Every single hair on my body is standing on end. AMAZING
Right at 7:30 it starts with that hi-hat and snare riff. Same as the one played earlier in the song. However, this one is different than the riff from before. Attention to detail is insane with this cover.
Remembering all of these on such long songs requires not only skill but time studying and learning the progression of the song. Superb work.
Two things become glaringly apparent when I watch these highly commendable drum covers : the sheer brilliance of Rush as a whole .. & the absolute genius of Professor Neil Peart ! Well done! 👍👏👏👏
i've been playing in a rush tribute band for over 20 years. i've studied every aspect of neil peart, even having lessons from neil himself, and i have to say this is an awesome cover of camera eye. whoever gave the three thumbs down obviously doesn't appreciate good drumming. nicely done!
I doubt Neil knew how many millions of people he inspired to pick up a pair of sticks. Thanks for sharing this. You nailed it!
Dude, you truly are talented. I could watch you play all day. This is another one of my favorites you nailed.
This IS shit from my childhood. Rush was my #1 influence on a music career that lasted a good 20 years. The fact that this is here blows me away. Especially since I have kids now and I have done the multi-instrumentalist bit along with mixer and producer for a number of years (kids, btw, are mesmerized by ALL these videos I have been playing them). I could only wish I was a competent as our said benefactor.
Camera Eye was always one of my fav Rush songs. I cannot understand why there are not hundreds of thousands of subs. EVERY Neil Peart fan deserves this.
I love how we can't see the face. Just the work, the action. Please include some sort of donation something somewhere so I can give you SOMETHING for your enjoyment of playing what you love (and my watching it).
The professor on the drum kit...
Absolutely fantastic. It’s highly doubtful Neil did this without edits, stops and starts, etc in the studio. Very well done.
This makes me appreciate Neil’s talent even more. Because the drums are louder than the background track I can hear a lot more nuance and detail than from listening to this song numerous times and seeing the greatest band of all time live numerous times Excellent cover.
this is amazing , this shows just how complex Niels drum patterns were , his time changes were mechanical genius
Man, RIP Neil. I've been binging your videos these past few days as we have learned the best drummer ever has passed into the next realm. Seriously, best Rush drum covers on youtube. Best camera angle, hitting every note with ease, a setup very similar to that of Neil, and great sound quality. Plus nearly all of the Rush catalog documented for all to see for generations to come. You've certainly earned yourself a subscriber and should have far more than you do. Thanks for these, and thanks for really honoring and highlighting the skill and degree to which Neil crafted his drum parts.
Well done. You made that little flurry at 3:05 look effortless.
I have been playing for 43 years and have always tried to model my drumming after Neil Peart. So I know what it takes to play Rush. Great job!
My man.. when they get back together and they will, you and pauliewanna are the top two choices. You did the professor proper here👍💯🥁
Holy $^*#!!!!! I've found the Rush drum cover promised land. Well done, Sterling! If the rest of your Rush covers are as good as this, I won't be disappointed.
Intense energy and possibilities
As Neal retires, you'll be the next rush drummer.
I wouldn’t plan on that if I were you. A tour without Neil would fall flat, no matter the quality of drummer. Just sayin.
My nick name growing up by everyone who knew me was Geddy lee Harris for my love of playing rush and maiden.😂 I'm a bass player and I could watch your videos all day. You nail the feel and little details that must be there. Well done
Incredible. I have had dreams about being able to play this song at this level, but unfortunately cannot yet. You on the other hand, mimic the god and originator of these beats in great detail. Sick!!
Welcome back! This is an epic song! Great drumming and great video! Damn great playing man! 🤘🏻🍻
I love the relaxed style in all these videos. Effortless!
Awesome! Nailed it! One of my favorite songs from Rush.
As usual, you can mute this and play the original song synced to the video to find the Sterling doesn't miss a single stroke. Amazing.
Bravo. My favorite Rush tune. Nice job.
you just gained a new fan would love to here you do some toto or police awesome man
Been listening to this song since the early 80’s... Excellent song & well done...
Most excellent video. You nailed every part!!! Beautiful job. My utmost respect to you. I'm a fan.

Good God. Everyone wants to be like that !
Yes once again. You Guys have seen my comments. This Kid is the Best Drummer.I have ever seen on this channel. I could Watch him all nite Long !!!!!!!
I dig it! Thank you for that performance
Beautifully done! I have been a RUSH fan all of my life, I have no idea how many times I have listened to The Camera Eye, never appreciated the complexity until I watched this overhead view.
Wow, very good! Original tempo too! Bravo! I would not want to arm-wrestle you!
Listen to this with headphones.... amazing
Parabéns pelo seu trabalho é ótimo, meticuloso como o som do Rush, minha banda favorita!!!
Desde o Brasil um abraço!!!🕊️☀️🙏👏👏👏👏👏
this is amazing , your on point with the best drummer that ever walked the earth
The man just gets the job done! No ifs or but's about it...you're dedication to perfection it's unmatched Sterling.🥁🥁🥁
The Professor is smiling on you !
👍👍
Man, sounds great Neal would be proud that performance! Probably my favorite Rush song.
Pure Gold Sterling.
Incredible skills and control....
I love this drum cover, thanks! 🙂
Outstanding cover
Thumbs down really ? This dude jams period
Man there’s really something about those two drum breaks during the pulsing keyboard part. The orchestration of the toms is so fun.
you even got the westmister chimes in there, cool!
Outstanding!
HOLY F**K This is amazing! You are awesome!!
SUPERB & Clean Cymbals, such Attention to Details🤯!!! 'nuff said! \m/ \m/
Such a wickedly cymbal-heavy song, (in my top 3 fave by Rush), and exquisitely played!!
Pretty dam awesome bud. Love me some Rush. Back in high school I used to play the hole album of Caress of steel. God bless
Always amazing deeper bass drum sound sounds great
OMG! Fantastic!!
Awesome performance and thanks for sharing your video with us RUSH FAN
Bravo Well Done 👍
Amazing cover of a song that takes you on a journey. You do a fantastic job of channeling your inner Professor with your percussion.
Perfection! And a great song as well. All Rush songs are great , just some a little greater than others.
No words dude!!
Too perfect...must be CGI
Freaking awesome my friend. Smooth and sounds great like always
You capture Neil wonderfully
One of my fav tracks to this day your mix volume was a touch loud but you did a great job playing it I have been playing bass for 35 years and loved working on geds bass lines as well one little victory is a real powerhouse as well 🥁🎸
Sterling, Neal is looking down on you and is Pleased!!!
To get all those different fills and cymbals down, WOOOOOOW!!! Amazing man!!! Are you memorizing all this or somehow referencing something? If memorizing, how many times do you go through it before recording? As you know, Neil RARELY ever did the same fill twice. I don't even think he would play this THIS accurately live, honestly. Major props man!!!
A very enjoyable song to play? Very progressive and yet passive. Love it. Well done
Great work muy bueno
Insane. I always wanted to see this. TY❤️
Bravo, bravo, bravo.
nailed another one hats off bud.
Meeeeen! THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🫡🫡🫡👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Loved it. Well played. I like the huge kick drum sound, it adds a little something extra.
Great job.
Wow dude on point. Best cover i have seen yet..
The best. When can we see you - see you?
Wow! Wow!
Well done sir. That's the best rendition I've seen in a long time. Love the sound of the drums on the low end. They almost seem to resonate as the base note takes over and you don't know where it ends and begins. Would like to see more high toms as Neil did in that song, but that's just me being picky. Again good job
Parabéns Fantastic
Great job man!!!! I love this song whenever I just want to chill at home/relax after a hard days work.
God bless you brother!!
Quite impressive, bravo!
Excellent shot bro,Well done man!!Nice kit too, damn.Real nice playing too.
Sadly, Neil Peart has passed away, January 7, 2020, at the age of 67. We will remember you, Neil! (www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/neil-peart-rush-obituary-936221/)
more powerful, more concert toms, like it a lot !
Nice cover.
My favorite version is when Neil plays missing a tom live.
I forgot you'd be playing Big Ben at the end, good job.
Brilliant
Great job as always Sterling
Yes!!
Glad to see you around again, I thought you had finished with all Rush's discography.
this song is awesome, and also drum cover!
Yes Sir you nailed it.
wow!
Rush deberia contratarte para seguir sus concuertos!
Amazing job!
Sterling Fuentes great performance man. Keep on thundering :)
Meticulously enjoyable.
ONLY Neil Peart has the right to give a thumbs down.... and he certainly wouldn't do that with drumming of
Such a high standard... so whoever gave the thumbs down....... think shame of yourself...
I think one of those thumbs down was Lars Ulrich
@@miguelsantiago4610 wtf
@Nathan GDL as does your grammar.
