Each part I follow along with brings back so many memories to me about when I built my Victory years ago. I still have mine sitting in my living room and if I concentrate on any part it takes me back to the time and way that I built it that particular part. Things like this seem to be locked in your brain forever.
John builds Iconic Military Models. I did notice that you didn’t do your usual intro today. I personally enjoyed watching it but I don’t think it’s important. I like that you mix it up and it’s not the same all of the time.
Hi John. Only just found your channel, great description video of building the Victory. Wish I had found this earlier when I was building my billings boat Victory model it would have helped me considerable. I am now on the sails, hopefully finishing this year. Cheers Colin
To be honest John your intro to your videos gave your channel a more professional look but your videos are good without it. One observation though, you could probably do with a second camera showing a closer view of you at work and maybe edit between the two.
Any help i’m happy to give. I enjoy watching other peoples work and like to pick up tips from others. I’m also full of little tip as you probably well gathered. Just remember them small holes in the cockpit rails and the posts, makes it so much easier attaching the rigging. I’m learning like you my HMS Victory was only my 3rd wooden ship model. Think it’s good to share things we have learned thats what i find really good about your channel. I’ll probably think of more tips as your ship develops but taking nothing away from your model it looks Amazing.
John -- Only recently found your channel but have really been enjoying the level of detail you put into your work. If I may, I'd like to offer a small suggestion that may help your viewers. You seem to be a rather soft-spoken fellow. As a result, it sometimes sounds as if you are quietly talking to yourself as you describe what you are doing. Add to this your English accent and this "Yank" has a hard time following you. How about adding a clip-on shirt microphone to augment your overhead mike? Best regards from across the "Pond".
Hi Joseph. Thank you for your feedback, ye your right I’m very softly spoken. This video is from some time ago now. And hopefully Over the last few months I’ve improved the overall quilaty of my audio
@@Johnbuildsiconic For me John is really big advance, yes i am newbie. Hope soon i will have more time to watch your series from beginning. I just want to know where i should improve my skills :) Great Job :)
