To any readers, we are Tired of all all the PROPAGANDA/BIAS/DOUBLE STANDARDS/GASLIGHTING??? we see it over and over and nothing changes. At the same time MANY ARE CLUELESS ABOUT WHATS GOING ON WHICH. So how can we INFORM THE UNINFORMED better?? Keep showing past lies/context/double standards/msm coverage on previous Iraq/Afghanistan/Libya/Syria wars.we NEED a independent platform something like a AP Archive/Wikipedia/UA-cam combined!!!!! Something for uninformed people who can get as much context/proof as possible on one platform. Something that would be tough to censor (as social media continues to get censored and it will get worse with Trump/Zionist allies in office all over the world) and evade MSM as an alternative source showing all proof and as much context available about Palestine/Syria/Lebonan. We have to continue to inform the uninformed, can’t have the same ignorance we had during the Iraq/Afghanistan war, that ignorance is costing lives and time wasted. You’ll be shocked how uninformed people are, people have no clue how bad the atrocities happening in Gaza are and have been happening well before October 7th. They only see what msm shows them, headlines and Google/UA-cam (which is already censoring content Palestine related, its only going to get worse with corporations, Trump and AI ), they’ll try their best to hide every atrocity in Gaza, if they have the audacity to purposely ethnically cleanse Gaza they will do everything to hide the proof. We need to show everything… Life in Palestine before 1948, the Nakba, everything before October 7th, all the rhetoric Israeli politicians spewed over the years, every double standard, every US politician double standard, every Company/CEO/politician that supports Israel and what they’ve done, every law passed the benefits Zionism, every war crime, every video of IDF soldiers filming themselves before and after oc 7th, every IDF power tripping video, EVERYTHING ARCHIVED. It'll make ICJ life easier and easier to inform people, when people want proof they can see as much proof as possible. Keeping track of every journalist, every MSM headline/video, every organization, politician, everything tracked. So lets say 10 years from now someone searched Piers Morgan/Ritchie Torres or a journalist they can see all the shit he’s said in podcasts/his own show/tweets all archived. Just want to spread this idea, I think if campuses/students/people got together and colloborated we can make it happen. Having everything together will show the full context and we gotta dispel every msm talking point: why don’t Egyptians or Jordanians take them? Because gazans don’t want to leave!!! Stop destroying their land on purpose. 2 million Palestinians already live in Jordan. This is what many uninformed people don’t understand and we have to show them as much context and proof as possible. We see now why the Nakba happened, what countries were complicit then? What Arab countries looked the other way back then? What countries genuinely tried? What celebrities grifted? what news host/journalist played the public back then like a Piers Morgan?? It would be cool to have an archive of as much context/history/proof as much as possible to understand that better? And see patterns that are happening now. Imagine if every student/organization/people journalists collectively worked on a platform together, can we inform the uninformed better and bypass msm. Many people are still uninformed. Imagine we had one like this for the Iraq war/Afghanistan war. It would wake people up to BS from MSM/politicians and it would help people see their agenda more clearly!!! Spreading this concept and having multiple platforms like this would be huge. How helpful would it have been if we can now see what MSM/politicians were saying about Iraq/Afghanistan/Libya back then? seeing the full context in hindsight? every segment/very headline/every politician supporting it? It would’ve been helpful to see patterns now. We know George Bush/Tony Blairs but we don’t know the politicians at the Ritchie Torres/Brian Mast level or even small time journalists that pushed it (who were probably promoted now for being complicit back then). We need our own platform with as much proof and context possible. Maybe a tagging system? not sure but want to get the ball rolling, even spreading this concept/idea will go a long way! Please guys share this idea/concept!?!? Encourage people to save and archive/document any proof/context they can find!! It’s crucial during this time!! Keep showing people things to look up or proof/context!!!! SAVE EVERYTHING YOU FIND!! it matters during this time!! Just encouraging people to do that is huge (we can’t assume they already do, always expect the worst case scenario) We simple can’t afford to have Iraq/Afghanistan war like ignorance, it’s costing thousands of lives. We need as much context/proof available when we look back!!! Even after all this so many people are going to be clueless/ignorant and when another situation happens, we can’t afford for people to be ignorant!
Palestinians have more ancient hebrew DNA than do modern european jews. Genetic studies have explored the ancestral connections between modern Palestinians, European Jews, Israeli Jews, and the Kohanim lineage. These studies often focus on Y-chromosome haplogroups, which trace paternal lineage. Haplogroup J1 (J-M267): Palestinians: Approximately 38.4% of Palestinian Arabs carry the J1 haplogroup. Ashkenazi Jews: About 14.6% of Ashkenazi Jews possess this haplogroup. Sephardic Jews: Approximately 11.9% of Sephardic Jews have the J1 haplogroup. Kohanim Lineage: The Kohanim, a hereditary priestly class in Judaism, have been associated with a specific genetic signature within the J1 haplogroup, known as the Cohen Modal Haplotype (CMH). Prevalence in Kohanim: Studies indicate that approximately 46.1% of Kohanim carry Y chromosomes belonging to a specific lineage within J1, suggesting a common paternal ancestor. Shared Ancestry: Research suggests a significant degree of shared ancestry between Jewish populations and Palestinian Arabs. A study found that a substantial portion of Y chromosomes in both Jewish men (70%) and Palestinian Muslim Arabs (82%) originate from the same ancestral gene pool, indicating common paternal ancestors from the region within the last few thousand years. Conclusion: While specific haplogroup frequencies vary among these groups, the presence of shared genetic markers points to a complex and intertwined ancestral history in the Middle East.
I’m a Muslim and have enjoyed listening to the Rabbi. But boy! Doesn’t this kid’s parents taught him to stay quiet when an older person is talking let alone he was interrupting with silly questions. Had to skip through the stick example instead of pulling my hair
O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people. Quran 5:51
@@moholah3745 Muslim men are allowed to marry Muslim, Christian, or Jewish women. Christian or Jewish women married to Muslim men are not obligated to convert to Islam. So while the verse you quoted on its own is horrible in nature, it requires context because if Muslim men can marry Christian or Jewish women, it invalidates the assumption Muslims can’t befriend Christians or Jews.
@ do u read Arabic? The Aya never mentions friends. Please educate urself better either by learning Arabic or read proper tafseer for Quran rather than sounding stupid
It’s like a human trying to have a conversation with an animal. It’s like they were speaking different languages cause nothing that the rabbi said registered with this guy. WOW THE SHEER UNPROFESSIONALISM WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO WATCH. I GENUINELY HOPE I NEVER COME ACROSS THIS CHANNEL AGAIN
I don't think it's good to criticize the interviewer too harshly. At least he's open-minded enough to bring people like this Rabbi on his show. He also did another show on his channel with Gilad Atzmon.
@@avicenna8438 I agree that Jake Newfield has the open mind enough to engage in ways that aren't bombastically adversarial. Yet, its absurd this video is labeled a debate. It's peak Dunning Krueger for Newfield to think he even knows enough about these topics to "debate" Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro.
I am an atheist, but the way Jake doesn't understand simple concepts, including what it means for something to have a definition or what infinity means, is infinitely frustrating. Now it makes sense why he is a Zionist and argues for things he doesn't even have common sense about. When it comes to Zionism, this guy is as smart as a sponge.
Rabbi is wrong though otherwise hed be able to state the MTDNA haplogroup that is Jewish and besides matrilineal inheritance is modern concept after the Roman conquest
@@shafsteryellowhe thinks that it’s been like that since the time of Moses and you just said something extremely funny to me. The Roman conquest is more than 2000 years old… it isn’t modern in any sense of the word. It’s been maternal longer than paternal, regardless of what you think of biblical history etc.
He's incredibly talented at asking questions and making every effort he can to keep from listening and learning. Is there any reason he has these guys on other than views? He should just stick to his pro-gen0cide echo chamber.
If you keep watching, you'll see that he eventually gives up trying to have an actual conversation with the Rabbi, and just kind of lets him drone on and on and on.
You’re not even paying attention. You have no idea how knowledgeable this rabbi is. You only want to believe what you believe despite any logical argument so no point in wasting this brilliant rabbi’s time.
1:30:18 - You’re right, Jake nearly falls asleep here finding it hard to keep up. He has classic content creator brain rot. He is constantly trying to “catch out” the rabbi so he can create YT clips in the future with titles such as “STUMPS” “CONFUSED” “CORRECTS” etc for clickbait.
This is not a rabbi. He is spreading lies about the Torah. The Torah, our central text from which our traditions originate call us גוי and calls us עם and בני ישראל. This is within the first book alone. Then there are other גויים like the Egyptians etc. This makes it clear that not only are Jews a nation like other nations and unlike religions, they are defined by being children of Israel.and we know from the prophets that even when a member of our nation is not abiding by the law of his people, he remains a Jew. It is not a fact that has ever been disputed. I don’t know why a teacher of Torah would make such a thing up. We have pages and pages of cultural and scholarly works on this since before the Jews even got to Europe. If he weren’t speaking English this would be apparent. Besides ethnicity is just the word English people try to use to explain it. That’s what the English people decided described what it is to be an עם or a גוי
@@tartarus1322 You’re second paragraph shows you’re only talking from a Ashkenazi point of view. Question: If the Torah didn’t exist, would the Jewish people exist?
I should have gotten more sleep. this was a mistaken. I made the same mistake with the James Sexton interview. In both cases the interview would have been better if I got more sleep.
Jake is overly and unnecessarily argumentative. Your argumentative style made his explanations longer, then you complain that his explanations are long and you wanna get on to other things. Let the man finish his points even if you dont agree.
True but I also found it quite endearing since they're like father and son with the age gap - plus the rabbi remains unfazed as ever so no harm done really.
Let not those who disbelieve think they will escape. Indeed, they will not cause failure [to Allah]. And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged. Quran 8:59-60
33:00 this is so painful to watch. I think Jake didn’t take any physics at school. I feel Like the rabbi is talking to a child. I’m sorry this is so painful to watch.
@Shrulik nothing happened all of you are literally whites euros converts, and if ur a true one to the religion you would know that God allows no state of such
Jake! 😂 brother. When you say “France is an ethnostate for the French” do you really not see the contradiction of your position? A democratic nation for all its citizens, including immigrants and non-Christians…. The very opposite of “Israel”… right Jake? Take the Rosie Zio goggles off Jake…
As a French man of Jewish descent, I can certainly affirm that France is NOT an ethnostate, considering the amount of non-christians, non-white FRENCH people living in the country.
I don't know about an ethno-state but the French state has tried to impose cultural uniformity. You can see it historically with discrimination against use of the Breton language by the Celtic people in Brittany. Or today with various forms of bans on the hijab.
@@manueldestanque7136 So you'd agree than, France is not for the French? France should allow unlimited Muslim immigration and one day in the near future France will be a majority Muslim nation. Will it still be France? I'd argue it will cease to be France a short while after the Muslim population becomes the majority. That's how Islam works. Hopefully there still exist some French people who believe France is for the French. Without French people as the majority in France, France will cease to be France. Paris will be the Tehran of the of Europe. What a great thing to hope for.
Not really! The Rabbi IS a Zionist too! There is no distinction! He’s just there to clean up the appearance of his cult Jew brethren! They all work together for the same end!
He raised the argument muslims used in the belief in existence of God. We use comosmogical argument in dawah videos. I think he listens to it as they work well on athiests. It gives them the logical argument they want and dispels the rumor that belief in God is not logical. Watch Mohammed Hijab and Ali Dawah etc covering this topic and breaking it down so it's simpler for average joe to digest.

Sadly I reached 17:15 and went to the comments to confirm that Jake was completely out of his element. Much respect for Rabbi Shapiro for enduring this 2hr conversation. I’m certain I missed out on learning from this very engaging, thoughtful and wise man.
Dear Rabbi, my apologies to you for sitting in this interview. You really are a scholar and a gentleman, i would have never had the patience. You are a gem.
"Let’s not go biblical because you are not religious..." and "you do not have an advantage here." I thought that was brilliantly put at the beginning by Rabbi Shapiro. I have to add to my comment, Jake, Rabbi Shapiro is way too smart and knowledgeable for you.. you should go back to study before being able to keep up with someone like him. Moreover, Rabbi Shapiro is, by far, the most subtle intellectual Jew I have heard who speaks honestly about Judaism and the history of the Jews. While I am not Jewish myself, I have been studying Jewish Scriptures for a very long time, and, at last, I see an honest Rabbi remaining truthful to his own history. This gives me hope.
Jake is not at the Rabbi’s level, lol. When he was confused at to how they would know the child is the mothers I knew how this convo would go. The infinity argument just proved it.
It was really sad to see the mother argument, then i understood Jake is not really listening to understand. If you want to have an debate you should learn much more about the topics. Qudos to the Rabbi for being patient
This Rabbi has very articulately broken a lot of misconceptions about the Jewish faith and people. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Judaism in this video and its a beautiful religion.
The thing is his views are more centered around the Torah. Jews who are more centered around the Talmud can be a lot more extreme than most any other extremist you've seen. They have laws about raping babies(that being that it's not against the law) and children under the age of nine. They talk about each Jew having thousands of slaves went he messiah comes. That we non-Jews are not even human and below animals. That Jesus is in hell festering in a pile of dung. That his mother was a whore. Most people have no clue...
May Allah bless this Rabbi, grant him and his family goodness and ease. And may more and more people come to see the Truth of peace, compassion, respect, and harmony. May the people of Palestine be freed and find boundless peace and healing with their Lord in this life and the next.
Man I normally just ignore my frustrations with interviewers but this guy has spent half the time just needlessly standing in the way of the flow of information. And how can a guy in his seat be so unfamiliar with the concept of infinite, and theory vs reality. This Rabbi is unbelievably patient. It's astounding.
@ I appreciate your opinion, but I prefer the concept of a God. I cannot have 100% certainty about the existence of God, nobody can. But I believe it’s logical and beneficial to me. I hope you have a good day.
@@YashMeasure you can have 100% certainty , because you are a fragment of god, your consciousness/awareness is linked to god, during death, all you'll have left is that consciousness/soul it will keep evolving until you go back from where you came, union with god/infinity/nothingness
Thanks for sharing as a Muslim I am really inspired by Rabbi Yaakov. Ive gotten goosebumps a few times listening and literally witnessed the resemblance and indistinguishable similarities between Judaism and Islam. I will look more into Rabbi Yaakov and have subscribed, Shalom!
I’m a Muslim, and first I’d like to really pay respect to Rabbi Shapiro. The man is very well educated, and posses much knowledge and wisdom. A lot of people are sorta bashing Jake, well yes in the beginning Jake was hot on his feet but as the interview went on I noticed that Jake actually started listening, and paying attention and understanding what Rabbi Shapiro was explaining. Jake is sincere and I see that he just needed clarity and answers, which he got and things started making more sense to him. As a Muslim, I agree with Rabbi Shapiro, The Jewish identity in the eyes of Muslims is a religious identity, because they are believers and practitioners of the teaching and beliefs of Judaism and what is in Torah. Jews for thousands of years, just like Muslims and Christians spoke different languages, ate different food, were citizens and residents of different countries, wore different clothes, but Jews were connected to each other through their religion and the Torah. Zionism is the ideology that hi jacked Judaism and tried turning it into something which it never was before, as Jake said “rebrand” the Jews. Personally, if a person self identifies as a Jew they have that right, a basic human right to self determination and self identity, regardless of which religion their ancestors practiced or not. If you want to be a Jew, Christian, Muslim, it’s up to as long as you you’re sincere and you make the effort. No one else can come and say you’re not a jew or you are jew. It’s between you and God. Overall wonderful interview.
Most of today's Jews have no clue about the history of their religion, yet alone of what Zionism truly is. They have been brainwashed, like their parents and their grandparents before them, to blindly support what the Zionist States does. I know, I was one of them.
Ethnicity is rooted in bloodlines, genetics, and ancestry, things you are born with and cannot alter. Judaism, however, is a system of faith, law, and spiritual practice that is fully open to anyone who chooses to embrace it. You cannot “convert” into an ethnicity, but you absolutely can convert into Judaism-this fact alone obliterates any argument equating the two.
Correct Judaism is first and foremost a religion. Sure you can call it an ethno religion, but even in that case it's only an ethnicity because of the religion.
I'm finding this so entertaining. I'm an atheist on the other side of the world watching a Rabbi and wishing i could speak to him. What a display of patience and communication.
I am a Muslim and I must say, this Rabi is so articulate and speaks to his opinion so well. I wish the interviewer had listened a bit better. Bravo and keep it up
I think people are too down on Jake. He appears to be a sincere person and he gave us a great interview. I've seen Rabbi Shapiro before and I think it's great that Jake had him on. It was a good discussion. Jake deserves a lot of credit.
I think Jake did a fabulous job inviting this great, calm, and lovable grandfather’s figure rabbi for the interview. Jake seems to be a young man, probably in his late 20s or early 30s. Despite his age, he comes across as smart and mature. With time, he will only continue to grow and thrive."
I think as humans we are all hypocrites to varying degrees as it is impossible to be completely objective about oneself and not being in a state of chronic psychological anxiety. The brain ignores and will strongly refute any evidence of contradictions to our self-identity, and if we our actions are diametrically contradictory to the fundamental constructs of that identity, we will minimize or find an excuse for that behaviour and that way that identity is maintained. That’s why you’ll find even the most religious of people of all religions committing the biggest sins or people who self-identify as socialist yet make their income from assets like property rather than their own labour, people that identify as Muslims/Jews/Christians who steal or despise the poor in contradiction to their Holy books instructions etc etc. The rabbis is correct in that Zionism is an ideology but for many of its adherents it’s inseparable to their Jewish identity. Listen to many ex-Zionist Jews they explain how they were brought up with no concept of its difference to Judaism. The problem is greatly exacerbated by the genuine 2000yr CHRISTIAN EUROPEAN (not Muslim) persecution of Jews in Europe and add on top of that the Holocaust which Zionists in the 70s realised they can intentionally use to advance their cause and you may start to understand how Zionist Jews, even if intelligent and rational In every other domain, can be so completely irrational to any critique of Israel and/or Zionism. When they say the UN/Amnesty/HRW/BT’Selem/Oxfam/ICC/ICJ Etc etc are antisemitic, 99% say that genuinely believing it to be true. As for justifying the Palestinian death and violence so visible, it’s clear that the majority of Israelis have turned into unabashed anti-Palestine genocidal fascists who don’t see Palestinians as humans and are not ashamed to hide that sentiment. As for the Zionists who are uncomfortable with the glorification of genocidal violence they genuinely believe the majority of the videos circulated on x are fake “Pallywood” and staged. Obviously Zionism has been disastrous for Arabs of the region and since Oct 7 the Palestinians in Gaza have been subject to a cruelty that makes any anti-racist person who genuinely believes in a collective global humanity utterly sickened and bewildered and infuriated at those who allow for all this tragedy and pain. And for diaspora Palestinians in the West who get attacked even for saying their family members have been killed and gaslit by powerful institutions that deny their people’s right to exist, I genuinely don’t know how they manage to stay sane. Without minimising their genocide and suffering in this moment of time, and just stating as a matter of fact that millions of Palestinians residents outside of Palestine, it is clear that the Palestinian people will go on to survive and this moment will be remembered in generations to come as both a moment of immense resilience & immense tragedy. For Judaism, Zionism is clearly and increasingly rapidly becoming the biggest threat to that religions survival. Israel is not a state that can be at peace with its neighbours because having embraced the Christian west as it’s colonial backer it needs a Muslim existential threat as it’s raison d’etre. Not to mention that messianic Zionists are increasingly running the state and these people actually want a Middle East apocalypse to bring their messiah and are supported by evangelicals in the US who want the same. I don’t know how this thing will end but it it won’t be good I know that
I think Jake represents the built in bias that Z$,on,$sm has created. You cannot believe in God and righteousness while defending gen,oc$de at the same time.
Sorry but a great interview is when you have an actual conversation - with understanding and not ignorance that kiddo jake here seems to be the best at
Being Jewish is not just religion. As the honorable Rabbi says, it is a role to become God's priest on earth. Not to put yourself above others, that they serve you. But to serve all humans face life, coming closer to God. To bring love to all of Gods creation in the heart of people. As more you serve, the closer you achieve seeing the face of God. And believe me, it is enough and fulfilling. Do you see ANY Zionist bringing any kind of love in your heart?
The Rabbi is what God called to be the light to the nations. Secular Jews are the ones he warned of. So you're advocating for Jews having a state who's only claim is biblical while questioning the veracity of the Hebrew Bible. Your line of questioning throughout made no sense. How do u get people to sit with u
Noam Chomsky is a "secular Jew" and he is undoubtedly one of the greatest minds of recent history. You will find great people from all walks of life, from all religions, atheists - etc.... You also find "monsters" that are religious and atheists.
@JohnJesus Chomsky is a communist that has contributed absolutely nothing to society except books and lectures on failed ideas created by secular Jews like himself. The man doesn't even believe in a creator. He has nothing to offer society but more stupid evil ideas
I think that there are so many important subjects that the Rabbi is trying to unpack in one hour. God to politics is a lot to cover in one single interview. I like this Rabbi quite a bit.
This what I love about reformed believers. They pick and choose which parts of the religion they want to follow, then endlessly argue about why it's justified based off feelings and echo-chambers.
I am incredibly thankful that i was not dissuaded by the comments and listened anyway…the section about the first cause and god was riveting. Without this conversation I would never had heard it. This is CRUCIAL. Watch the circular logic of Zionism unravel before your eyes. Rabbi Shapiro delves deep into history, quoting the very words of the founding members of the movement. So many people blindly accept the tenants of Zionism without forming any of the logic themselves, failing to look outside for possible explainations. This is exactly why my parents EDUCATED me about Christ, but didn't FORCE me to IMBIBE the dogma. I found Christ on my own later in life, and have my own individual relationship with him. Blind followers are the most dangerous thing in this world. I've never understood why Jews make Judaism SO hard to convert to, until I realized this fact. Christian Authority has clearly been infultrated in the past, resulting in dispensationalism, weakening the collective power structures. Now we can see just how vast the network of Zionism has become, a network of people who were born into a cultish offshoot of traditional Judaism. I truly pray that Jews can reconcile this, and I give this young man credit for having the stones to bring this great Rabbi on to riddle it out. SHARE THIS WITH EVERYBODY.
Good pick, Jake. We knew you weren't confused, you just needed affirmations from those who have the capacity to enlighten us, to give us the other side of the story, and to help us construct a better understanding about this whole mess we need to resolve.
Jake I love how in the end of the video you where open to his point of view and a lot of the information was changing your own point of view in real time. You stopped debating with him (nothing wrong with debating) and just focused on actually understanding his point of view. Very humble and brave of you to question your assumptions. You are a good guy. Very humble.

I literally had conversations like this constantly as a kid. Love Rabbi Shapiro's logic. Jake is too worried about getting the "right" answer so he forgets common sense a few times.
Jake, you can’t refer to it as an ethnicity because that’d essentially undermine the very purpose of such distinctions. If you define it by lineage, then virtually every Palestinian’s significantly more ‘Jewish’ than literally every Ashkenazim; you’d also be compelled to call African an “ethnicity”, even more so actually. If you think in terms of culture, i.e., heritage, that’d demand referring, for instance, to any peoples who have notable history of trade with one another as one too, e.g. Spain and Morocco, which again, undermines the very purpose of such distinctions. To quote one of the most prominent Rabbis in Jewish history, Rabbi Saadia Gaon, “the nation is not a nation except in its Torahs”, i.e., it’s merely a religion- that’s been the consensus for most of Jewish history, and that too is self-evident, given it’s plainly the *only* unifying principle there is. If I’m being super charitable, you could _maybe_ otherwise define it as a quasi-ethnicity, since there’s technically still an inherent matrilineal principle of identity, but *you simply can’t call something people could convert to an “ethnicity”, full stop.* Feel free to retort :)
Hold my beer… It’s a tribal affiliation and/or bloodline. Words used to describe the connections between people are mostly social constructs. And yes, we can create new sounds (words) to have an uncountable amount of abstract nuanced definitions, but we’re left with the words we have in this moment to communicate until we create or introduce new words in the future. That said, we can be at this forever until we can agree on a “word” that defines the same image in our brains. Jake can use the word “ethnicity” because ethnicity has both objective and subjective elements to it. Never mind the fact that you can have multiple ethnic identities at once. You can use “religion”, because not even the scholars of that field have truly been able to define that word outside of “things you just kind of do regularly or ritually, with or without purpose.” But let’s keep it real, that’s not what a layman’s person envisions when they say “a religion.” And keeping it simple, seeing that Jews are still considered Jews, by the majority, even if they’re atheist, that says enough right there, that it’s not a religion by the laymen’s conceptualization of “a religion”… from the Abrahamic belief systems, at least. Tribal affiliations encompass ideas of ethnicity and family but outside people’s CAN join tribes. Usually by marriage, custom, or by ritual, but the amount of conjured possible ways are as infinite as the members in the tribe want to make it. This is where your comment of conversion is misleading and is missing the nuance. Because conversion is another one of these words that just means you’re changing into something else within the context of whatever it is you’re doing. And in this case, your joining a “peoples” and choosing to adopt their ways, more or less. Bloodline is and is not technically a real thing, because it dabbles in what is “essence” but also in what is lineage. But even lineage is abstract. Because how much “blood” or “genetics” does one actually carry from an ancestor a 100 generations ago. Probably actually zero. But it’s still an objective fact that you descend from them or at least the objective action of them making a baby and procreating. Words are just misleading and trickery. What is a race? The fact that the descendants of Muslim Arab colonialists (the Palestinians) live in the Levant, does not give them claim to nativity. Let alone a more legitimate claim than a Jew whos descendants were pushed out of Israel by Arab crusaders.

On “words”; *a)* they’re all social constructs, not _“mostly”._ *b)* they broadly never capture ‘mental images’, at least not quite, bc defining scope is very demanding, and different people have different conceptions of the same notion, i.e., for convenience and clarity. *c)* they’re a bridge between concept and expression, not an iconicity of the former per se. _“has both objective and subjective elements to it”_ Social constructs, of which “ethnicity” is, are effectively inter-subjective- essentially quasi-objective, which is as close as it gets. Still, the criteria are pretty much one and the same, so how would that have _any_ bearing on the perceived aptness of his usage? There are quite a few definitions for religion- though yours is definitely a peculiar one- , but in common parlance, it’s used for systems of faith that have mechanisms of worship. _“Seeing that Jews are still considered Jews by the majority even if they’re atheist”_ for most who do, it’s been a relatively recent development. Besides, would you demonstrate that… Arabs broadly don’t, for instance. Re “Abrahamic belief systems”, Islam defines Jews as followers of the Torah. Only women could _“join”_ a tribe, if even that, mostly bc they’re regarded as vesseIs for the proliferation of the tribe- that and society’s patriarchal nature, but the belonging there would be inferred, not explicit: That is, not as would be with her presumed progeny. There’s also no uniform “Jewish” culture beyond religion, so even then, it’s an amalgamation of tribes at best. For the love of all that's Holy... This guy does not touch the intellect required to interview such a scholar. This is embarrassingly insulting to the rabbi.
I think Rabbi Shapiro was deliberate to educate a young man about the folly of his ways. I also think the young man was brave and honest enough to demonstrate what he has been taught all along. Big-up Jake for showing your vulnerability and shortcomings. I have always wanted to see a “Jew” on the other side engage Rabbi Shapiro. As a Christian, I have homework for myself now: 1. The Rabbi argued that there’s no trinity. It’s a singularity. I know the Old Testament has many allusions to more than one. 2. I need to find an equivalent to John 3:16 in the Old Testament. Thanks Jake and Rabbi Shapiro

Portuguese Jews have always proudly claimed to be Portuguese wherever we went. Zionism just like the Visigothic reign made the Hebrew religion an ethnicity. Why would we invent the idea of an ethno sate when we know how that went for the Muslims and us jews during the inquisition, one day in Israel we still say despite the existence of the state of Israel. Also during the Roman empire many people converted to Judaism.

The host is so lost in what point the Rabbi was trying to make. This is a result of not thinking for yourself and following what you were taught blindly.
And, the essence of a book, is it the Torah, the Quran, the Gospel, the Tipitaka or the Satanic Bible, is in the eye of the reader. Some one with a good heart, will see even in the Satanic Bible the things about love and let out everything what makes him hate. As well, some one with a bad heart, as we have all that religious wars in history(even from and between Jews), will receive only the hating things and let the ones teaching love out. The real polarization is, Good against Evil. But we let us polarize ourselves from Evil, between all Jews vs all Muslims vs all Christians.... Those with good heart see that. But those are to few.

Haplogroup J1 (J-M267):
Palestinians: Approximately 38.4% of Palestinian Arabs carry the J1 haplogroup.
Ashkenazi Jews: About 14.6% of Ashkenazi Jews possess this haplogroup.
Sephardic Jews: Approximately 11.9% of Sephardic Jews have the J1 haplogroup.
Kohanim Lineage:
The Kohanim, a hereditary priestly class in Judaism, have been associated with a specific genetic signature within the J1 haplogroup, known as the Cohen Modal Haplotype (CMH).
Prevalence in Kohanim: Studies indicate that approximately 46.1% of Kohanim carry Y chromosomes belonging to a specific lineage within J1, suggesting a common paternal ancestor.
Shared Ancestry:
Research suggests a significant degree of shared ancestry between Jewish populations and Palestinian Arabs. A study found that a substantial portion of Y chromosomes in both Jewish men (70%) and Palestinian Muslim Arabs (82%) originate from the same ancestral gene pool, indicating common paternal ancestors from the region within the last few thousand years.
Conclusion:
While specific haplogroup frequencies vary among these groups, the presence of shared genetic markers points to a complex and intertwined ancestral history in the Middle East.

Moreover, Rabbi Shapiro is, by far, the most subtle intellectual Jew I have heard who speaks honestly about Judaism and the history of the Jews.

Awful interviewer. I think Rabbi regretted being there. Such a smart person needs smart interviewers.

The problem is greatly exacerbated by the genuine 2000yr CHRISTIAN EUROPEAN (not Muslim) persecution of Jews in Europe and add on top of that the Holocaust which Zionists in the 70s realised they can intentionally use to advance their cause and you may start to understand how Zionist Jews, even if intelligent and rational
In every other domain, can be so completely irrational to any critique of Israel and/or Zionism.
Israel is not a state that can be at peace with its neighbours because having embraced the Christian west as it’s colonial backer it needs a Muslim
existential threat as it’s raison d’etre.
Sorry but a great interview is when you have an actual conversation - with understanding and not ignorance that kiddo jake here seems to be the best at
Jake, my advice, you need to listen more. You need to have more patience to listen.
That's why you have two ears and one mouth.
Watching the Rabbi trying to explain the cosmological argument for the existence of God with Jake absolutely missing everything is hilarious 😂😂😂
Jake: how do you know someone is your mother
😂😂
Rabbis and Judaism has no light they have been snuffed out by God!! Christians bring light to the world!!
27:00 The stick part of this conversation was too funny. Jake reminded me of myself when I was in middle school STRUGGLING with the math lessons.
Bingo! Unbelievably hysterically funny. The shit goes on forever. I practically did 5-6 spit takes. Absolutely LMFAO. Classic. Epic...
I think that there are so many important subjects that the Rabbi is trying to unpack in one hour. God to politics is a lot to cover in one single interview.
I like this Rabbi quite a bit.
What a wonderful discussion. Absolutely brilliant.
This wasn't a debate. This was a free education and history lesson for you.
Wow. I was so caught up in this conversation, I was taken by surprise when it abruptly stopped.
I love long form content like this.
I’m a Muslim and through several years I’ve listened to Rabbi Yaakov Shapiros speeches. He has a lot of wisdom.
The "stick" part of the debate was annoying but listening to rabbi Shapiro is always enjoyable.
It was super boring and frustrating.
This what I love about reformed believers. They pick and choose which parts of the religion they want to follow, then endlessly argue about why it's justified based off feelings and echo-chambers.
Not all Shapiros are built the same!
I am incredibly thankful that i was not dissuaded by the comments and listened anyway…the section about the first cause and god was riveting. Without this conversation I would never had heard it. Truly fascinating to listen to. I really wish you would have had all night to continue the conversation in that direction.
Rabbi Shapiro preaching the truth about Zionism to the world. 👏🏽
Este señor es magnífico. Me encantaría escucharlo hablar todo el tiempo posible.
Thank you teacher 🙏🏾
Hey Jake this was brilliant! I love Rabbi Shapiro - please upload the complete conversation.
Thanks! I will upload the full conversation

At 23:42 I laughed non stop. Rabbi’s chuckle obliterated me. This is an amazing interview. I learned a lot. The frustration Shapiro has on his face with a zombie is the funniest thing i have seen all year.
This Rabbi is absolutely amazing!!! Very intelligent, unbelievable how smart and truly a spiritual master he is!✨️🙌👋Absolutely amazing!!! He represents a true word of God!!!! What a absolute beautiful soul. I wish to absolutely learn from his extensive base of knowledge 🙏, amazing 👏!!!!
24:00 Rabbi talks about the cosmological argument - a true logical proof of god.
This host try to tell the rabbi "2+2=5" he doesn't know anything.
The Infinity part was brutal.
BRUTAL!
Bro thanks for bringing this guy on. Whatever ppl are saying you did good to bring him on and listen to him even though you didnt agree with him. A lot of interesting thing. That was a great interview
thanks!
Bro this is the first time I listen to a rabbi for so long thanks to you. All the Subjects mentioned were super interesting. Big love to you.
I appreciate it!
“How do you know that she’s his mother?” Honestly From that question alone, I knew that this wasn’t going to be a debate.
I’m sure the Rabbi thanks Muslim philosophers/scholars for putting together the cosmological arguments he used
I literally had conversations like this constantly as a kid. Love Rabbi Shapiro's logic. Jake is too worried about getting the "right" answer so he forgets common sense a few times.
Why is DNA tests illegal in Israel then? Saying most jews teace their DNA back to ancient Israelites without actual studies and proof is pointless
DNA tests are illegal in Israel???
@avishalom2000lm yes if it concerns ancestry
@@avishalom2000lm yes they are.
Hold my beer…
It’s a tribal affiliation and/or bloodline.
It’s just a group or people or anything technically that one subjectively drew lines anywhere to differentiate. ie: the elf race, the human race, the red curly haired race, the short race, etc etc etc and for ever etc…
The fact that the descendants of Muslim Arab colonialists (the Palestinians) live in the Levant, does not give them claim to nativity. Let alone a more legitimate claim than a Jew whos descendants were pushed out of Israel by Arab crusaders.
DNA studies already prove this!
@@bgiehowhy do Zionists always corrupt history for political purposes? When were the crusaders Arab? The crusaders were from the Roman Empire in Europe. You need a refresher course on your hasbara.
@@MrBerto800 Sure I will…
_“Tribal affiliation and/or bloodline”_ so lineage or heritage. Already retorted.
If supposedly none of this is technically real bc of being abstract, then what does that leave truth? Also not real? Then why even have a conversation- you couldn’t even settle on a basis for reality…
_“how much blood or genetics does one actually carry from an ancestor a 100 generations ago. Probably actually zero.”_ Infinitesimally small, but still not zero.
I’m not interested to engage in postmodernist discourse, so please cut it out :]
As a Christian, I have homework for myself now:
1. The Rabbi argued that there’s no trinity. It’s a singularity. I know the Old Testament has many allusions to more than one.
2. I need to find an equivalent to John 3:16 in the Old Testament.
Thanks Jake and Rabbi Shapiro
I LOVE this rabbi, he's BRILLIANT. And i always learn so much. BUUUUT... the interviewer sounds so incredibly dumb! Poor rabbi

Poor rabbi. Must have lost some days of his life trying to make this guy's neurons synapse.
Oh , Rabbi , I could listen to you talk for hours and I have , but this child is struggling with your level of philosophy . I hope you can reach him.
Nevermind I just realized he thinks he is playing 3d chess but really he is playing tiddily winks
I support the logic behind Rabbi Shapiro's argument. Divergence and convoluted rules have created distinct groups.
Destiny wishing Norm was this nice to him
"Pleasure talking to you Mr Borelli" :3
Rabbi for the win!!!
Its not Zi0 nists its Ra cist whyte Chr sitian western societies who constructed their J wish people into this "otherness" This sick mindset is still present in Western countries, to try to push someone aside the moment a minority group is "too integrated"
God bless you, Rabbi, and your patience. Great intellect, great heart.
The question is "how many POINTS there are"
not
"how many SECTIONS there are and what size they are"
Jake, you were really out of your league here...
Yup. Imagine if the Rabbi had asked him what weighs more - a kilo of feathers or a kilo of sand.
The host is so lost in what point the Rabbi was trying to make. This is a result of not thinking for yourself and following what you were taught blindly.
What were points? I was like, Jake lost with that concept?
Brother. My suggestion to you is be a better listener. Don’t interrupt your guest’s line of thought. Don’t show disinterested. Be humble. You can do later a reaction video and explain your ideas. Good luck
So the interviewer here is actually the channel owner? Why is he ruining the interview with non-sensical questions?
This rabbi is amazing !
I think you screwed up that interview too much debating for no reason... but hey continue the good work your one of the best out there!✊️
