From intern to country director - 20 years of Blue Ventures in Madagascar

We celebrated our 20th anniversary in September, marking two decades of putting coastal communities at the heart of efforts to rebuild fisheries and protect our oceans.
I spoke with some of our first team members, who reflected on what we’ve achieved in our journey over the last two decades. The stories were captured on the same beach in southern Madagascar, where we welcomed our first volunteers in 2003.
Our accomplishments this year were only possible thanks to the support of our friends, partners, and thousands of supporters like you. We are enormously grateful to everyone who has supported us this year to drive forward this locally led global marine conservation movement.
