আপনি যদি শুরুতেই উপদেশ মূলক বই/ self development type বই দিয়ে বই পড়ার অভ্যাস গড়তে চান তবে তা সত্যিই কঠিন হবে। বরং হুমায়ূন আহমেদের মিসির আলি আর হিমু দিয়ে আরম্ভ করেন। একবার আনন্দ পেতে শুরু করলে আর থামতেই পারবেন না।
আর তুমি যদি teenager হয়ে থাকো then সত্যজিত রায়ের ফেলুদা দিয়ে শুরু করো। সাথে হ্যারি পটারের অনুবাদ।
আর আপনি যদি English বই পড়তে চান তবে Paulo Coelho এর The Alchemist দিয়ে শুরু করেন। খুব simple English । একবার অভ্যাস হয়ে গেলে পরবর্তীতে যা খুশি পড়তে পারবেন। বার বার dictionary দেখতে হবে না।
একদম সত্য এবং সঠিক পন্থার কথাই লিখেছেন।

the thing one should consider when reading quickly is to focus on the insight of a book and not to carry away by the pleasure of finishing the book without clearly understanding it
Steve Jobs - Walter Isaacson (বাংলা অনুবাদ)।এই বইটি অসাধারণ। আমার মনে হয় বইটি আমার উপর কিছুটা হলেও প্রভাব ফেলতে পেরেছে।
এই বইটিই পড়ে আরেকটি বই সম্পর্কে জানতে পেরেছি সেটি হচ্ছে Zen mind beginner's mind .এই বইটি এখনো পড়া হয়নি,ইনশাল্লাহ পড়ে ফেলব।
ওয়াআালাইকুম আসসালাম। আলহামদুলিল্লাহ, ১ মাস পর আজ বাসায় আসলাম। পড়াশোনা কেন্দ্রিক বিশাল এক পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছি। রমাদান এর আগে এখন মূলত রমাদান কেন্দ্রিক পড়াশোনা করতে চাই, পবিত্র মাস টা ভালোভাবে কাজে লাগানোর জন্য।
ভাইয়ার লিস্ট এর বইগুলোও মনে হচ্ছে খুব সুন্দর! খুব লোভ হচ্ছে... ইনশাাআল্লাহ..

একটা জিনিস খেয়াল করলাম আমার মতো যাদের বই কিছু অংশ পড়ে রেখে দেওয়ার সমস্যা আছে তাদের ব্যাপারে। যদি The Speed Reading বইটা আগে থেকে না পড়ে থাকি, তাহলে আসলে The Speed Reading বইটাও শেষ করতে পারবো না, কেননা তখন বইটার প্রিন্সিপালসগুলো না জানার ফলে এই বইটারও কয়েক পেজ পড়েই বইটা রেখে দিবো।

খুব ভালো লাগলো আপনার সাজেস্ট করা বই গুলো।আমি মূলত বাংলা বই পড়ি,ইংরেজি ও কিছু কিছু পড়ি যে গুলোর ভালো রিভিউ দেখি।
যদি বাংলা কিছু বই এর সাজেশন নিয়ে একটা ভিডিও করেন খুব ভালো লাগবে।

I think everyone should start with fiction/young adult books. Personally I don't enjoy self help books and I have hard time finishing them. I find it easier to read classic books than self help ones.
