The more Adam is impressed the more animated he becomes, the highest level of his admiration involves him cupping his face. Boy did she nail it with that costume. Fantastic.
Someone who is this talented at DIY costume replicating should really be hired to work on film production. The talent... it's like someone who found their calling.
Film industry sucks.. shed need to confirm every creative decision with 20 people and wait for a response before being able to put any of her ideas into motion that lead to this amazing costume 🤮👎 I'll never understand why when seeing a successful creator people say "tHeY shOulD giVE uP all ThAT cREatiVe fREEdOM aNd wOrK fOr SoMEoNe ElSe"
Adam always gets the best guests to appear on this channel, and then he does an amazing job interviewing them and helping them to show off their work to their best. Thank you Adam, for introducing us to another wonderful creation from a wonderful creator, and letting us see a bit of the magic behind the wings!
I love how excited Adam is looking at all the details even with his experience, this is what makes me keep coming back. He is genuine in celebrating skilled makers all around him.
Im amazed by the structure of the wings staying put so nicely. I used armature wire to build my kids nine tailed fox costume, and I struggled getting them to stay up. I probably needed thicker wire, but Id love to see detail on how the wings attach to the body. Im sure the corset helps a lot with the structure.
First, that is an absolutely amazing cosplay, she should be so proud of it. Second, thank you for shining a light on talented people in the community. Your genuine interest and enthusiasm are so infectious.
Haven't been to conventions in many years. Just an hour ago was saying how the thing I miss most is seeing the cosplays and then see this! Thank you for sharing, it is beautiful work and a delight to see! =D
Clicked for the black and shiny, stayed for the craftsmanship. Amazing work! By the way: the achilles heel of most cosplays is a distracting cheap wig that makes everything else fall apart. But this wig looks true to the character on Sandman.
I hope they make a season 2. The art direction of that series alone makes it well worth a watch. Very creative, otherworldly but also grounded. She did an amazing job recreating that costume, looks 100% like what it looked like on screen 👌🏻
That cosplay is amazing! The wings are phenomenal, I just want to flap them. The hair here is imo even better than the original, as this hair implies horns in a way that the original just doesn't.
This video just popped up after I watched the last one... What a gorgeous outfit! It would be so even without the wings. I've loved the gothic / alternative fashions for 18 years now. Coming up with an idea of making the wings animatronic using Bowden cables or something similar, with drive on the back and wheels in the joints to make the wings expand or retract.
That is absolutely Incredible! It is perfect in every way! I would have loved to see all around (front, back, top, bottom) - such a masterpiece! Sandman was such an awesome show and she just NAILED Lucifer's outfit! WOW!
This version of the character is indeed my fave too, as it has this commanding, elegant and regal presence to it, can't wait for the Season 2 exploring more on her too!! 🥹
I so get the "procratinating" on a project like this. On a recent Laura Kampf video though I saw someone drop the term "Procrati-making" and my god does that fit! So from now on, I'll be using Procrastimaking when I'm stalling a hard job by perfecting something I'm working on.
Adam is amazing. He's been in the industry for decades, but still finds joy in how other people make things, and praise them for their skills. Many people are blasé after a few years, and don't have the time for other people's skills. It's a joy to watch, and must be encouraging for the builders he meets.
I've been following her on Instagram for a good while now, so happy to see her get the exposure she deserves! I'm a woodworker but I love watching people make things of any kind. Appreciate you bringing her on and shining a spotlight on her!
I'm always happy to see Adam get so excited around other people's costumes and props and such, but I have to wonder if they talk about what he's allowed to touch beforehand? Adam seems to be very hands on when it comes to things he's excited about, and I just hope he's not invading anybody's boundaries of comfort when doing so. I mean, can't blame him, he's around some of the coolest stuff there is, and he's a very hands on person in every aspect of his life it seems.
super inspiring, dang i could not help but smile ear to ear the whole vod. Thanks so much for sharing !! dang edit hit the button to fast, by the way the small detail, tiny detail means the most. the things only people that build would see.. thats the joy. hidden in plain sight.
Lovely costume from a great series! I too was waiting for the attachment point reveal on her back, but no magician reveals all their secrets. Thank you, Beverly, for creating it and to Adam for bringing it to us. Now we just need to see the black & white versions together!

Adam I heard that you’ll be at comiccon in Indianapolis tomorrow, I hope I get to meet you, you’re one of my top 2 childhood heros LOL
The more Adam is impressed the more animated he becomes, the highest level of his admiration involves him cupping his face.
Boy did she nail it with that costume. Fantastic.
I had to go back and look at other videos, you're absolutely right, hands-to-face is the highest accolade you can get from Adam!

She is a very hot lucifer
It’s terrific to see two people talking and connecting over something they’re both passionate and knowledgeable about.
why is it that seeing adam geek out over someone else's work brings me joy?

Chris Bartlett needs to get on there.
Don't simp
Adam simpin way to hard for these cosplayers....
I love how excited Adam is looking at all the details even with his experience, this is what makes me keep coming back. He is genuine in celebrating skilled makers all around him.
Amazing work Beverly!
Thank you! It was SO FUN to chat with him about this costume build!
@@DownenCreativeStudios THIS IS SO COOL! I absolutely love how you did the wings! I just finished my first costume/cosplay ever 3 days ago
@@ike789125 That's awesome! Welcome to the obsession! :)
What I love is that it is clear that amazing work is an iterative process with mistakes along the way. It is rarely perfect the first time.❤
A really great show !!! What an amazing job she did !!!
Anyone else screaming at the screen for her to turn around so we could see the back of the costume?? Amazing work. ❤❤❤
Yes!

This woman needs to sing "Suddenly Seymour" in that exact outfit. Love!
Beverley Downen is an incredible talent. I love these videos exploring her amazing work! 😀👏
I really enjoy these real person guests he has on, Adam makes everything feel so reachable by us mortals.
Haven't been to conventions in many years. Just an hour ago was saying how the thing I miss most is seeing the cosplays and then see this! Thank you for sharing, it is beautiful work and a delight to see! =D
Honestly, some cosplay creators are artists in their own right. Amazing ingenuity!

Absolutely mind blowing costume!

They are making more episodes, just not calling them "seasons".
It's not nearly as creative as the comics, a clear downgrade
@@tehdouglas1 I thought they were very accurate to the comics, especially with Gaiman heavily involved in all of the creative decisions.
I absolutely loved this interaction. And how excited they both are about all the little details!
Adam, you were struggling to keep your hands to yourself. It was adorable. The hands in the armpits is his tell.
Great wings! Sadly, we never get to see the reverse side … even with me yelling at the video “turn around”! 😊
I watched the battle scene between Lucifer and the Sandman again, and I gotta say she nailed that costume. Amazing work.
Fantastic job, Beverly! I loved watching the build from start to finish!
That cosplay is amazing!
The wings are phenomenal, I just want to flap them.

That was just wow moment after wow moment! Massive bravo to Beverly!
While not free, the tyvek painters coverall "bunny" suits you can buy at home depot are a great source for that type of mock up fabric.
What a fantastic build, no doubt a lot of hard work. Well done.

Having Adam swoon over your costrume and build process must be one of the greatest rewards for any cosplayer
That was one of my favorite Lucifer depictions in a while.
What a fetching costume ❤ Travel friendly with wings? Sure looks like magic to me 😊
I love that she followed nature's design for a bat wing and was inspired by it. She looks so proud of it, and with good reason!
That is absolutely Incredible! It is perfect in every way! I would have loved to see all around (front, back, top, bottom) - such a masterpiece! Sandman was such an awesome show and she just NAILED Lucifer's outfit! WOW!
Wings are amazing!
Incredible work as always Beverly!!!
So brilliant! Agree 100% that rotary cutters are amazing. Thank you!!!
Wow! Absolutely beautiful ❤

I love this guest. She’s charming and super talented. I wish I was so into anything to this level. It’s amazing.
So very special to debut a costume on Adam's channel. You honor us, Lucifer Morningstar.
I am amazed! Wow.
Absolutely amazing cosplay job! Show real talent in every aspect of it. You can see Adam agrees :)
I just got back from a Lucifer (TV) this past weekend in NJ! Beautiful work!
Stunning & amazing! Great job!
so cool i love the wings
So cool! Loved seeing this come together over on IG.
Amazingly skilled artist!
I came for the stillsuit but I stayed for this incredible piece of work. Those wings are absolutely incredible.
Wow what a cosplay. Loved it.
Just amazing work
Amazing work, so well done!
I loved everything about this video.

looks very good. I didn't think I would end up liking The Sandman as much as I did
super inspiring, dang i could not help but smile ear to ear the whole vod. Thanks so much for sharing !! dang edit hit the button to fast, by the way the small detail, tiny detail means the most. the things only people that build would see.. thats the joy. hidden in plain sight.
Fabulous costume. I would have loved to see the elbow and knuckles detail she kept referring to.
That's so sick 🤘🖤
Well done Beverly!😀
It's Amazing, but I wish we'd been shown the back view! Seriously very gorgeous!
Very cool!
Thank you
Hire this great artist! F-ing Awesome! 👏🏻👏🏻🤘🏻 Well done!
It's a fantastic costume.
Brilliant video .
amazing🤗
Wow. 💯🔥🔥
Fitting support for wings of that size in a costume that sheer is a feat of engineering! Dragon approved.
I can't wait to see the con pics that come from this
My mom and aunts who quilt really love their rotary cutters, especially for long cuts with a straight edge, it's just easier.
Just wow
Do hope she got to see some of Adam's suits too and how detailed those are :)
Very cool.
Lovely costume from a great series! I too was waiting for the attachment point reveal on her back, but no magician reveals all their secrets. Thank you, Beverly, for creating it and to Adam for bringing it to us.

Beverly is the best!!!
Looks great. The wings look as though they’re permanently poised to open up.
Very impressive
That jacket is very cool, once she is done showing the whole custome, I think she can use it for other ocations.
This is great. I have built many winged costumes including a Goliath gargoyle that's 7 feet wide.
I want those wings. Just walk around work with them like they aren’t there :p
Fantastic costume
The wings move very...... Organically (?)... They really look like they're a part of her body when she moves.... Well Done! 😁👍
I really want to see a full 360° turn of the custom.
This is devine!
It would be so cool if you could make the wings open out and close at will, and make them sorta pulse when at rest.
Such a treat to see my friend Beverly on Tested. Amazing work as always!
I think I'm in love. Unbelievable job on the whole costume. 👍
That's an amazing outfit!
