Quite the dynamic duo, Michael and Quinn completely transformed their 1800’s “bellum” home into an entertainer’s paradise. Adorned in the enchanting style of a Swamp Palazzo, every corner exudes opulent charm, with a blend of modern fabrics and beautiful continental furniture. Among their many enchanting spaces, you'll find a magnificent library swathed in men's corduroy, and a music room adorned with gilded moldings, where the pair frequently host piano concerts. Quinn's needlepoint craftsmanship adds a personal touch to each room, complemented by stately artwork and neoclassical furnishings that reflect the couple's love for grandeur design. Enjoy!

I hate to leave a crude comment on this couple's beautiful home tour, but the humor of a gynecologist named Dr. Peeper cannot be lost 😂
He’s gay! No foul. Like a lesbian who’s a proctologist.
Got to give it to ya.
@@leashgang1His orientation only takes a tiny fraction of the immature humor I indulged in there, in my mind, away from the situation.
Dr. Peeper must have thought long and hard before embarking on that particular career whilst keeping his family name. He likely thought it was stupid + juvenile to give it any room whatsoever. I smiled.
Almost as much fun as Dr. Cherry (a former gynecologist of mine)…no kidding.
I didn’t dare say it, but was thinking it!😊…he has a beautiful home!
I’m not sure what I enjoyed more, the tour of their magnificent jewel-box of a home or meeting the two interesting gentlemen. What a treat!
Totally agree
These are intelligent men with deep and layered enthusiasms. Decor, collection, texture is what resulted, not an initial contrivance . When it's inside-out like this, there's always greater vitality and soulfulness. Many years of continued joy to them. Lovely, lovely place.
One of the most classy, extra ordinary, funny, entertaining, smart couples on homeworthy, that I have had the pleasure of meeting here on UA-cam. I did not want this session to end. What a great couple and the way they live it’s beautiful to see.
I could not agree more, lovely home, very personal, and Quinn is very talented and very funny. L
I did have to laugh when checked his husband as a reminder that since they were married, he was grand too.😮
I thought that was funny as well. What a beautiful home. And such wonderful gentlemen to share their home with us!
This was my favorite tour! I just loved these two wonderful gentleman! ❤
I agree with everybody's compliments. Roger Ebert said movies let people visit a different world. That's what this is. These guys have elevated their life not to be flashy but to respect and appreciate things they love and share them with others. What a sensible way to live.🙂🙂❤️💯👑
Swamp palazzo?!? Count me in. What an absolutely delightful home tour. Thank you, gentlemen. Honestly, I could sit and listen to you talk for hours. You are both so educated, interesting, adventurous, witty, skilled, accomplished, etc. I want to be one of the guests that you described, squeezed into your bar room soaking it all in. Thanks again!
I actually stopped the video and looked up "Swamp Palazzo". Can't wait to learn more! Yes...I, too, would love to be a dinner guest of theirs in their lovely home!
These two gentle men have done a fine job in filling the home up with treasures. I love this
Such a lovely couple, they are seamless together, their easy camaraderie and love for each other is present in their beautiful home. This was a great tour👏🏻♥️
Michael and Quinn are a charming couple, and their beautiful home is truly a reflection of their personalities which meld perfectly. Thank you for inviting us into your lives!
Distinguished gentlemen, beautiful people with a beautiful home and family
I do like the house but I love this couple. You can see their love and pride for and in each other. Very artistic partnership.
Agreed!
They r brothers?
I love when a homes decor has a story and shows the personally and passion of the home owners. I also love to see bookshelves filled with books that have been read, loved and treasured. I enjoyed this video very much and love the passion of the owners. Well done!
These two gentlemen are very intelligent and I could sit and listen to them talk all day. It amazes me how one can remember where the tiniest item came from. Thanks so much for sharing their home and story.
This home will go down as one of my Homeworthy favorites. Maximalism done in quintessential English style is my eye candy. They have excellent taste in art, books, furniture, textiles… what’s not to love!!! Though a bit formal for me, I absolutely love their taste in everything. Thank you for sharing your home and giving me new ideas and inspiration. ❤
This video was a treat, these two were very interesting, not to mention very cultured and elegant. I would love to be an invited guest to their home.
I agree with you! I lived in Alexandria, Louisiana the heart. Visited New Orleans I love it. Enjoy it..their all house, great food crawfish, gumbo..
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What two fascinating gentlemen! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
All I can say is thank you! I’m only 2 minutes in and know this is the perfect dessert to my dinner this evening. Absolutely stunning, unique home with such a fascinating couple as the cherry on top!
Love hearing about all the history. And Quinn’s needle points are amazing!! And the corduroy walls…perfection!
Yes, I loved the corduroy wall idea.
What a joy they are. Such a pleasure to have a tour of their home and descriptions of their treasures. "Swamp Palazzo", amazing.
God….that’s the most beautiful pinstriped summer suit I have ever seen❤️ that green pocket square!….what an incredibly beautiful and interesting home…thanks for blessing us with a tour…gentleman couples always have the very best houses😘
It's seersucker! although you usually see it in blue or pink. The green is a less common color.
At first I thought Quinn was a bit stuffy but then I realized he had a fun sense of humor. Great stories and how wonderful to get married at Blenheim ❤.
He joked about the gynecology book right away so I figured he would be delightful.
@@emakelley6807 not to mention the Hot Mess pillow!
This home just envelopes you. Its a whole mood. Beautiful!
I loved every second of this tour.I would love to be a guest at one of their dinner partys, even if the AC stopped working in August.I'll bring the jello mold. They have tons of class, but still have a sense of humor.
Very dapper distinguished gents with a lovely home. God bless all the maximalists of the world when the current trend seems to be going in the other direction.
58:30 actually the minimalist greige lovers are fading out. Not surprisingly as the style leaves little to get enthusiastic about.
while in the military i was a minimalist but once i retired i changed to painting every wall in my house and add art.
I loved that you told us about your
credentials and educational pursuits, very inspirational. Great role models. Beautiful home.
These two gentlemen are a hoot, two peas in a pod, they suit eachother.
I enjoyed watching them sitting at the piano and playing together. What a treat. So many facinating treasures. A lovely home. And the needlepoint is beautifully done. 👏👏
Thank you for allowing us into your home, Michael and Quinn. Today, I will sit back down at my piano that I have neglected for years. It is time…your love of beauty and music has turned the key for me! ❤
Wow - these are just fascinating and really accomplished guys - you never fail to find both great guests and homes!
Michael & Quinn! AMAZINGLY DELIGHTFUL.
EBAY ANCESTORS!! they have wonderful wit! Thank you for allowing us into your beautiful home!!
Alison, Michael and Quinn, you have presented us with another magnificent home! I was just in awe. Quinn and Michael are a gracious and fun couple. I loved how they kept saying that they loved their home and this and that in their home. I had a German teacher, from Germany, in high school over 50 years ago. She told us that we could not "love" inanimate objects, only people. I beg to differ because, like Michael and Quinn, I love my inanimate objects in my home too. You rock, gentlemen!
Love you guys!! Thank you for sharing your sumptuous, gorgeous home with all of us!! Both of you are good storytellers and it is much appreciated!!
A handsome couple with exquisite charm and taste.
Honestly this warms the heart greatly.
Absolutely magnificent home, but on top of that see such beautifully dressed gentleman& such finesse , so happy to see this alive & thriving.
Thank you guys 👍👏👏👏
This was a really great tour. These gentlemen are so inspiring. Their lifestyle is really gracious. I hope that they have many more healthy, happy, productive. years ahead in their home and community.
I keep having to freeze this, and go do a deep research dive here or there...there is SO much said in passing that tugs hard at my interest and attention! Plus, the Piano Playing, and the Needlepoint, bringing to mind very fondly a favorite fictional character whom I shall not name but who is very dear to me. And just SO much eye candy, and What?! Stop! I have those hollow-stemmed glasses...of course I do....and all the stories; THANK YOU; Thank you Homeworthy, Thank You Homeowners! This is a wonderful immersive visit! ❤❤❤
Such a beautiful home with some beautiful objects! I always find it a bit cheesy when people have so much royalty-related stuff...but if it floats their boat that is all that matters! (Also the portrait of the lady is not a Restoration portrait - rather an 18th century portrait in the style of Hudson in which she is wearing "Van Dyck" costume.)
Thank you for choosing warm and personable people to showcase their home. Lovely.
"It's about creating a world for yourself." So grateful to hear those utterly poignant and truthful words from Chopin. I agree wholeheartedly. It felt marvelous peeking into the world of sophisticated elegance that these gentlemen have cultivated. 🖤
What a pleasure. I love the home, and I loved these two intelligent, smart, young men. It’s a pleasure to hear their stories, and to hear their beautiful piano playing and the stories they have and the people they have met that have been in their home…thank you for sharing with us… again…It was such a delight.❤🙏🏼👍🏼ps I just ordered their book.
What a wonderful treat this tour was. Beautiful home, full of treasures, and two very charming gentlemen
When I was young, I was terrified of “fancy” dinner parties. Now that I’ve segued from my Salad days to my Cheese days I miss them more than I can say... I need a better class of friends!! 👋😂
Stunning!! Thank you so much to the hosts for showing us their beautiful home. I love New Orleans. The collections are just amazing. I was hoping this video would last another hour.
Joy through my hands. What a lovely way to describe a life.
I am in love with these two and their home. If only we were closer on the map, we would exchange dinner parties at least once a month. Pure delight on every level and note. Cheers from Dean and Jonathan in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York.
🍄
An ABSOLUTELY grand experience! I love the atmosphere of your home. It's very calm, elegant, and soothing. I picture myself in such an environment... Thank you for sharing!
I adore New Orleans and get there as often as we can. Now to see inside one of the beautiful homes there is just so exciting. Icing on the cake is that Quinn and Michael are as delightful as possible. Such beautiful collections! The needlepoint is hard to imagine so Quinn must be a wonderful surgeon. Lucky ladies in NOLA who are his patients. Thank you so much, everyone for making this happen for us to share. Love these gentlemen!
WHAT A GREAT PLEASURE TO WATCH, AND TO DREAM, IN THESE FELLA’S BEAUTIFUL WORLD IN NEW ORLEANS…. 5 GOLD STARS TO BE SURE!
Great home tour! The couple are true renaissance men. A surgeon who does beautiful needlework is so inspiring to me. Loved the piano performance. Many people who own a piano today cannot even play. They use and enjoy their things. I noticed one tv and that was in the kitchen. They entertain, travel and live very interesting lives. I gotta say my favorite thing is the God Save the Queen pillow! Loved this tour and didn’t want it to end.
I so enjoyed everything about this video...the location (N. O), the history, the beautiful artwork, the furniture and curiosities, the needlepoint and the homes interior design, Michael and Dr. Quinn's themselves and their stories, the music and everything that represented music including the piano duet, and last but certainly not least since I am a lifelong gardener, the beautiful Palm Garden! Love!!!!!
Yes, what's most impressive to me is their relationship. They are very nice to each other and respectful toward one another-very refreshing to see in a married couple! Both are beautifully educated and I admire their taste.
Michael loves Quinn very, very much and was such a sweetheart to point out all the brilliant needlepoint pillows. He never once touted his own trumpet, a sign of a true gentleman. The house is exquisite but perhaps a tiny bit overdone with Quinn’s coat of arms displayed everywhere. I understand they are both Anglophiles which is fine but the coat of arms does not include Michael, neither does the monogram on the napkins. Quinn’s presence is felt everywhere, I forgot how many times he ‘mentioned’ he’d studied at Oxford. You can’t blame a man for being proud, but a little modesty goes a lot further than constant reminders when one wants to pay someone a compliment, the mouth, by then has soured somewhat. By all means he has achieved a great deal, kudos to him for that though I do wonder what the conversation at the dinner table is all about? Hopefully Michael will get a word in, (he didn’t let Michael read the menu when we were supposedly looking at the kitchen) I believe M was preparing the meal or so we were led to believe.
We didn’t get to see Michael’s room and no explanation was given, I’m sure it was simple enough. Homeworthy, you did a wonderful job as always, thank you for showing us a magnificent home, I have needlepoint pillow envy now.
I enjoyed it but was eyerolling at the pretentious mentions of the Blind Earl which he only seems to collect because of the 'relation' to his own name...which he hates obviously because it isn't very grand. I'm not sure how the present heraldic rules are for lgbt marriages, I looked once but don't recall but I agree, its all about Mr. Quinn here...
Just beautiful in every way possible. Love New Orleans, i often say it's my second home. Interesting city and interesting people. Perfect combination. Thanks for sharing.
What a gorgeous, elegant home, love all of the antiques and the homeowners.
For non-professional decorators, you guys did a great job! Lovely curated home!
People that have good taste (AKA as common sense and a good sense of balance and proportion), don't need professional decorators. I'll never pay anyone to decorate my house, some of us don't need to. It's one of those professions that doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
@@selmahare I disagree because I truly believe some of them are very good at what they do and they are experts at pulling it all together. Not everyone has that skill or the time to do all that they do. As for me, I enjoy decorating and I'm sorry I didn't make it my profession.
Aren't they totally fun! Just a treat.
I thoroughly enjoyed the video of your home. But I think I enjoyed even more the stories behind everything. What amazing, talented gentlemen you both are!
Such dapper gentleman in a beautiful home, with special things in a city with such rich history…what else could you wish for!?❤
Really enjoyed this. Two very interesting men. I bet their book is wonderful. thank you for sharing!
From the start of the understated, elegant entrance hall, I thought there is something Churchillian about the genius and creative flair of these two brilliant gentlemen. How funny to then learn they are friends of Lady Henrietta and were married at Blenheim! They seem to perfectly blend British classic with French charm in a way so unique to them, their interests and great gifts. What a joy to visit their fascinating and stunning home in which I hope they have every continued success and happiness. Thank you, Homeworthy for, once again, hitting it out of the park!
one of my absolute favorite episodes. well done.
Absolutely beautiful and sublime. These 2 men are articulate and passionate about their collecting and have the most exquisite taste. It’s wonderful for me as a Brit to see how closely they identify with Britain! What a privilege to be invited to dinner! And what fabulous guys. It’s lovely to witness how their partnership gives and takes.
I am two thirds through this UA-cam video and I felt compelled to click pause and take a moment to share a comment... it is soooo refreshing and inspiring, to see two genuine guys that are so at ease with each other and so passionate about their lush home and proud of the fascinating objects they have collected over the years. I have paused this video at the dining room while writing this and I gotta say, I think your dining room is a triumph... not sure what I love more, the elegant choice for the wall color or the decadent dinner service you commissioned. (Thank-you for sharing, cheers guys.)
What a wonderful visit! Home worthy never disappoints me.
🎶👑On My! I was absolutely enchanted by the virtual tour of your home. The blend of meaningful and whimsical treasures throughout your space is nothing short of inspirational. It's as though your home tells a story that I could listen to for hours.
I eagerly await the arrival of your book, 'Classical Shindig,' which, from the glimpse we've had in the video, promises to be a delightful journey into your world. I'll raise my glass to you in spirit as I indulge in the pages of your book, savoring the same kind of charm and sophistication that your home exudes.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful space and story with us. It's a true feast for the soul, and I look forward enjoying more of your home through your book.👑
I just loved the tour….I wish that Michael could talk more…his voice is gorgeous….THANK YOU FOR THE CONCERT… I would love to be your neighbor…hugs from Columbus Georgia….where it is just too hot too
What a fun and interesting couple. Thank you💜
So love these two handsome fellows ! Their home is a dream ! I was born and raised in the south with antiques up to the rafters at both sets of grandparents homes and my parents home we grew up in.I have inherited many beautiful things and i cherish them.New Orleans is my favorite place on earth. So much history, and forget about the food ! Loved the longer video, sometimes they are too short.
Sumptuous, tasteful and homely. Luved these two men - how in tune are they together - their dinner parties would be off the scale - fun and fabulous entertaining 👏
A big house built during the civil war, decorated to perfection AND in New Orleans??? To die for!!! ❤🤍💙
Love this house! Two amazing men!
Oh, I just love these two. So dapper, great sense of humor and such a lovely New Orleans home. Thank you!
Buy their book! It is FANTASTIC! Inspiration on every single page.
“Actually I’m insulted you think these are the only books I’ve ever read!” I feel so seen!!
Love smart and interesting people. Very interesting episode. Just loved everything. Great job.
Very down to earth and classy. Hard to be both.
Beautiful home in every way possible.
I love the guys even more than their beautiful home ! Some good laughs and fascinating stories from two very educated, sophisticated gentlemen, with great charm and humility, not to mention world-class taste in decor ! I love the door pull, ( in Latin ) " What Fresh Hell is This? " My sentiments, exactly ! LOL !
Very Impressive...The University of the South at Sewanee. It is then when you garnered my full and undivided attention. Your home is a brilliant masterpiece belonging to two very interesting and talented gentlemen.Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee.
These people inhabiting the space bring even more interest and depth to their surroundings by sharing the history or sentiment attached to all of their beautiful possessions
Two extremely impressive gentlemen. I feel happier knowing people like this who have this sort of zest to be creative in so many ways.
Beautifully documented ! Such a Pleasure seeing a couple who have created an Elegant home with taste.
I just loved this video! The colors used in Dr. Quinn's needlepoint and room decoration are splendid and rich feeling. What a joy to see how this couple have used their talents to enhance their lives and also share with others.
I studied Latin for 7 years and the meaning of "Qualis Avernus Novus Hic Est?" is "what kind of new adversary is here?". In other words, what new enemy is at my door? "What fresh hell is this?" would be "Qualis infernus recens est?"
These guys are so cultured and gracious hosts. Thank you for sharing your home.
I’ve watched this so many times. I adore this home and love the couple. 🥰
Such lovely people!!!!! LOVE the dining room!! Wow!!
Talk about gilding the lily! These old girls have really "done it up".
Too good to be real.
I stopped the moment i heard New Orleans, I lived there and I moved out the day Katrina hit and I never returned. I really enjoyed this tour. What a beautiful space these two have created. Loved the talents of the doctor and the calmness and support from the lawyer. What a great pair.
Well that is what you want in a doctor and lawyer come to think of it....
Beautiful home. I live in NOLA. Where did you move to, if I may ask?
Your home tour is one of my favorite Homeworthy tours. I love the care and pride you shared with us. Your table setting, mainly the various silver pieces were so perfectly polished. Please share how you polish and store your beautiful silver pieces. Apparently you are experts, and I need your advice. Thanks for sharing with us.
Gosh, what a breath of fresh air. Bet they know who Proust, Pushkin, and Tolstoy were, Renaissance men! New Orleans is the last bastion of culture in North America. I once had an acquaintance from Arizona who asked , "Why do Southerners monogram their possessions?" To which I replied, " To get them back from carpetbaggers like you."
No, but really he thought that monograms and engravings were pretentious.
"Apres moi, le deluge."
@elizatbethperry3458 I love monograms too!
Living hard, working hard, playing hard with a sense of humor. Hurricane potluck has to be a survival taste adventure. Continued blessings, health, happiness and success
Love them, love their beautiful home, love their style. They are living the life I've always dreamed of....a historic home in New Orleans, friends with the wonderful Julie Reed (RIP), and furniture by Jane. So much talent and beauty in one life!
Everything in this house is so chic, including the guys. 😎🙂
Michael is a patient, compliant and amiable partner.
Wow. What a house. I love it all. Two wonderful amazingly talented gentlemen. The house is impressive and so are the people who live within. Thank you all for this charming visit. 😊💜
These two need to have their own show!
True gentlemen. I enjoyed this house tour very much. I am in awe of the brilliant decor and the talented witty owners. Thank you
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.
Loved this beautiful home! Very thoughtfully put together. Quinn and Michael did a wonderful job hosting this tour! Thank you.
