    Thank you for the video, can this be done by users which don't have salesforce license? In our case my company is considering to implement salesforce, but not to customer service team. Can customer service use their MS Office 365 Power Automate to modify customer records/tasks etc without having a Salesforce license? (Flows triggering from e-mail links or Flow buttons etc).
    Thank you

      Hi @calendil, you would need to have user access to Salesforce in order to connect to Salesforce connector in Power Automate, as it requires signing into Salesforce. Perhaps your team could create a department account for Power Automate, and give that department user access to Salesforce. Your company might be more keen to do this, as this would require giving Power Automate premium access to only one user (the dept account) and then user access for Salesforce (which can otherwise be very expensive per user) to just the dept account. Hope this helps!

    Hey! Love this video. Could you show us a way of how to automate the export of a Salesforce report as a CSV and put it into an email/SharePoint?

    • @jibbsautomations
      @jibbsautomations  Рік тому +1

      Yes, that should be possible by setting the report on a schedule in Salesforce and the power automate trigger is when email received. I will try to get a video on this soon.

      @@jibbsautomations Thanks so much for your response. Sometimes the report is too large, so you get an email saying "results too large", and it gives you a link to click which then takes you to the report page for you to download. So in essence, you have to connect directly to Salesforce from PowerAutomate and do it that way
      I've been able to connect to the report with "get record" and using report ID, but it just returns JSON data about the report rather than the report itself.

    This actually is wrong, for Salesforce, when we update record, we do not need to provide all required fields, we should only be required to provide id and the field that has changed. This connector implementation is wrong

      It may be that our instance of Salesforce requires the last name, as the last name field is indicated by the red asterix as seen in the video, and is therefore required or the flow won't run. I probably should have mentioned in the video simply that if you see any required fields, you need to add a value, or the flow will fail. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

      @@jibbsautomations Your video is correct. The Update record salesforce functionality is not properly implemented at the connector level. Update functionality should not require to provide all required fields as it does. The update functionality should only require a record key and any fields you wish to change.

      @@michalluber2635 Thanks, I thought I was losing it for a minute. I have to "get the record" just to pull the Last Name so I can pass it back in.
