I think its calculating the fatal fit, rotos passive registers that amd stacks the extra turn, but relic still procing reducing dmg to 0 before rotos takes his extra turn.
9:08 - there was a proc for the extra turn. I feel like the damage reduction of the relic is calculated before his passive, but then occurs after his passive. As though the relic calculates 100k damage needs to be reduced from a 200k attack, then his passive says the damage is only 25k (50% of a ~50k health Rotos), and then the relic takes 100k damage off of that 25k damage, meaning he takes no damage.
Rotos's passive has been broken since blessings came out with Ward of the Fallen. There's something wrong with the order of damage reduction being applied. His passive is applying before all of the other damage reductions from blessings and relics, so he takes no damage. In your video he's getting the extra turn from the passive even though he isn't taking any damage and has no turn meter. How it currently works: Passive cuts damage in half > that damage is reduced by ward of the fallen another 60% > the relic reduces that again. Rotos takes barely any damage, but his passive still procs because it was calculated first. Example: 100K hit > passive reduces it to 50K > Blessing reduces it to 20K > Relic with 80% TM reduces it to 4k > 4k damage is applied against def (60% mitigation) to result in 1.6k damage taken. Rotos is granted an extra turn. How (I feel) it should work: Blessing reduces damage > Relic Reduces damage > Passive reduces damage. If at that point the passive reduces the damage to 50%, then it triggers the extra turn. Example: 100k hit > blessing reduces it to 40k > Relic with 80% TM reduces it to 8k > passive doesn't proc because it's only 8k hit > 8k hit is applied against def (60% mitigation) to result in 3.2k damage taken. Rotos is not granted an extra turn. Being able to stack multiple percentage based damage mitigations "behind" the passive is what is broken, not the relic itself. They don't need to change the relic, they just need to change when Rotos's passive is applied.

The problem is the opposite. The passive is always being applied first, and then the blessing and relic are being applied. That's why he takes no damage and gets an extra turn. If the passive was applied last, he would still take minimal damage, but he wouldn't be getting the extra turn.
Great job explaining rotos for the new frustrating arena challenges. Will we be able to know in advance if rotos have what we fear they might have? Or is it a surprise?
i like to know how interact that relic wich give 2 turn in battel but u skip the next turn on some one who have extra turn on his skill like rotos ... like when he a3 kill some one is extra turn proc from relic frist or his skill or it will happend after his a2 then he can a3 agin . or some one like gnishak.(if u could tell me here i would be happy too ) thanks for fun video
Honestly I hope it doesnt get fixed/nerfed. Rotos already gets completely neutered by a champ that 90% of the playerbase has, is extremely easy to build and requires 0 IQ to use.
This is so OP!!! … but only for already OP champions that are mythical/void/rare(like Rotos)!!! Don’t forget this won’t get nerfed unless there’s a fusion/somewhat f2p champion that becomes OP because of this!!
Copying from my comment elsewhere. Not sure you can socket 2 of the same gems, if not, then the damage is reduced, but still a sick combo, maybe. Maybe test this out? (Seeing a combo here. Gorecrescent.(next attack deals 20% dam) On Thor. with 2 triangle gemstone +20% to stunned, and 2 foekillers gems, 5% dam for full hp. Greggor and 3 barbs. Odin goes, strips buffs, puts dec def, and stun. Next, thor smacks with a3. +75% damage to all, cause of relics and greggors faction skills. should be dead. if not, greggor next, gives thor instant attack, a2 +40% damage hit, need one more barb in team just to get instant turn skill from greggor. Best case is greggor again. give thor another hit. 2 hit a single target, then aoe passive and another stun.)
While I kind-of like the update, I can't help feeling that the scissors between paying/lucky players and anyone without the top 30% champs (laughs in my 5 copies of fucking LUGAN THE STEADFAST) are opening wider and wider, and the endgame + arena are getting worse in that regard.
put rotos on 9 piece merciless and it will be even crazier lol. Relics will be an absolute clownfiesta and probably make me completely stop playing live arena
Yep paylarium never test its shyt! Its should be fixed nerfed changed asap before coming out ingame. The gap between f2p/low spenders and whales will be light years! Some of those relics will be overpowered just by reading what they can do.🤦♂
