  • @ismahz
    @ismahz 2 роки тому +89

In the first chapters he is fussing todays urban genre and bosses.
The last chapter was to a specific person.
The hook basically means that he is not even trying, that he is doing that casually just for fun.
He is the Latin Eminem, but he is shut out of major platforms because he does not play by the rules set out. He is very political and speaks out to fight injustice. When 43 students were kidnapped (by the government) and disappeared after a strike in Mexico, he had been invited to the Grammys under the condition that he not speak about the kidnapping. While on stage, he took off his shirt to reveal another shirt underneath with the number 43 cut out.
His songs have great rhymes that have meaningful message behind them. In this session he used one of the best books ever written in Spanish (Don Quijote) to show the intellect behind the writing. The third chapter is named after a chapter in the book.

He was talking about J Balvin a famous “artist” that doesn’t write his own songs, than did a videoclip showing black women on chains like dogs, the pressure was that high that he had to delete the video. He believes he’s Mozart or something in the same level but the reality is that he is just famous because he is the reflection of the stupidity of societies we are live in. He pissed Residente off because he was complaining because he wasn’t nominated to the Latin Grammys. When he knows he doesn’t have talent even he can’t sing good without Autotune, usually J balvin do playback. There’s more story but I don’t want to extend I hope you have a clear image of J Balvin, he’s fake maaan

I always love seeing non hispanics react to René (Residente's name).
I would recommend Residente's "Rene", but also 2 songs of his past in Calle 13 (the duo composed of him and his brother) Latinoamerica and Adentro. I hope you react to them soon! They are fantastic songs.
Residente was talking about JBalvin who is a reggaeton singer.
Residente is one of the greatest Spanish speaking lyricists and rappers, he is greatly respected. He isn't incredibly famous now but that's because he was banned from all radios and TV in Puerto Rico after he publicly dissed a politician. He is a rebel, and in many protests and revolutions here in Latin America you will always find signs with his lyrics on them.
Residente in Adentro quotes a Puerto Rican independence revolutionary saying "when tyranny is law, revolution is order." Which has become iconic and immortalized in all of Latam thanks to him (he is very educated as he always believed education is the key to the future, he reads and reads and reads and is always speaking about social, moral, and philosophical issues).

This "tiraera" is for an expecific latino artist called J Balvin. They started an argument a few months ago and Residente it's just ENOUGH about it.
You should look out for more of his music.

he is talking about J. Balvin, they are both HUGE artists on hispanic music. But is very unlikely that Balvin would reply. Residente is a beast in Disstracks and pretty much everyone knows that, is the hispanic equivalent of trying to come back from an eminem diss, and balvin is more like a "singer" than a lyricist. But it was interesting nonetheless.
You should react to more of residente, he has some awesome lyirics.

Residente (resident), actual name is Rene Pérez, is one of the most talented rappers in Latinoamérica. At the beginning of his career he started a band called Calle 13 (Street 13) with his stepbrother, visitante (visitor) which was known for its eclectic style. After several years of success he went solo. This session is about J Balvin with whom he’s had some issues with.
Residente is a great rapper and writer. I recommend watching the video “Rene” which is a very personal song that talks about his depression and his struggles.

I'll try to go in order of him as an artist for recommendations including popular and what I liked or believed to be his better songs. Residente kept his lyricism but started to evolve as an artist and began rapping about real issues. The following albums are when he was a group with his brother visitante and sometimes their sister pg-13.
Calle 13 (album) - Atrevete-te-te (One of if not biggest song), electrico, la jirafa
Residente o Visitante - Pa'l Norte (Big song from this album), sin exagerar, la fokin moda
Los De Atras Vienen Conmigo - Que Lloren (Disses other artists), La Perla
Entren Los Que Quieran- Latinoamerica (Huge song talking about latinamerica, Calma Pueblo, La vuelta al mundo, Muerte en Hawaii
MultiViral - La Vida (respira el momento), el aguante, ojos color sol, Adentro, Me Vieron Cruzar
Songs from him as a solo artist
    Bellacoso (has bad bunny)
    Rene
    La Catedra
    Rap Bruto

He has beef with J Balvin and knowing how J Balvin acts hes only gonna tweet something and not respond to this, Residente absolutely ended him bro
Ok i HAVE to edit this in, the beef started when J Balvin wanted everyone to not go to the grammys, then Residente responded with a video of putting as an example a hot dogs seller and a restaurant the hot dog seller being J Balvin and the restaurant being other artists that actually put effort and make good music.
When he says that he made two black women put dog collars on hes talking about a music video wich had that scene (pretty racist ngl) and this isnt the worst thing that he has done.
J Balvin has an album about colors and almost every color has a song, one color that does not have a music video is brown thats something that Residente said in the music video.
The reason that Residente talks about hot dogs so much is because J Balvin used the beef for hot dog merch and advertisement.
THIS is the worst thing J Balvin has done: J Balvin is from Colombia, and there was several protests in Colombia in 2021 and a lot of artists and famous people started making support messages and making people aware of what was happening (Including Residente) however J Balvin DIDNT say a SINGLE THING to support his home country.

This is the OG of Spanish Rap and Reggaeton. This "El Residente". His name is Rene. He raps about political issues, current events, the music industry, and his life. He started out with his Step-brother (and sometimes his sister, iLe) in the duo known as "Calle 13". A very famous Rap/Reggaeton group from the mid 2000's. Residente and his bother "Visitante" (he was the musician) are from Puerto Rico. You can react to the song "Rene" if you want to know more about his life. And, you can react to "Latinoamericano" if you want to know more about his social content. By the way he always sound sarcastic in his rhymes. He is dead serious though. Something he touched on in this video is true. He helped get rid of the Governor of Puerto rico, together with the people of Puerto Rico back in July of 2019. He was forced to resign. In this song he talks about the rap industry, fame, and a certain Rap/Reggaeton Superstar. He does mention his name in the middle. I'm not saying who it is because, I kind of like his music. Rene is real though. He has had a lot of backlash for his comments, in the past. The fact is that what he says is usually true. I admire his spirit. I like the fact that he incorporates rare instruments in his songs. Residente is considered the Latino Eminem. His bars are crazy. He can free-style. I believe he is the best Latino Rapper. Daddy Yankee is considered the King of Reggaeton. He did mention a few OG Reggaetoneros. He paid Homage to them in this song. Tego is one of my favorites from back in the day.

(This is a pretty accurate translation I made of the lyrics, so enjoy)
[Chapter One: In a place of La Mancha]
I'm a little bit uneasy while I keep watch on the Urban genre, rearing the sight like a crocodile in the Nile River, settling a couple pending scores before Milo comes...
Sitting on a chair under an umbrella, wearing a tank, with the dog BITING my shoes, burping tortillas with butter toasts, aiming at the horizon with an unscoped rifle.
While I talk to myself like Don Quixote, with beer foam in the mustache, waiting for these hotdogs to exit the cabin like an outbreak, before their boat sinks, but as always the sh!t breaks out, I'm ready to hit these suckers until my shell runs empty.
Today I pull down their marketing on a go, like we pulled down the statues of Christopher Colombus.
I break these junks, like a rocker in the 80's breaking his guitar. With the Resi' you crap yourself. Even my verses became alcoholic... because there're too many bars!
I come from the heat, from Trujillo (PR), the drums on the streets sound: "RU-PUM-PUM-PUM!"
There's no discussion! Even my brother Don (Omar), knows that in the rap, there's only one King Kong!
Sending fire! This is Wild Lion, there's no kidding. Like in the days of (Julio) Voltio with Tego (Calderon).
You and I are not the same. I don't believe in the stars of the digital platforms, nor your billboards of cake cream, nor you Instagram stories about D&G and Cartier. I only believe in my level, and the carbon of my pencil... running over the paper!
    [Hook]
    I do this...
    To have fun
    To have fun
    To have fun
    Since I'm leaving right now...
I'm taking a couple ones before I leave.
[Chapter Two: My lyrics are my weapons]
Today I bang the industry of fame, until breaking the bed springs. When my wording spills I bang them without pajamas, vertical and horizontal, like in a crossword puzzle.
In the dissings... I'm the terror of terrors from this era, for these losers, the springtimes are no longer multicolor... because where I throw a punchline, the flowers stop growing!
They're fifth-rate artists who write less, than a pen without ink. When they see me, decompose themselves pale white color... like the fake teeth they put in.
When the cap with the [R] comes close to the entire stage, there starts to smell like a peasant farm because these fake rappers become hens with my rhyme, when I impose discipline like in China, my retina only sees heads rolling downhill, the French Revolution with the guillotine. Burning showcases, I go all in, going over, with a bottle, a towel and gasoline, like in Palestine. I do it easy like peeling tangerine, comfortable like a seat when reclines. I'm (Carlos) Correa, (Javy) Baez and (Francisco) Lindor, routine Double-Play. This is not through Instagram... THIS IS SOLVED IN THE BOOTH!
I kill them tying my right and left hands, singing kid songs jumping the rope. There's no break that I lose. If I put them all into a blender, I get a SH!TSHAKE!
Fo' 2 minutes of a song, they have 20 songwriters. Even the managers are composers. $500 for a ticket, gentlemen, to see them hopping like a jackáss dressed in colors!
The Auto-Tune and Playback ON! These fools sing even with the microphone off. You can't be the leader, champion of champions, if they wrote all your FOKING SONGS!
A well made hotdog is delicious. The problem is that's not cooked... by these liars. These bums are sweet-tooth. They don't take the dish to your table, and steal the waiter's tip! And they're not embarrased, that's the shameful thing. The bees make honey but the bear eats it. The respect is not bought by being talented. One thing's being artist, another one's being famous!
There's a cleaning to be done. Much delusion of grandeur, little skill. This just begins, and I'm still with my first BEER!
    [Dialogue]
    - Residente: Gabriel. Is okay like this?
    - Brother: For real, it's pretty sh!tty, mf. But if you diss J Balvin, I may like it.
    - Residente: No! Not J Balvin, mf! A dummy, that mf!
    ...
    - Residente: Fine. Let's.
[Chapter Three: The Knight of Mirrors]
I'm gonna lower myself with a dummy, who sings to Sponge Bob and Pokemon. The copy of a clone, the Logan Paul of Reggaeton! This is lower than ejaculating without erection.
Like they said to him: "Josecito, you lack of streets, that's why you have soft nuckles." With only a video I bury this calf, and I make him upload photos with his dog. This coward young lamb is like a vegan breakfast... without eggs (guts/nuts). The (colombian) people struggling, being killed (by government) and the guy uploads a photo of Gandhi praying.
LYING JACKÁSS, pretends to be spiritual, using mental health to sell a documentary. You're more false than a hotdog without ketchup nor bun. More false than DJ Luian's abs!
The buddy's so insecure, that has to be posting on Instagram of how much bux he earns. Doesn't understand the values of life, has to tatoo on himself, the "loyalty" word... because he forgets it!
He's a jerk with hair dye who put on black women, dogchains on their necks. A white boy who lost his path. All a divine, accepting his Afro-Latino award. One day he said he wanted to make Reggaeton, being frank, after discovering that Daddy Yankee was white! My pal, worst and most serious thing, is this jackáss being racist and doesn't even know it.
The history will slap your face at the name of all who, under abuse, harvested cotton. And another slap, at the name of all who've had to double-battle within Reggaeton: Myke Towers, Sech, Choquibtown, Rafa Pabon, Don Omar, Ozuna, Arcangel, Tego Calderon. They're a lot who, without thinking, you put under the drawer. In your colored rainbow, there's no BROWN!
A sacrilege, this school white boy still doesn't understand the foking privilege. But what do you expect from this loser, raised by his father, a frustrated influencer. In Puerto Rico, to be accepted in the Reggaeton... he swallowed more load than a condom. By each blow he stepped a stair up, each day disguised with a different color like a chameleon.
What Ruben (Blades) said, the resident still stands for: "Although you change of colors, I always know where you come through." The chameleons only look after their own navel. They become friends even with their enemies. Nothing but with this witness. "The business is business, partner. In the business, there're no friends."
My thing's no business. We are different. For the music, I put my heart to the front. My billboards are held by the people, next to my lyrics on each banner to takedown a president!
I'm not the most famous of the whole circuit, but I crack, in 20, your favorite rapper! What I said in "Calma Pueblo," I repeat: "With me, you eat, even though you have no apetite!"
I don't do this to give you advices, nor abuse you even though this is uneven. Today I skin you, so those who buy your hotdog shirt... feel so jackáss! This is for the kids, for the respect all those who write deserve.
The Formula 1's are as tourists, they race no more... because I JUST BROKE THE TRACK!
    [Final words]
    Well...
    I already took them.

He's a rapper (old school), he writes, famous in Latin America, Europe, LA, Fla, NY etc. Had some issues with J Balvin a reggeaton singer from Colombia. And this song last almost 9 minutes and has a record on views on the first 2 days. He is screwing him up, but J Balvin don't write and is in silent mode. He talks about the industry in the 2nd part. In the 3erd part he goes strait to punch him. Talks about that people that wear the hot dogs TShirts (that's a line of clothes that J is selling after a talk where Residente says that hot dogs are good, but when you want to eat better you go to a Michelin Star restaurant). He says that J is racist cause he put chains to 2 black girls and walked them as dogs (that was a video that was blocked by UA-cam) He says that the original rappers worked harder and he has everything the easy way. He says that his father was a frustrated influecer. That while in Colombia people were killed fighting for their rights he just shows a photo of Ghandi. He ends each chapter saying that he's leaving but he'a gonna take down a couple and in the last one he says I already did. He is destroying JBalvin's credibility and career. Hope you'll understand.

Residente is an icon! He is a hip hop artist through and through. A lot of his verses are used when people protest all over the spanish speaking world and oddly enough he is also related to Lin Manuel Miranda and they collabed on the Hamilton Remix with Snow Tha Product who also did one of Bizarap's sessions. This guy is legit legit from the old school spanish hip hop guard.
