    I initially started with a rather high eDPI and now ended up lowering it to 640 eDPI (.4 ingame x 1600 DPI) and this is where my sweetspot is. Now at around 3k hours in CS in the past 2.5 years of which i've been playing the past 1k hours with that sense. Been able to get my Leetify Aim Rating to 92 - 95 consitently and I think this proves what you've said 100% right. Good video

    Used to play 568 edpi but now i play on 960 because i switched from claw to fingertip grip. My aim was already very good but i learned to get better control over my mouse and not shake on a higher sensitivity and become faster and more precise for microadjustments. I now have full control over my aim instead of a low sensitivity limiting aim mistakes and shakiness for me.

    thanks for making this video austin, really helped me. i was struggling a lot with my sense and aim and realized that instead of changing my sense all the time i should just stick to a sense and train with it
    small note for everyone reading this comment: there is no such thing as a perfect sensitivity that will make you better, only good aim training and consistency

    Started CS2 with 2k+ edpi and am now pretty happy with 800edpi. Took me multiple times over the course of the past few months to lower the sens and get used to it. I guess if you have greater psycho motor skills you can get away with a high sens but for me I need the accuracy lower sens provides.

    Best advice ever is exactly to never change it. I fell in this trap so many times even tho I play CS for 20 years. I switched from 400 x 2.0 to 800 x 1.0 (which is effectively the same), 3 years ago and I am trying to stick with it even tho videos like that just make you think : "What if I find my perfect sens now?" . But I stopped with this.

      Many studies show people improve faster by changing their sensitivity; both by a small amount without knowledge, and a large amount with knowledge. This is because it isolates training the fingers and wrist on high sensitivities, and the arm on low sensitivities. Look at the best aimers in kovaaks, they change their sensitivity for every scenario.

    640 edpi. I played with a much higher edpi for a long time but i also had a smaller mouse pad. I went down with the dpi from time to time until i am here. In CSGO i had 800 edpi but lowered it because it didn't work for me in cs2 somehow. Changing the sens in not to bad in my opinion unless you do it all the time. Sometimes you need to change it to find out that you feel more comfortable with a different sense.

  • @whosTage
    @whosTage 5 місяців тому

    I have to say that it feels impossible sometimes to not change the settings since i feel like the mousepad feels little different almost every day then there is posture and grip if you have cold hands or something all these things can ruin your sens someday and the next day is fine but my main point is that i still dont understand why they removed mouse accel since i used it pretty much all of the CSGO and CS 1.6 and before people come telling me its useless and shit im telling you i aimed and played 3x better with it also the awping is way better with it, its been couple months now without it and im just way worse overall and constantly changing sens because i was so used to the mouse accell that i could pretty much get both the low sens and high sens all together depending on how fast i move the mouse so my question is that is there an alternative for it or what do you suggest i do sorry for the long comment ! and btw i used 1.67 / 400 dpi and mouseaccell 0.35 if i remember correctly and now my sens without is 1.87 or 1.9.

    I would say proof of what Austin says first is comparing Scream and NiKo, each in their prime are probably some of the best aimers we've seen in CS but they are on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of sensitivity.
    I would also partially disagree on the last tip, I think you should switch sensitivity once or twice a year if you like change, and only if you have a lot of hours in mastering mechanics though, so that you can build a more well rounded development of the muscles and tendons in your arm. Some aim coaches are making mention of this and saying switching sens isn't bad, but you have to be conscious about it and not just flip flop all the time as most players tend to do.

      Some say with higher dpi your mouse is a bit more accurate but i think half of the pros use 400 dpi and other half 800 dpi, some plays even with 1.6k dpi so i dont think there is much difference. I’ve also heard that with lower dpi your aim is like more steady while it doesnt register all the smallest movements you do but not much difference either way

    • @Kimnojam
      @Kimnojam 5 місяців тому

      Higher DPI means more sensitivity to micro movements, like diagonal movement. Pros for some reason don't like the more sensitive diagonal movement and stick to lower DPI for more sensitivity to lateral/vertical movement. Not sure if this is relevant in real scenarios. Higher sens theoretically can be more accurate cuz lower dpi tends to skip pixels.

      Here's the thing... you could have 2000dpi and 0.26sens in-game OR you could have 1000dpi and 0.52sens in-game. And both will be the same but different. I believe that the latter would be better for spraying. Try it and find out if you wish.

    • @AEtherimp
      @AEtherimp 5 місяців тому +1

      @@mediumplayer1 That's not true. Yes, you can have 2000dpi at .26 or 1000 at .52 or 800 at .65 or 400 at 1.3. They're all the same sensitivity. The difference is the higher DPI will result in less pixel skipping. So hypothetically 2000 dpi at .26 should be 'better' than 1000 at .52, but either way it shouldn't effect your spray.

    • @mediumplayer1
      @mediumplayer1 5 місяців тому

      @@AEtherimp while what you say is true, I also tend to partly disagree. You see, the more dpi we get, the more precisely the mouse registers movement, which means that any unwanted movement gets registered too. So, by becoming more precise, you become less accurate. Playing with dpi and sensitivity values is a game of finding that spot where the hardware does exactly what you want it to do and only what you want it to do.

    Let me give you all some perspective on how genuienly different this is from person to person. I've always loved fps games, played csgo for like 4-5 years played valorant for the last 2. For the last year or so i have been trying 800 dpi and higher senses basically permanently. Neither of which i am generally comfortable with, to see if i can get good at it and feel comfortable with it, because for the longest time i thoughht high sens looks cool. I just switched back to my old dpi and a much MUCH lower sens, and on day one i finally felt comfortable in aiming again. I have not this entire year. I have tried so many different sensitivites. For some people crazy high is the shit, for some people crazy low, for some people its the middle ground for some people its something else. The main thing i really want you all to be careful of is the fact that pc gaming is tiring for everyone. And if you use a crazy high sens out of nowhere you can cause harm to your hand, as you will be repetitively be stressing new muscles in your hand. I have a chronic illness, and i can tell that if i play with a very high sens, for a while my hand can genuienly start hurting JUST because of that. And that is only on high sens aswell. Take care of yourself everyone.

    This is terrible advice imo.
    Aimbots and deathmatch do a really poor job of replicating in game aim.
    Taking this approach lead me to playing on a really high sense cause I was sick of getting shot in the side of the head in deathmatch, but now as I play a lot more I realise in a real game this wont happen because I am clearing angles and people cannot spawn behind me.
    Beginners can probably get away with following this advice but you should definitely be finding a sens that fits your real in game play style

    You should talk about DPI and Inputlag ❤The more DPI you have - the less inputlag is

      If you mean the polling rate of your mouse, then yes. But DPI has nothing to do with input latency whatsoever, unless you count the fact that having a really low DPI and high sense in game causes pixel skipping, but that's not latency, just missed pixels that are hopped over.@@Boatengn1prince

      Input lag is affected by many things like cpu, gpu, monitor, and for mouse it's more on pollng rate. DPI just makes it more sensitive to micro movements, like diagonal movement. Many pros however don't like this diagonal movement.
