I've never ridden a bike down a mountain, and I doubt I'll start soon. But i sure enjoyed watching your video. It's amazing how quickly you have to make decisions and how much you have to trust your equipment. Very cool.
I only started riding ~20 months ago, aged 46. Thredbo have excellent learn to ride courses at varying levels. I did a beginner one Xmas '20, and a more advanced one Xmas '21 that included chairlifts and flow trails. Really helped me improve and I ride Richochet (way slower!) the next day. Highly recommend it, huge fun!
