Hi there, I’m Yvonne. I really enjoyed your recipe and plan to make it exactly as you showed it. My favorite Mexican food will be these tamales but for now it’s the humble bean burrito. Thanks for a great video. Really enjoyed it.
Thank you so much, my mom was diagnosed with cancer recently and she still have all the Mexican cravings, but of course she can’t have any oil or any greasy foods at all and you just made me smile because it is still possible to make Mexican foods oil free.. thank you 😊 I’m making them this weekend
It's only certain types of oils that cause inflammation. Just use good cold pressed olive or coconut etc, or grass fed /finished tallow or for supplementation a good cod liver oil. Avocados are good fat also. Oil/fat is essential for human health, cancer or not.
I have been missing tamales since going vegan and leaving out as much oil as I can stand, lol. I’m so anxious to try this recipe. I didn’t know it could be made without the shortening. Thanks so much. 👍😃
Thank you! Just took a class to learn to make tamales, and I like the way you make them. I'm vegan too. I'd love to see a vegan champurrado recipe, please.
These look really good. I might use your recipe for the masa. I always loved carne con chile (or carne en su jugo?) but haven't found a good recipe for it yet.
La masa parece para tortillas, le falta caldo, deberia ser mas suave y esponjosa, lo comento porque una masa para tamales no se puede hacer con maquina para tortillas creo que te quedaron secos☹️
Couldn’t watch the entirety of this video. Maybe you saved some calories, but those cubes you used for flavor have 800mg of sodium per half a cube. This isn’t a jab or at least I don’t mean it to be; excess sodium freaks me out.
They look really dry 😢 I rather eat tamales with oil, once a year it’s not gonna kill me, I eat healthy all year anyway 🤷🏻♀️ it’s good and healthy to indulge sometimes.
Thank you for your generous video. I follow a WFPB no oil lifestyle. So excited to make these!
Wow. Thanks for the use of the Tortilla press. Great idea. Gracias
Oh you know it!
Genius !!

Vegetarian mole in the tamales is best. You'll never use chile sauce again.
It seems like a good recipe but the measurements 🤦♀️
You are a very beautiful young woman, stay vegan and help save all the beautiful animals and are home mother earth 🌎.
