Just playing it safe maybe? I know in the USA cops will send in underage kids to try and buy smokes/alcohol just to test if the employees are verifying ID's and if they don't they'll get hit with a hefty fine. Not sure if they do that in Sweden or not though.

as an indo, when ur over 170 cm (even as an adult) youre considered tall. most adults here are around 160ish but theres still some who are around 150 cm or even 140 cm

So both countries are on seperate extreme ends of the average height of humans.

In Sweden, if you are under 170 you are considered short. Tall here is like 210+. 180 I think is the average for adult males and 165 for women. Heck I had a teacher who was 230.

Incredible as it may seem , I look like a 15 or 13 year old girl , but I am actually 23 , many are shocked and surprised to learn my age , most girls here on Brazil (my country) are tall but they are much younger than me at the most they are 13 or 14 and looking much older than that because of the height and physique of an adult 😅 (I identify with Ike in this matter of looking young but in fact he is much more "experienced" great clip!!! 🥰)

So true! I’m 22, but i look 15-16 without make up on, bc i’m hella short for my country where an average 13 year old teenage girl is like 170+ cm tall, and here am i, 156 cm of pure disappointment. You have to be 18+ to purchase energy drinks here, so i have to bring my ID with me all the time. And even when i show it, convince store workers usually look at me with that “is it really you?” face, bc i look nothing like my ID photo. I lost a lot of weight last year (now i look even younger LMAO), i have a different hair colour and usually i’m too lazy to do my make up before going to the store, i understand that i really look like i stole my elder sister’s ID or something and it’s both funny and annoying 😂

Yeah, I have the same problem with being small (152 cm) and not looking like me on my ID (in my country IDs have quite a long validity time even if you are a kid). No wonder I look different than the photo - it was taken when I was 10 and I'm 18 now (I have a different hair color, my hair is way shorter and the fact I have vitiligo doesn't help bc even my skin color doesn't 100% match

I'm tall, 21 and don't buy alcohol/energy drinks. HOWEVER, just last summer I went to a natural park that required you to buy a ticket. Teenagers under 16 only paid a half ticket. I was days away from turning 21, the man at the booth took one glance at me and charged me a half ticket. I mean I saved money, so that's great! But it wasn't an isolated instance. Just the other day a distant relative looked me dead in the eye and went "You are so grown up! What are you? 15?". I died a little on the inside.

At my place, anyone above 160 is already considered tall. The average height here is around 140-160 & that's mostly adults. If any of us happens to walk behind bushes or street barriers, John Cena's theme just automatically plays. We're *gone*, hidden just like that.

you can buy energy drinks regardless of age,it was never a taboo or anything like that. For example,at my school I often see people younger than me taking energy drinks,I think it's more a matter of culture in reality,some countries are more conservative? with minors.

Okay, so first, let me be clear; I am in my TWENTIES.... and the thing is girls in France love to go full-on E-girl with the makeup, that or they put A LOT of makeup, and fake lashes and whatnot. And, you see, I don't often put eyeliner. I just put mascara very very little blush and some golden and red eye shadow.... and the thing is, I have baby cheeks... and even teens these days. And there's also my anxiety and the fact that I like to go outside with my mother because I still live with my parents. And so, on MAAAAAny occasions, I got asked my age and then told I LOOK 14-15! I also always need my ID when going to be alcohol... and also asked which middle school I go to... which gave me Seitokai no Yakuindomo flashbacks... but also triggered the crap out of me.

To be fair, it might be because of your height and how you look. When I went to the eye doctor; Yes I wear glasses because I can’t see, but when I went to the eye doctor with my mom, the lady asked me if I was driving already, and get this, I’m not even old enough yet to drive, and I’m only 14, the lady thought I was old enough and I don’t even know my own height, I’m about somewhere in between 5’7 or 5’8, I think. But sorry to hear about that and I feel like almost everyone is mistaken for their age nowadays.

Lol je sais que ça fait ça fait trois mois mais j'ai un problème encore plus compliqué, j'ai 14 ans et je fais 1 mètre 84, je suis genre 2 tête plus grand que ma mère et un peut plus que mon grand frère (qui a 4 ans de plus que moi) mais comme toi j'ai aussi des grosses joues de bébé ce qui fait souvent hésiter les gens quand il essaient d'estimer mon âge, je sais même pas si il y a un âge minimum pour acheter des boissons énergisantes en France.

Mais l’hésitation est bienveillante en même temps , peut-être qu’ils se baseront sur les joues de bébé (tqt j’ai ça aussi même à 22 ans) pour estimer un peu plus correctement ton âge.
Concernant les boissons énergisantes, en France c’est recommandé d’avoir au moins 16 ans. J’avais demandé à mon médecin et c’était plus concernant des problèmes de santé mais le cœur peut-être mis à risque un peu plus tôt donc c’est recommandé d’avoir terminé son adolescence/être adulte pour ça. Mais comme beaucoup se mettent au sport assez tôt, elle avait dit que si c’est nécessaire on peu utiliser des boissons énergisantes mais à partir de 16 ans.
