Piano solo: Ladislav Doležel
Conductor: Martin Mazánek
Brno, Czech Republic (9. 12. 2014)
valiant effort!
commendable choice of composition.. an amazing, yet sadly underappreciated and underplayed concerto! ❤
kudos to the pianist for pulling it off on that horribly sounding grand.. 😭
kudos to the orchestra for managing the climax of the 2nd Mov. quite well..
My favourite concerto:) Great feeling to hear a new performance, but why pianoforte so out of tune ? :(
I agree, the piano was out of tune. I don't know why....I was very angry :-(
I. - 0:14 Pesante allegro
II. - 15:18 Andante
III. - 28:00, attacca -> 28:15 Furioso
Beautiful Piano concerto!!
beautiful concerto but for me to slowly.... especialy third mvm. anyway, good job :)
Incrível!!!!
Ignore the rest of the orchestra and pay attention to the pianist. He nails it. BRAVO.
Was this artificially slowed down?
Slower than usual. A bit surprising, but one discovers some worthy details at that speed.
pekný výkon :) len mi tam dosť vadil ten rozladený klavír...
Is it normal for someone to have music when playing a concerto?
What do you mean?
@@OrchestrMUNI they mean the scores
Very common for an orchestra to have the scores with them. They usually learn these orchestras very fast and it’s nice for them to have the music there just in case to keep track, instead of learning it for memory perfectly
Why is this performance so slow?! 🥺🥺 Where is the A440? and I recommend adding the violins...the volume of violin is not enough compare with the brass.
Nonetheless, I wish this performance might be meaningful for that students...
This is an amateur orchestra playing a particularly rhythmically complex piece. Generally, they simply need a bit more time than professional musicians, both in practice sessions and in terms of the music itself. I think the (noticeable) disbalance in sound is mainly due to the recording itself; I notice three mikes being aimed rather far back (and none directly above the orchestra) which will always favor percussion and brass.
Good playing however the orchestra was way too slow!!!!!
