I am a dual-national, born in England, and am Israeli. I could see the 'writing was on the wall' in England when in around 2014 during the protests then, I was walking around in Kensington, near the Israeli embassy, and there happened to be an angry mob yelling and screaming at the embassy building. I am visibly Jewish (I wear a kippa, etc). The police had cordoned off the road and anyone who wasn't part of the demo, me included, was told they had to go a different way and couldn't pass. When this was said to me by a police officer, I replied, "I'm not part of any protest, it's your job to keep me safe, I want to walk up the street to the station so I can go home. Arrest those who are making it unsafe for me to walk!". They told me they couldn't guarantee my safety, there were too many of them, and therefore I had to do what they said and walk an extremely circuitous route to the station or they would not let me pass. It's got a lot worse since then, but as a qualified lawyer, I was pretty shocked to see the sad excuse for police policy that was evident on the streets that day.
Exactly. Problem solved in 5 min but I am not sure he could have crossed the street so easily... For sure he would have been assaulted by the mob (clearly jew haters...)
The police officer didn’t say, “As you are Jewish I am concerned about your safety and I would prefer you not to walk too close to this crowd as I fear they may attack you and I don’t think there are enough officers here to keep the mob off you…” That might have been less unreasonable- instead they blamed the potential victim.
Exactly. The shortcomings in the behavior of the Metropolitan Police can be attributed to years of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) training, which may have inadvertently caused officers to hesitate in enforcing the law against Islamist extremism due to concerns about being labeled as racist or islamophobe
They are owned privately and are open for business, all the money they make gose over 🌊 sea.look it up and you'll understand why they say policing is done by consent.?
Could you imagine a National Front march taking place and a black man trying to cross the road and being told by a police officer blocking his way "you are obviously black and I don't want to antagonise there people!"
Two tier policing. But why are these marches being allowed week after week. OK the right to protest but what about the wider publics right to have the police solving crimes instead of policing demonstrations.
Muslims in democratic countries around the world need to leave and retturn to their countries of origin or stop their anti- democratic, anti- Jewish, anti- Christian and anti- Western ways before the anti- Muslim demonsteations and actions get fully underway and this is starting now as a fully justifiable response to Islamic actions. The violence of the Iranian Hamas-led Palestinian movement has done noone any favours, least of all the Palestinians.
Absolutely diabolical!! If it had have been someone from the opposition it would have no doubt resulted in immediate dismissal. And yes the hate shown from these demonstrators with little to no consequences is outrageous!!
I disagree. It is both. It was his duty, and his colleagues present to protect this man and to allow him safe passage to his home, even if it meant escorting him. There was a clear threat of violence towards this man and so that demonstration should have warranted the request for either more police support to break it up or a request for a presence from the armed forces to ensure that peace was maintained or to break it up and make the relevant arrests. Sunak needs to get his act together to ensure the protection of British citizens against these mobs.
The Officer did say, " That he would happily escort him". However, in a moment. Now that I have watched it a couple of times. Yes it is extremely clumsy language. Bordering on offensive. The apology is disgusting. I stand with Israel.

If the Metropolitan Police don't know how to police these protests...Don't allow these protests to happen. Simples!!
WTF is happening to our police? Disgusting.
Better still......
What has happened to our Government they may as well all be wearing the ⭐ of David on their nice suits !!

Hear hear
Why hasn’t the officer who made the threat of arrest been suspended and facing the sack ?
The police are
"Only following orders"
Where did we hear that before?
Is this the guy that had Stephen Lennon arrested and pepper sprayed while he was eating breakfast. Karma
So, the Jewish man's presence was provocative but not the pro Hamas supporters?
spot on
How are the prop Hamas you old bag
Ur pussy was provocative😂😂😂
The PEOPLE OF LONDON must make it clear to the Kahnt that they will not accept one sided behaviour from the police.
This bloke was the person who asked the police to remove Tommy R from a pro Israeli March because it made him anxious. Karma. Sadly Tommy was wrongfully arrested, and pepper sprayed and is appearing in court today for a none crime.
As a Christian I find this situation totally ridiculous the way My Jewish Friend is treated. The Met police know that Khan is watching and will move against them if they come down on any side other than the side of His Brethren.
So the disastrous metropolitan police say that being Jewish is provocative
It’s not usually.
But to get amongst a crowd of Palestinians, in these heated times, may not of been very ‘healthy’ for the fella!
Then stop the demonstration and force people in it to break up and go home.
@@heatherhinde6544👍👏👏👏👏👏❤️🤍💙
@@pops6638- Are you suggesting the protests are not “peaceful”? I’m shocked….
@@pops6638 They're completely indulged, a cult.
As an ex police officer I could not believe what the officer was saying. It’s as if he has no idea what the law is. Even worse he is a Sergeant.
The law is very clear, the person who is likely to “Cause” a breach of the peace can be arrested not the person who is likely to be harmed by the breach.
This man was totaly within his right to cross the road and if anything the police had a duty to see that he crossed the road safely, not stop him and threatened him with arrest!
He was within in rights.
But if he got the sh*t kicked out of him, on his way across.
The police would be held responsible, for not protecting him.
I’m sure the copper, during his day had carried out many dynamic risk assessments.
Correct - all they had to do was escort him.
@@pops6638 yes. However, I think the point is, if these protests are that “risky”, they are not peaceful and should be stopped. They have lost control and instead of admitting it, are now policing the people who are threatened instead of the threats.
@@lisa34478I, like you, and many others, wish these marches were stopped.

Because we all know Islamists are not peaceful. MI5 have a watch list of 20,000 Islamists.

What about the protesters being openly muslim
Yep, a pro palestine marcher threatening a Jewish man right under the nose of the cop and not a word said to him ! I find that offensive
Ah,no,that’s ok.
Yes why not bring Muslims into this because....reasons !!
What a sick mentality you people have !!
the problem is police officers do not intimidate any palestinian protesters, they let them get away with all the nosense
The Police have one and only role, to uphold the law. A man wanting to cross the street should expect the protection of the Police.
I believe the policeman, did protect the Jewish fella.
What odds would you give, to a Jewish person safely walking through a Palestinian March, and coming out unscathed?
@@pops6638 There were Jewish people on that march, so I'd give them '100%'. Falter was looking for trouble.
@@pops6638That's exactly the point ! And exactly why these pro hamas marches should be banned. Christians, Jews and ordinary citizens of Britain should be able to walk freely without threats of violence !
So do we ban the marching season in NI? Do we ban football matches?
Your argument is flawed. This man was intent on causing a reaction. The police did their job by preventing a breach of the peace within the confines of the law.
If he walked through that crowd to provoke a reaction and achieved his goal the following would happen:
1. He would get a shoeing
2. Some unfortunate sod would have to go into the crowd to rescue the idiot that went in there to get said reaction, risking his/her safety and that of those in the crowd
3. It would create even more division and upset between the two factions and potentially escalate in to a full scale riot
4. You would all race to your keyboards to shout about how you could do it better and police should have stopped the idiot from getting hurt.
5. The spineless PM would come out and say he is ‘appalled’ by the police
6. The weasel mayor would immediately start calling for heads because he’s lost his own weasel head. 🤷🏻♂️
But please. If you feel you can do it better, chuck a stab vest on and get yourself in the mix! You could be the saviour that London has been screaming out for!
Mob rule with Police protection.
That Sergeant needs to retire - and I’m a retired Sergeant but, not from the Met.
Second question - why weird abuse , hate speeches from pro-palestin side never ever were shorted by Met police >>> Double standards ???? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !
Should ANYONE be arrested for their own safety while walking past a "peaceful" protest ??🤔🤔

Taking action against him personally is burying the problem
But it's ok when Tommy Robinson gets arrested for having breakfast.
Apparently it was Gideon Falter who made the complaint to the Met Police against Tommy Robinson attending the march for Israel..
Hold up the protest for 30 seconds to let people cross the road.
And who are the people again? Anarchist and agrevation’ist

@@bbggh4386 oh let me guess a pro P or a jew hater (usually they are both) For sure you are for calling a jew the provoker. Don't even try to deny it.
Who trained the police officers? Islamist academics funded by Qatar??
Yes. They have Islamist ‘advisors’ and go on brainwashing courses in DEI.
Probably. See the College of Policing for details.

Hard to know at what point the Met became the UK branch of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
If the police concentrated on their real job (i.e., preventing crime) this embarrassing anti-semitic debacle would not have happened.
One man is considered provocative, not thousands? Questions need to be asked. It's irrelevant if he thinks he's Jewish.

Yes they would have arrested all the protestors for being racist. Two tier policing

Why don’t the police do what they are supposed to: protect someone if they are attacked.
Absolutely diabolical!! If it had have been someone from the opposition it would have no doubt resulted in immediate dismissal. And yes the hate shown from these demonstrators with little to no consequences is outrageous!!
The officer is not the issue, it's civil liberty that's at risk.
I disagree.
