Rewinding it back to the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games when I raced the best sprinters in the world over 200m. Watch as I reaction as I advance through the prelims and semi-finals to reach my first 200m individual Olympic final.

Reflection is the 1st step towards improvement as an athlete, so in this video I reflect on what went right and what went wrong in each race and what I can do to improve for the 2022 world championships in Eugene this summer. In this Tokyo 2020 200m reaction video, I breakdown all the rounds of my races, detailing the good, the bad & the ugly.

Any time you lineup in the 200m at the Olympic games, you're going to be amongst the greatest sprinters in the world. Whether it's guys like Andre De Grasse, Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, Erryion Knighton, Joseph Fahnbulleh; you know fast 200m are on the way. Each round at the Olympics got faster and faster and I react to how I felt winning the prelims, running sub-20 in the semi-finals and finishing 6th in the finals of the 200m at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic games.

First off... Sub'd faster than you ran that first 40..😏 So sick you have a channel.
Secondly, you finished 6th in the OLYMPIC FINAL🔥🔥. The entire planet of Sprinters and you earned something most can only dream of, killing it in the Semis... and qualifying for an Olympic Final.
Now don't get me wrong here, I LOVE Degrasse and he's as genuine as it gets and the whole Country is proud of his accomplishments , but I gotta admit when you won your Semi 🔥🔥 that might have been my favorite moment. 2 Canadians representing.... So proud of everything you've accomplished and the awesome attitude you put out there every season makes it easy to be a fan.
Every season you're getting better and better, faster and faster, and all this experience shows with your successes.

The leg whipping thing happened to me yesterday 😫, I was in first place then got passed
It’s a common mistake that even happens to pros so no sweat. Just have to be aggressive through that area with your knee lift
i’ve watched this vid a few times and i’m still struggling to understand what you mean when you say fishtail on the curve, would you mind explaining if you have the chance?
I’m referring to my inside leg and the way it chicken wings (or fish tails) as I’m going around the curve instead of going up and down. When it’s whipping outwards and not up and down, I’m putting less force into the ground and therefore running slower. Hope that makes sense
I know you run shorter races and have run the 4x400 before, but have you ran/do you run the open 400?
I’ve ran 1 in my life in Tampa 2019. Want to do more in the future
What’s your opinion: Superfly elite 2 vs Maxfly
Personally I like the max fly for the 100 and superfly elite 2 for the 200
If I buy maxflys should I choose the outer lanes?
Depends on your running style and build. I’m taller and have quick turnover so it’s better for me to be in the outer lanes. Everyone is different though

which lanes are preferred for 200m?
I prefer 5-7 and even 8 on a 9 lane track. But I’m a taller sprinter. Some shorter athletes prefer 4 even 3 sometimes.
