Thanks for the review :) I bought 21 grams of the old gen. Great darts but they were a little bit light for me, so I gave them to my son. ( btw he is also a subscriber ;) I'd love to buy 23 grms of the gen 2 but they are pricey.
Nice review! thanks for reviewing these, I have two sets of gen 1's and they have been my "go back to" darts. Of course I changed the points outs (stock points are too smooth for me; nano grip) so I use TARGET FIRE STORM ONYX CUT GOLD 26MM. Ill be getting a set of these soon, thanks again for the review!
Love these Darts. It's my second set Darts ever bought because I started playing only about a year ago. Because I'm German and he is, of course, quite successful, I bought them without ever having thrown them, but I don't regret it at all. I'm practicing with them for about three months daily and they look and feel almost new. Like you and Clemens, I also chose KFlex flights, the short ones in my case, and because I wanted to try long points, I swapped the 26mm swiss storm nano points for 35mm Swiss storm points without grip. By the way, amazing review as always! If I hadn't bought them already, I would have bought them now for sure.
I think that the 1st generation of Gabriel’s darts were very good. I think I would love these darts. The hard plastic flights like K-Flex, Condor…. definitely make it to the board faster than standard flights and shafts.
Worldwide; Another great review. I would probably change out the points for a set that's longer with no nano rings (personal preference). Thanks and keep the videos rolling.
Excellent review once again. I love that you were able to throw the box into a Disc Golf basket. That made me laugh. The darts do look super nice but are a bit pricey. I like that they come with the Swiss Storm points however they look way too short for me anymore. Me personally, I have been using Mission Sniper points (longest version available) for quite some time now. 26mm points simply don’t even look right for me anymore. The K Flex was a super nice addition. I wish Target would start making longer Swiss Storm points because I refuse to use non-specialty points anymore. Keep the expert reviews coming!
Thanks for the review wwd after watching this my next set is definetley gonna have the the swiss points i just think its way better than having to repoint or have to buy a repointing tool so thanks again see you next time
Loved the Gen 1's but wasn't sure about the sandblast on the Gen 2's. Having seen this i will probably try them they look great to throw. Great video again!
They look really nice. I’ve been throwing heavy darts my whole life usually between 26g-28g. I’m small and skinny so I thought heavier darts would be better for me because when I throw light darts they go all over the place lol. Great review.
Thanks. That's a HEAVY dart. It puts you on the extreme end of weight when compared to most players. I can't imagine using something that heavy and trying to play in longer format matches. American by chance?
Hands down, best looking players dart on the market today! But.... I just couldn't throw these. Got the gen 1's wich were not grippy enough, so got rid of them. Gen 2's are a bit more grippy, but I just couldn't get the hang of them. My heart sank after a month of trying. Wanted these to work for me so bad, but alas.
Very similar to the Bolide I just got. Though I'm surprised its not near as grippy. Those yellow stems lasted about 2 play session though. Snapped at the flight on all 3...
I've had my eye on his set of darts. Are the G1 ones Swiss point darts as well? I'll have to have a look. I do like that shape though. 23g as well, the good starter weight for anyone. 🙂
@@WorldwideDarts true i live in the uk looked at the stock managed to get 1 pair and then they sold out straight after.I hope you manage to get your hands on a pair of them 👍
I bought the Gen 1 darts after watching your review, this year my sister started playing and asked me what darts I recommend, she ended up getting the Gen 2, about a week later one of the points broke right at the place the tool goes, she since bought new Swiss points, hopefully it was a fluke
The 36mm dymant points are not specialty points do you advise nose cones? I use the RvB 25 but a lot bounce outs also with long points and specialty points
Been trying to get hold of these in 23G for a while but had no luck, with them been so thin at the back do you feel like they feel excessively light? Because I’m thinking of just biting the bullet and getting them in 21G 😅
There is a little over 18mm of drill depth to play with. You could very easily bump them to 22g using tungsten putty. Just make sure you or anyone reading this uses the putty made for Pinewood derby cars as it's NOT sticky. The putty made for fishing is sticky and should be avoided.
what is your experience with the "sand blasted" finish ? do you think it will turn to shit after one year ? thanks for the review. they are nice looking darts with the specialty points.
Hello mate. I've had these darts for nearly 2 months now and have had a decent try of them. I've got them in 23g and as you say, they feel lighter than their actual weight. Did you notice any fade away just as they got to the board? I have a fairly strong throw and I just couldn't stop the dart from dropping low right before it lands. Did you experience this? I've tried them with the default setup, and I've also tried it with my own Fusion short stem No6 setup... Same issue! Also, will you be able to get your hands on the Exo collection any time soon? I've got a feeling they're going to be the new Bolide's! So get in quick before Target hike their price like they did with the Bolide's - they're currently selling for £34.95 which was the same as the Bolide collection at launch that are now going for £10 more. Appreciate your video as always. Glad to see your knee is behaving itself now - and love the new room too!
Thanks! YES, I did notice that when throwing these darts. Especially the first few turns. Everything was going low. The dart would look like it was going on target but then at the last split second it dropped low. It was most noticeable when using the stock setup as I was recording the bullseye intro. Later on when I was using the K-Flex it was a bit better and the dart would enter into the board straighter. I saw the new EXO and everyone will be trying to get their hands on them. I'm more interested in the lesser known new releases of the Japanese version CRUX darts. Specifically the CRUX Brave darts. They look absolutely wild!
@@WorldwideDarts - that's a relief! Thought I was going mad thinking I'm imagining them dropping off like a sack of potatoes! 😂 I might retry them, but also, the barrel is probably a couple of mm too long for me. Yep. I nearly bought the Target Crux barrel 03 a lil while ago, but as a rear gripper, that small smooth section would get in the way, I think.
Have you seen the Japanese models of CRUX though? I'm not talking about the 3 models they already have. It's the release that many don't know about... top.target-darts.jp/news/158
