Nice flight Andy, great to see you fly something other then a quad from time to time. I remember reading some time ago why pusher props were so loud but damn if I can remember the reason off hand. Thanks for another great video. *Dance the Skies*
Fantastic to see something else from our great hobby! ! ! Planes and wings are just as fun as helicopters/multi rotors. Great review! ! Informative and entertaining great job mate cheers! ! ! !
Hey Andy, Great video ... I had a smile on my face the whole time you flying the wing. That kind of fun is what this hobby is all about. This kit sounds like a must have that I "must have"!! Thanks again for a fun review.
Hey cool, Andy! I'm interested in fixed wing FPV, but this this is riding a fighter jet! I'm sorry for the troubles you encountered, but very glad for your ultimate success.
I have one too and it's so fast on 4S. I had a quad following me which couldn't keep up at all :) only problem I had was the Bec frying either from a faulty servo or causing the servo to go faulty. so it's got a new Bec and mg90d servos in it now :)
I've been eyeing these wings now and you may've set me over the edge. While I dont have skills such as yours yet to problem solve, this one may improve with more reviews and attention. Techone is a brand I'll at least look out for when it comes time to jump. The price is right as well.
Sort of takes me back to when I was flying competition aerobatics and pylon racing, using a Mode 1 TX. Definitely an adrenalin rush. Looks like you have the B lens Mobius Mini .. based on fisheye horizon. I have an A lens version, and like to set my EV to be weighted to the lower part of the screen (the ground) .. or you could lock it as you mentioned. Saw you doing some Immelman turns and split-S turns, and a loop or 2, but how about some Cuban 8s? Pull up in to 2/3 loop, roll out coming down, then pull up into another 2/3 loop, rolling out again ... Cuban 8. Looks like you could even do a vertical 8 with a 4S in there. Ah .. memories of my misspent youth .. ha ha! Cheers!
Nice man ! building also one now :D your channel grown so much! Congratz with that :) I remember the time i was looking at your first video hehe! Keep on going !
Hi Andy, i myself have one of these wings (not built yet) but i've heard the original BEC outputs a tad above 5V (about 6.4V or so), and you are supposed to adjust the voltage with the little pot in the corner. Altough the manufacturer doesn't tell you so anywhere, after many customers have complained they have since made a pdf showing how to correct the error. That has probably been the cause of death of the poor little servos :( P.S.: I have the pdf, if you want to take a look at it i could send it to you if you want.
im not sure the bec should have blown though but it definitely did. I put a different bec in the description its a pain to do as well as the esc is heat shrinked and so is the bec grr
haha, i plan on removing it completely and adding a mini PDB with 5V(for the Rx) and 12V(for the VTx) BECs, to make all the soldering and repairs easier and also moving the esc a bit forward so that it isn't in the way of the rod.
AndyRC I thought the same thing. you could mount it sideways. it seems to stitch both lens images together fairly well, so you shouldn't notice too much distortion when looking straight ahead (or behind).
The volume is down to the resonance of the wing. It acts like a sound board and deflects the sound Not something you get with quads but do get with low aspect planes especially wings. I wouldn't guarantee the accuracy of that but is what they told me at the flying club ;)
Hello Andy.😎 , I've flown rc gliders a long time ago and into fpv quad since a year. I'm now ready for a best bang for the buck an fpv wing deal (prefer arf/pnf) but am still open. Got a recommendation? I've do have a radio, rx, fpv system and some servos laying around. Many thanks !!
Yep, i got into quads.. realized every time i go fly is another 30 dollars in broken parts... flown my skywalker 1680 many times even tho i crashed it(very badly) one time it was only about 50 cents in hot glue and it was good to go.
Kanaan Nichols that's why I like planes. especially home built frames as well because a little hot glue and maybe some more foam and your back in the air. I crashed my plane full speed into a tree trunk and I was good after replacing the prop and some foam and hot glue 😂😂😂
Hi andyrc another great video keep up the good work, one question am very tempted to order one just worried about import tax is there a way around it ? cheers
Hey Andy what is the white thing in the sky on the right top of screen in video when you pass from left to right in later half of review 22min onwards cheers....might need sending to Secureteam10
Haha you beat rcmodelreviews to doing an actual review. In his first video he pretty much just said it wasn't a minirace wing. I know it's not a race. I just think it's funny since I was waiting for him to do the actual review on it.
Wonder what this would look like in a wind tunnel and marker flowing over it. Probably pretty bad. Probably only slightly better than flying crates from the early 1900's.
If you love that has your first wing please go and get the sonic 64 wing and you be well made up mate so please check it out and have a look out on some other videos and check it out nice one suresh
hi Andy I wonder if you could help me please I recently received my kingkong tiny6 it didn't seem very stable out of the box so I connected up beta flight for the first time to check it. I didn't. think I'd change anything but I obviously have. and now I just can't get it to work the transmitter also doesn't connect. I can't seem to find standard rtf settings for beta flight anyware cheers ian
AndyRC hi Andy originally i think it flew like it was set for acro as it would flip on take off and toward speed was crazy fast with camera pointing at the floor. beta flight didn't show any problems but the tx stopped working. I had it set for sbus as you suggested with aetr1234 nothing I did worked I've even reflashed the board with the recommended spracing firmware. still can't get it to work. I have tried binding with the button on top of the flight board and that didn't work either. any ideas please cheers ian
I am guessing most of your audience are quad flyers. I'd expect them to destroy this in minutes. I think they'd be off getting a cheap teksumo or bonsai wing ( rebranded techone products) from hobbyking and using an old quad 1806 2300 on the bonsai or 2205 2300 on the teksumo. Then once mastered get this.
I wouldn't recommend a wing to any beginner so id say master a trainer plane first. I get a lot of requests for fixed wing so i would not assume everyone is a quad flyer. they go hand in hand for me :)
Nice flight Andy, great to see you fly something other then a quad from time to time. I remember reading some time ago why pusher props were so loud but damn if I can remember the reason off hand.

it is however it seems the bec problem is common and is outputting 6v, you have to turn it down to five so it doesnt blow the servos :(
No prob, thanks for the heads-up ... I keep 5vdc BECs on hand at all times.
Take care my friend ...
im more of a quad guy but now that I see this...this could be something im into
if it flys then it has my interest ;)
Great job! One of my favorite RC channels. :)
+Mike Brisky thanks mike

Yey! this was a treat, more sexy fixed wings on your channel :) You have come the full circle for good ;)
thanks very much!
Good to see you probably enjoying yourself, haven't seen that for a long time.
Yay. Planes are my favorite. Im building a wing right now.
what wing are you building?
AndyRC The epp pinata 43". Its my first build.
I have one too and it's so fast on 4S. I had a quad following me which couldn't keep up at all :) only problem I had was the Bec frying either from a faulty servo or causing the servo to go faulty. so it's got a new Bec and mg90d servos in it now :)

yep i agree good price for what you get and good quality
I miss flying my wings. Still haven't built a sub 250g one so that I can get back into the game.

yes bill its the 135 version. I am well out of practice when it comes to planes need to practice more. I was never good enough for competitions though
Nice man ! building also one now :D your channel grown so much! Congratz with that :) I remember the time i was looking at your first video hehe! Keep on going !
+Jordy RC thanks very much

+Èric Arguijo - EAM5892 that would make sense thanks for the info cheers

Èric Arguijo - EAM5892 that might be what I do, since mine comes in tonight
Great vid, thanks Andy. Now get that 3D camera on this thing and work your magic.
i was thinking that but the fact the cam is not so aerodynamc is is something i need to look at
AndyRC I thought the same thing. you could mount it sideways. it seems to stitch both lens images together fairly well, so you shouldn't notice too much distortion when looking straight ahead (or behind).
yes this was my idea the problem with a wing is you dont get much view from below
A "killer wing" with that center sektion. Quite dangerous.
Try with a 4 Blade prop,...you'll get a whoosh sound like an EDF instead of the buzzing whine.
I wonder if one could put a good flight controller and some tiny drone motors to help stabilize it!
The volume is down to the resonance of the wing. It acts like a sound board and deflects the sound
Not something you get with quads but do get with low aspect planes especially wings.
I wouldn't guarantee the accuracy of that but is what they told me at the flying club ;)
And you call that flying "rusty"?
i dont know what but i am really really excited for this model.

You should really laminate the thing. Some cheap document laminate (80 microns or so) and 10$ iron would do. Plus: its fun too
I love planes. quads are kinda out of my budget so I've stuck to planes. I've build small fpv flyers. big explorer planes. I like planes😂😂😂
Yep, i got into quads.. realized every time i go fly is another 30 dollars in broken parts... flown my skywalker 1680 many times even tho i crashed it(very badly) one time it was only about 50 cents in hot glue and it was good to go.

i just choose the free shipping and i dont ever get taxed
Hey Andy what is the white thing in the sky on the right top of screen in video when you pass from left to right in later half of review 22min onwards cheers....might need sending to Secureteam10
its the moon :)
lol thats bloody small on your side
its just the superview on the gopro distorting it :)
hey is it the same wing from Eachine?
ahh, poor andy up at 2 o'clock.
Andy what do you use for your DVR?
its the fatshark dom hd3 thanks
BUILD AN FPV WING!

i need to check that vid out thanks
well ok, it does look nice flying - but it can't hover! ;-)
can u explain using a pinout pls
what is the maximum speed??
Name what this is clone of!! Go!
And even though it is a clone I'm still probably going to get one... The blank blank blank is really expensive!
+DroneRodeo it's not a clone
AndyRC minirace wing??? it looks identical to the wing I have 🤔
DroneRodeo completely different I'd say techone are legit
Wonder what this would look like in a wind tunnel and marker flowing over it. Probably pretty bad. Probably only slightly better than flying crates from the early 1900's.
+Boneyfreak I'm not sure i get what i are saying but it fly's superb
If you love that has your first wing please go and get the sonic 64 wing and you be well made up mate so please check it out and have a look out on some other videos and check it out nice one suresh

I learnt on a EPP bonsai wing. Crash, bounce, re-launch. Wings are great to learn on.
