I had no idea the story was so short so I spent a lot of time leveling up and upgrading and buying new cars. By the time i would start doing the missions I'd be way too fast for the others.
I went 100% blind playing through this game after a very long NFS break, and NFSMW is my favourite in the franchise. The minute I saw Mercer speeding away with this absolutely divine vehicle I was simply fucking stunned and couldn't believe my eyes.

Well, to me the most hype mission in NFS history was "unscripted chase number [something between 15 and 20, probably]" in Most Wanted 2005, in which I was heat level 5, iirc, in a Golf GTI, and it took me almost 50 minutes, but I did manage to outrun the cops. It wasn't anything having to do with the career, I just was found by the cops during a race, and I wanted to get rid of them in order to save my win on the race (you can't save or return to your garage during chases), but holy shit, I remember that chase in details, they almost had me like 10 times or so. It was during a summer night, and I was literally sweating and physically tired once it was over. Man, I swear to god, I don't really know what it is, but those games had something that newer games just don't have. Most Wanted 2005 made you FEAR encountering the cops. It was a real struggle getting rid of them.

Some real fun gameplay moments in this one. Chases are great. Overall, though, I think of this title as lackluster. Story was brpppp flat. The easy ending relies on nostalgia of the BMW in a chase sequence that doesn't nearly top the mad cap action of the orginal game that car was in.

I bet he wants revenge... And Torres the new ruthless chief of the High-Speed Task Force. So many things for a sequel.
