciprocating gear.
L-3’s and L-4’s are dual service locomotives, meaning they can handle the 20th Century at 80 mph and come back comfortably with a heavy freight.
@@NMCAR2006 are u quoting that one documentary?
@@MiddletownBranchProd. Oh wow you found that somehow, completely forgot about this comment. Yes and no. I was quoting the documentary at the last part, but mostly I was just correcting him that Nathan would be capable of handling trains over 60 mph because he’s an L-4b that was designed with better reciprocating gear than the L-2’s he was talking about.
@@NMCAR2006 yeah
I just noticed now they just put the firebox from Ben then swapped it out for the firebox on the locomotive that can pull the Sam Juan limited
Its called a smokebox
Everyone gangsta until 1401 rolls up with her branch line train.
The San juan has a connection to the DT&I(Detroit Toledo and Ironton Railroad)(also known as Henry Fords Railroad being purchased by Henry Ford)
It has a connection with the Burlington Northern and Santa Fa (formerly Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe). The DT&I is in Michigan, while the SJW is in Colorado.
God this ending is hilarious. Partly because it’s something that could actually be done.
Thanks
so wait. Do they only have one switcher engine? That's kinda dumb on the "Trainmaster's" part don't you think? I mean this is coming from a guy who's a huge fan of switchers so take what I say with a grain of salt but having another switcher, like the USRA 0-6-0 slope tender switcher, would me technically, depending on the size of the san Juan, they could get the work done in half the time.
It's okay, Grant the 0-6-0 was introduced a couple of episodes later. :P
@@HighIron That's good. As someone who worked on a railroad I know how chaotic it can get when the switcher goes down.
Ellis was here
This is the EXACT same thing I was thinking for my Sodor universe THE ENGINES ARE THE SMOKE BOX DOORS!
Classic
And in the end Ben becomes a CN S-1-b LOL
This is my favorite episode!
Thanks
this is nice😊
A reupload, huh ok.
15:39, say it with me, “HUH,NO!,ANYTHING BUT THAT”
Could'nt the engineer of Ben just pull a Chris Pine and have to climb out of Ben cab and manually uncouple Ben from the Limited?
Just a thought.
Lol I have the very same saddle tank engine and his name is Dave
“Or I will personally send you to some backwoods tourist operation in Pennsylvania!”
“NO ANYTHING BUT THAT!”
Here, in 2021, I was thinking how do you get the 4-8-2 L-4b type locomotive? Also known as "Nathan"
Look up “NYC Mohawk LOD in the download station”
Does Nathan's voice sounds like the narrator?
Did you know i Miss this series
the series never left though
Ok now that’s a good Thomas reference
Another gay another fifty loads to move
19:30 good for you 👍
Is this a reupload?
San Joaquin Railfan yes
Yes. It is. So I guess I'm gonna write down bits of Drving the Last Spike in the comments.
Ben should have gotten a clue it wasn't the limited if it was UP cars
That was the limited
Nice episode
Thanks
awesome video :)
Thanks
What route is this.
North Texas Railroad their own route it’s not for download
Their own interpretation of San Juan. The original route it's based on is still up for download on Slugsmasher's site. Just search for a Clear Lake Pak.
Also, apologies in advance since I'd seen the disclaimer at the beginning of videos related to the San Juan series as of late, but..........anyone know what route is used as the actual Joint Line to Trinidad?
Who in the world would put a speaker and a projector on a steam locomotive?
5:42 Ben has an aux tender
Wait, I thought you said trainmaster didn’t remember the ghost episode.
18:58. Why. You could of made new parts for him but why did you have to detach 3254 apart
that is craig
that is craig
that is craig
@@menaravaladao3520 uhhhh ok?
That is just craig but they de attached his Train talking tech and front , and moved it to Ben
The main train of this video is bno c16 #98
Cool reupload
Has the the link to your discord server been updated yet I'd so want to join since I enjoyed the san Juan Branchline series
Haha, that's a good one, "A TRAINing montage."
wait why be glad it's not october??
I think he's referring to what went down during the San Juan Halloween Special.
Ah yes the San Juan Halloween special when the Burlington train GP38 got attacked by ghost trains lol
That’s the one. Of course he miraculously made an appearance in Fruitless Search in those BN colors.
He escaped. Some do, others don't
What is the music called at the end of the video
18:21 - 18:24 what is all of that track on the side in front of the small building
A reupload?
Yea, more than likely because they ain’t uploading in the other channel anymore, so they are just gonna put em on here
Trying to move everything here for ad revenue.
the ending solution is messed up but wholesome
Sorry for asking but do you know where can I get the union Pacific passenger cart/coach pack?
Christiana Ericka Loxzy dls
@@Reading3412Studios thanks :)
Ben’s whistle is the best
What's that theme song?
I’m guessing they don’t like Pennsylvania
It's just home to a lot of tourist lines
6:04 lol
XD
Why was this reuploaded here?
Ad revenue
Ok, who the scrap is rocky?
A switcher? Just my guess.
It's a movie
What song is that at the end?
If you are talking about the end credits song, that song is "Hooky with Sloane" by Bird Creek.
What is that song at the end called?
I don't know. No idea.
Can you please tell me what is that theme song is called at the beginning?
Is the all the engines from sodor workshop?
Do you think American engines would be in Sodor workshop?
@@MiddletownBranchProd. Realized my mistake a year ago, i was new to trainz
@@Doog1-q5i ah ok
