This is an instance where the beautiful simplicity of the music, the organist and the instrument are in perfect harmony with the lovely simplicity of the church.I generally find modern churches bereft of any Christian religious aesthetic. Not this one. Everything comes together in a lovely whole.
The glorious sounds created by this wonderful student organ is proof it ever it were needed, that beautiful things can come in small packages. It is the lasting legacy of its maker, Jürgen Kliemt and to his credit as a fine organ builder.
This is not a "student organ"; it is called Orgelpositiv, or just Positiv, in english Positive organ. It is mandatory, next and with the main organ, in several Bach cantatas.
@@evanofelipe No question, it is wonderful. However, in Germany, we say "Knowledge is power". So, it´s always good to know the things behind the things.
Dr Melvin West always chose to play this just before the introductory prayer at church when I was a college student in the 60’s. Thank you for the reminder. Bach seems immortal and his music remains foundational to everything that came later.
One of the best Renditions of this beautiful piece bringing together memories of hearing this in school, the Simplicity of the performance, the lovely venue it is played, and the communion with something spiritual all in one package . Thank you so much!
This piece brings a sense of peace and comfort to the soul. Among Bach's works, it has an especially touching melody, and every time I listen to it, it feels like my heart is soothed. 🎶🙏🌼
What a beautiful organ ! So delicate, so well-balanced. I tried to find more information on organs by Jürgen Kliemt, but didn't find any. Is this organ a one-off?
Thank you very much! This organ is prototype, was built by german organbuilder Jürgen Kliemt, who died 2007! You can visit it in Landshut, in Germany. Best regards!
For those who don’t get this comment, it’s a reference to the Gabriel fight in the video game “Ultrakill” (chapter 2-3), where the boss says this line before you engage him while this plays in the background at an accelerated speed.

A violin is very small.
Lovely in its simplicity.
Despite being small, this organ sounds beautiful.
I agree! Die orgel ist schön.
How much better this small pipe organ rather than an electronic noisemaker. Who built it, when, and how much did it cost?
@@djpalindrome from another thread Andrej said that this organ is a prototype built by German organbuilder Jürgen Kliemt, who passed away in 2007.
@@mao-janlin6751 Oh so sad
Yeah, but then we don't know how much post recording adjustments were done in software, or what youtube itself did to the sound.
what a neat litle organ

Very fine rendition with great articulation and exquisite phrasing
Thank you very much!
Beautiful performance. Lovely piece by Bach.

bachはこのような深みまで人の魂を引き入れてくれるので感動します。
Superb, and deeply moving, Andrej! You prove that one does not need a great organ to present Bach's great music.
Thank you very much!

BEHOLD! THE POWER OF AN ANGEL!
That’s absolutely beautiful!
This goes to show that the building does make a difference when playing an organ. Even a small organ can fill up a decently sized church!
Wow, sounds amazing!

Thank you for this lovely performance of an haunting work. I’d like to hear the whole cantata now. Do you happen to know which cantata it’s from?
Any organ of Jurgen with approximately the same size for sale?
