I've heard many, many wonderful performances of this beautiful little piece. This is without a doubt my favorite performance: such tenderness and passion. Absolutely beautiful! Thank you Mr. Fortunato for sharing your gift!
This is the best version of this I've found! I'm learning this with my vocal coach now and I want mine to sound like this!

Marko Fortunato it won't be for a while I feel 😂 my voice is very resonant but I don't think I've the breath control yet at all!
Lee Cander if you have resonance you have a great foundation. The whole philosophy is to find a resonant sound on as less air as possible, keeping the resonance ofc. Then, you will have air, and you can build more color, more breath, more volume etc...and do whatever you wish with your sound. Good luck! :)
Marko Fortunato so I showed my singing teacher this... She obviously really liked it... I was getting scolded for changing to an Eee vowel too early on the 'sai' and 'mai' words...I also need to learn to sing softer in certain parts kind of like when you sing the second "E poi spreza". I seem to struggle softening my voice, did you have any similar issues when you began singing?
i have issues right now ;) i guess one always does...
it is what drives you, what keeps you wanting to get better.
this softening is actually covered sound (it is tongue related, "aperto" sound is just lowered back of the tongue and "coperto" is little bit above the "normal" position - that is, if you can define normal,its hard to describe it like this), then, when the sound is covered it is easy to sing piano/soft. this is just my personal opinion on MY body, trust your teacher to guide you and always be ready to ask a question! ;)
