Of all the fishing videos I watch your are absolutely the most enjoyable. You make it feel as though I’m out with my good ole fishing buddy just enjoying the day. Being thankful for any catch and sharing your knowledge and experience. Yes sir you’re like an old friend that helps make a fishing trip turn into a memory. Thanks for sharing. 🐟😊
Wow...I'm headed to Weiss next Saturday..hope the water is better.love it ..thank for getting out in this friend .cold and snowy here in Michigan. Wooooooo
I believe you're on your way right to 100k subs machine! Amount of content, variety and most important how you handle yourself, the love and respect you have for the sport! All top notch! Keep it up, you're the best.
You could fish with just about anything and still catch fish....love to see your skill.... but especially you tell what you did in finding them. I love those details. More, more!
I really enjoy your videos. It feels like I am in the boat with you. Wearing the camera on you is a style not used by other video fishermen. You truly are the fishing machine.
I enjoy your videos immensely. I especially enjoy your style of fishing. You truly seem to enjoy every minute, even when you come out in adverse conditions. We always see you catch fish but we don't always know how much time you may have spent on the water. Another reason I enjoy these videos, you talk your way through every cast to let us know your strategy or what type of fish you may have caught... and you don't rush things.. and I think that is my favorite part. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge. Keep up the good work!
I really wish that my pop or 1 of my grandpas would have had time to spend with me. A super bonus would have been that they had some fishing knowledge to pass along to me. I really enjoy your videos and I am trying to learn from them, but nothing could compare to firsthand learning. So many fishermen are sooooo secretive about how they catch fish. I thank you sir for not being one of those fishermen. Keep on sharing that knowledge Mr Richard "BECAUSE IT'S GOOD FOR YA".
Richard thank you for your vids. I use to fish all the time for 60 years. For the past 10 years my health, and a car accident has had me confined to a lazy boy. I am 70 your vids has made me determined to get out and fish again. Can you help me? I am confined to bank fishing in murky water. I am unable to move around a lot and my time is very limited because of my strength limitation but hope that will change getting out more God willing. Can you give me some specific things that bank fisherman can do to improve their odds. I am extremely thankful for you videos and your family to allow you to get out and touch lives. This is way more than just about fishing. God Bless! Tom
Thanks Richard for sharing your experience on the water. Enjoyed watching you catching those beautiful bass. And as always your videos are informative!
Love your vids been watching for a while, but wasnt sure how to leave a comment. Love how simple you keep your trips for the common everyday fisherman.
I'm glad to see your able to get to your boat ramp Richard. Here below Wilson Dam the water is still so high they have the Park still closed off. I figure it will take another week for it to be back to normal. 👊👍
😁👍 Cool! I went fishing last month and the water was very dirty brownish looking I did not catch anything but the water was probably 40 something degrees.. Got to wait for warmer weather!
Hey buddy hope you and your family and friends are safe from the tornados just seen bama got hit hard and 23 people lost there life's hope your safe man
I tend to judge angler's personalities by how they release the fish. Some folk simply just toss em. This guy is gentle about it. Kudos to being humane and human
I've had a clear blue see through type of swimbait out perform a shad colored swimbait several times on Dale Hollow..Maybe shad look light blue sometimes to the bass recon?Great video!
Colors do change in the water....I "recon". Here in Central Fl, most lakes and rivers are tannin stained, and chartreuse is a very productive color. One day I put some lake water in a home aquarium and lowered a chartreuse jig into it, and it lost virtually all it's green hue, which led me to speculate that while there ARE times when fish want a loud color, more often they seem to want a quieter, more natural looking lure. If you lowered a clear jig you'd run the risk of it disappearing in stained water, and you don't want that. But the chartreuse was necessary to start with in order to be diffused to the color the fish sees when subject to the tannin (basically sepia) color of the water. Gold is excellent here also. The baitfish are colored by the stain in the water and take on a gold hue...sometimes even orang-ish on the belly in the rivers, and of course there are the orange belly panfish all over, but even tho, in the light of day it may be bright orange, in the tannin water it appears that same brownish sepia color.
Would you do a tutorial on how to use a baitcaster? I have always used spinning reels and zebcos when I was younger. Just got a baitcaster and all I do is linespool.
Another great video Richard. I was wondering what brand of camera you use. It works extremely well. I am looking to purchase a camera, so many to choose from. Be helpful to know especially from someone that has put one to the test. Thanks
I'd pay all expenses for a trip just so we could tell each other fish stories from the past and catch some fish. A wise man once said we should go fishing when we can because it's good for us. That's the important part of all of it; the fishing. 👍✌️🎣
My first experience with big fish was red drum in the brackish water out by bees marina in Florida. My uncle thought I was snagged then my tiger Shakespeare rod just started singing mind you I was 10 years old. Fish was 18.5 inches I've been addicted to fishing ever since. I live in Michigan so the closest I get to anything in this nature is salmon fishing let me tell ya coho love to skip the top
"It's simple. Go fishin' when ya can because it's good fer ya." So true...so true!
steeltownbeatdown came looking for this comment lol
I go fishing when I can cause it saves peoples lives and it keeps me a free person

He does...it's right here. :)
Thank you for describing the what, why and how.
Your one of the few that does.
You whooped them again. Live watching your videos. I have fish all my life but have learnt a lot of tricks from you.
I would like to see you do some more bass fishing with old school artificial baits. It reminds me of fishing with my dad years ago. Great job Richard

This bring back memories of my Dad and I dragging spring lizards all over Lake Sidney Lanier. Back then they weren't plastic. Good times.
I'm convinced you can catch fish out of a bucket! Those were some tough conditions!

My confidence bait in skinny water. I know brush hogs or worms will work just as well, but that zoom lizard has just the right action.
You really just cannot beat a Texas rig

Richard gene do you guide trips?
I'd pay all expenses for a trip just so we could tell each other fish stories from the past and catch some fish. A wise man once said we should go fishing when we can because it's good for us. That's the important part of all of it; the fishing. 👍✌️🎣
Always look forward to the next fishing lesson from my fishing Coach. RGTFM .
I think I'm gonna have to go towards guntersville. Ditto landing has been closed for two weeks.
Killer vid some day I’m go fishing with Elmo and we’re gonna catch umm!!!
Mr Green do you ever fish for bulkheads? If so could you do a vedio and if not why?
Praying for your area, Richard -- hopefully tornadas left you and yours alone -- like I say, praying for those affected Alabama families, too.
Yes. Stump rows. Be careful when standing up in the boat. Carpe Diem.
My first experience with big fish was red drum in the brackish water out by bees marina in Florida. Hey you can always cut like 1 3rd of the power bait or the head off a craw fish they might prefer it
Richard dont change your humor for these new crybabies. Whoo,...whooo..,whoooo!!!.......ok😂😂😂
Richard where the crappie at that's good fishing love to see it. Lee Fisher go fishing when you can it's good for you
I hooked the biggest big mouth bass I've ever fought on a live bluegill while catfishing he got off at the dock
A great word for that water is 'turbid'.
