I learned this the hard way, being naive and thinking everyone is full of love like I am... in the end you will be throwing your pearls unto swine. One of the best things you can do being utterly silent, intimidating and cold, they will respect you and you will keep your pearls.
You see the phrase ''sharing is caring'' everywhere now. This is social conditioning and slave mentality.
I agree with most of what you say, but don’t let the world make you cold. We are still called to love our enemies. That at least means being just, showing grace, mercy, compassion, and kindness. Fortunately these things don’t require you to share too much or talk too much usually. But it is very tempting to just turn cold sometimes.

God is good! this is definitely a message I’ve told my kids who are in their 20s pretty much all their life. My son just started working with me at my job and I just told him this same message again yesterday, they’re a lot of men here and women, for whatever reason might not like you but pretend to like, do not tell them any of your personal information because they will use it against you.

Joseph's dream is NOT a good example of why silence is wise. If he didn't share his dreams, his brothers wouldn't have sold him to slavery. He then wouldn't have interpreted Pharaoh's dream, wouldn't have prepared for the famine, and wouldn't have saved all those lives. This is a good example of why we should always tell the truth, regardless of the outcome.
I totally agree with you. If Joseph had not gone thru all those trials he would not have achieved what the Lord's purpose for his life was! Amen... We have to learn to ask God for discernment...
I don't believe the pastor was talking exactly about tell the truth which you should aways do. I believe he was talking about not telling people you just meant or people you have known awhile things they don't need to know, for instance how much money you have in your home, or you cheat on your taxes. I come wrong but that's how I took it.
There are lots of instances in the Bible where someone shouldn’t have done something, but God works everything out for His glory and plans. If Joseph had discretion and chose not to share his dream God would have worked out His plans in another manner.

Lord JESUS please hear my prayers. I’m struggling providing for my children. I’m so discouraged. As a single mom Lord Jesus I’m overwhelmed. I have two beautiful boys both are special needs. I’m overwhelmed because they require so much from me. Every month is a struggle to not end up on the streets. Lord grant me strength while I struggle to buy groceries and while I struggle to pay rent each month. With you by my side Lord I know all is possible. 💕

I realized that I couldn't t achieve 99% of things what I told others I would have or get or buy or something like that I used to tell my frnds like I'm going to do this do that but none of that happened and after reading one verse from bible it's like keep yours plan to yourself secret don't tell anyone about it something like that then after I have started noticing changes
