I been through Tombstone hundreds of times in my 18 wheeler and was never able to stop due to dragging a 48 ft trailer behind and no parking...but, now that I'm retired and will soon be a full timer, I 'will' be going back to Tombstone! Great video, and, thanks for the tour!
@@Maxid1 I retired from trucking in 2015 and haven’t been back since. However, I’m planning on going back on the road to live full time in my RV, so, I’ll eventually make it back to Tombstone sooner or later. Stay safe!

Great video Eric! I lived in Tucson for 30 years and never went to Tombstone! The bar show was cool, except for that tv in the upper left corner, lol! :)
Fun video. Surprised anyone was left with all the gunfights. You fit right in at the saloon wearing your cowboy hat while drinking beers. Sounds like you were discussing a little water rustling there.
So great to wake up to another video by the Nomadic Fanatic. Was starting to get worried about you. I knew you would have to stop by Tombstone before hitting the road on your new adventure. Great filming, Eric! Drive safely and keep filming!

This is by far the best you've showed us on this trip. I love the idea of showing it in black and white. Excellent job my friend. Might want to loose the jail house slang(hey Boss can I get another)used in the bar. If it were me and I spent time in jail, I wouldn't advertise it with stupid slang like that.
From my experience people who refer to someone as boss is highly used from inmates speaking to the guards. I didn't mean you were an inmate, but that is the slang from inmates so I wouldn't use it.
Jerry Densmore No it's OK, I thought you were joking. Seems like an inmate calling anyone "boss" would be the exact opposite of what they'd say. They'd want power and to have others cower over them in fear. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't give a jail cop the title "boss" or they'd get beaten up by other inmates. Either way, just trying to be funny in Tombstone. Don't think too much into everything.
Nomadic Fanatic Calling guards boss started a long time ago. You see it alot in old movies and movies that take place a while ago, 2 that come to mind are The green mile and Oh brother where art thou. But it is still used a lot now, however I believe it is mostly used as sarcasm today

Nice touch black n white! I really enjoyed the video. I must say you have the most interesting and consistent posts on UA-cam. Great job! Peace to you n Jax 😀
Hello from Tucson. A note about Tombstone. Hey folks, it's not a movie set, it's a real hardscrabble high desert town that indeed proved itself to be too tough to die. Back in the early 90's, Kevin Costner came to Tombstone when he was starting the movie Wyatt Earp and offered to completely reinvent the town back to what it looked like in the 1880's. And then he would give it all to them for free. He was shocked when the city told him to go to hell. >;) And while the the western actors carry guns loaded with blanks, I've walked the streets there with my single action 45 Long Colt fully loaded (with REAL ammo) and holstered on my hip. And if ya'all recall. Virgil Earp decreed a law that there wold be no guns in town. Well...about 18 years ago, the citizens of Tombstone sued over that long standing law and the courts ruled against Virgil and struck down that law stating that it clearly violated the Constitution of the State of Arizona, because open carry was legal. Now....we can carry openly or concealed without any permit. Just like the criminals do. Imagine that!! All my best from a free and armed Arizonan!!
That had to be LOADS of fun. I hear that you had to pay, but, the significant history is just AWESOME! I will go there just to get the experience dude. Thank you for yet another great video!
If you are a Gunsmoke fan it is super filled with memorabilia. Safe travels. Safe travels. Really enjoy your videos. My passion is my Miata. Will be heading out again this mid May starting from Dayton Ohio to UP of Michigan and then West across the upper tier of states to Oregon and then down the coast to LA area and back home on Route 66 (more or less). Should take about 3 weeks. Nothing as adventurous as you though! Also greatly enjoy Jax! Cheers.
Very touristy, but you made it fun. For Old West stuff, I highly recommend Taos, NM. Plus, Taos Pueblo, probably the oldest continuously inhabited village in North America. Also, Terlingua, TX, to see a real Ghost Town. Thanks for all you do, Eric. Really enjoying the ride along on your adventure.

I really enjoyed the video always wanted to go there. liked Doc Holidays Saloon. The Saloon with the TV in it was to Tourist Trap for me .I like all that you do Traveling ,Tips, cat videos ( you will make more money making those ) and the tours. Need to see more of Jax! :)
Make sure you do your image stabilization BEFORE adding titles or lower-thirds to your video. Otherwise the entire frame will get cropped and the title or lower third will move around and/or not get seen (like your song credit at 4:41). It seems that you allowed UA-cam to perform it's own version of warp stabilization. Personally, I'd rather see shaky footage than video that looks like different parts of the frame are jello-ish (with warp stabilization different objects can appear to stretch and deform while other nearby objects stay normal... which is an odd thing to see. If you have extremely shaky footage, use Adobe Premiere Pro's warp stabilization instead of UA-cam's. It will take more rendering time on your end, but the final product will be much better. Oh -- and what happened to your camera stabilizer? Did you return it to Walmart?
Yup. I totally lost the music credit. lol. thanks. And no I don't like UA-cam's stabilizing. I did mine in Adobe, just didn't catch the missing credit.
I think the video would be better off without the motion stabilization added in post, it makes some of the backgrounds warp in a weird way. I'd like to see it with just the gryo.
Thanks for showing us some of Tombstone's tourist attractions, I enjoyed the B& W treatment. Can't say I blame you if you decided the entry price for the O.K.Corral was too much? Like others i'm curious to hear more about this new RV, specifically how the larger size may affect the way you live and park daily.
eric, you are right every thing costs, buttttttttttt. a good way to experience the towns lifestyle (no matter where you are at the moment) is to wander through the stores, bars, saloons, real estate offices, etc., walk through say howdy walk out and onto the next place.

Eric. Just wondering. Now that you have left Arizona (by now I am sure), I noticed that you have said nothing about the people you have no doubt seen walking around with a gun on their hip. This would surely be a shock for you to see since you come from Washington and have traveled through Oregon and California where having a gun on your hip is far more restricted. When I first came to Arizona I noticed it right away. There are other things about Arizona life an outsider would pick up on right away. I am sure you have noticed how friendly people are in Arizona considering we have concealed carry here with no license required. Very much unlike the drama played out for the tourists that you saw, we are all mostly friendly here. My experience with people in Texas are that they flip one way or the other with you. Maybe I'm just use to it. Believe me, plenty of people in in my hometown walk around with a gun on their hip. But for some, it might give them an unsettling feeling seeing this. I don't feel uncomfortable around them or anything. It's our right and I don't care what reason they have for carrying, I just don't get bothered by it. Still, I think I know what you mean, and agree some people are just not OK with seeing it.

Hey, just an fyi (your entitled to your opinions, but those were real guns shooting blanks. Not cap guns, not hollywood fake guns. Real guns, shooting blanks.
Little much on the B&W (The west DID have color, but your TV didn't!). LOVE the stabilizer! Thought it was a hoot that the first bar had all of the old-ish decorations but on one wall was a neon Beer sign and on the other, another neon beer sign. Both for LIGHT beers! Ew!
***** Hence, I specified the specific breed when I posted "My favorite part was the Clydesdales." If it had been a different breed pulling the wagon, I would have specified that breed unless I was unable to discern the specific breed, then I would have simply said "My favorite part was the horses."
Of course. I edit 5 hours a day. Plus rendering, encoding, exporting, and uploading times. I like to think some people see me standing out amongst the rest. At least I can look back and rewatch my videos without being embarrassed.
Trinity Alps Hey, I agree with you. This is one reason I keep watching. It is interesting to see what does catch his eye enough for him to comment on. I am anxious to see what he thinks of Texas. I have been to many of its towns and cities. I just hope he is watching the weather though, it can be nasty.

Tombstone, AZ is awesome! Tourist trap, mostly, but the history outweighs that. I know you have probably already left, but I hope you checked out Boot Hill Cemetary as well. It is pretty cool. Has tombstone sayings such as "Lester Moore: four slugs with a 44, no Les no More"

$ 4. 50 for a beer is cheap where i come from, that's usually the "happy hour " price
Yeah, that's what I thought. That translates to just under £3 sterling. We pay just a bit over that in Scotland for a pint of beer here.

You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you baby
Can you get enough of me?"
Yeah! Right VAC? You love it cholo!
ahhhh, he doesn't look to friendly.
SKPjoe Coursegold Naw, he is. I saw him commenting on a bunch of KISS rock band videos. He loves Kiss, Gene, Ace, Peter and Paul. He loves them, so so much. He knows all about his favorite band....
Hey, just an fyi (your entitled to your opinions, but those were real guns shooting blanks. Not cap guns, not hollywood fake guns. Real guns, shooting blanks.
*****
O.k...troll. lol
Ew!
love the hat btw. Tombstone is a cool spot for sure!
Good vid I always wanted to see Tombstone Arizona!
Thanks for the memories, did you see Boot Hill?
How do keep jax cool or did you already make a video addressing that
Eric you look like the Duke in that cowmans hat ;)
My favorite part was the Clydesdales! ;D
***** Uh, yeah, and what do you think Clydesdales are? Just like Belgians, Shires, etc., they are all "draft horses".
***** Hence, I specified the specific breed when I posted "My favorite part was the Clydesdales." If it had been a different breed pulling the wagon, I would have specified that breed unless I was unable to discern the specific breed, then I would have simply said "My favorite part was the horses."
I find editing takes way longer than the shooting of the raw footage ... How do you keep up with it?
Of course. I edit 5 hours a day. Plus rendering, encoding, exporting, and uploading times. I like to think some people see me standing out amongst the rest. At least I can look back and rewatch my videos without being embarrassed.
Nomadic Fanatic So you edit 5 hours a day? And the trolls say you don't have a job...Keep up the good work dude.
Trinity Alps
Hey, I agree with you. This is one reason I keep watching. It is interesting to see what does catch his eye enough for him to comment on. I am anxious to see what he thinks of Texas. I have been to many of its towns and cities. I just hope he is watching the weather though, it can be nasty.
That's it! I'm getting outta Dodge to come here! LOL!
Looks Like a Hoppin Place,, How Much for the Beer Eric????? Hope the Mug came with it,Im Guessing 12 Bucks,, !!!! The saloon, Is a GOLD MINE!!!!!!! And It was Noonish?????? Thanks,Jack!
Tombstone, AZ is awesome! Tourist trap, mostly, but the history outweighs that. I know you have probably already left, but I hope you checked out Boot Hill Cemetary as well. It is pretty cool. Has tombstone sayings such as "Lester Moore: four slugs with a 44, no Les no More"
Who skips the O.K. Corral???
People like me who've already spent $100 to walk into 10 other buildings.
Nomadic Fanatic
LOL...o.k., just seemed like the #1 attraction there.
would have like to seen this in color
Oh come on, Lance, I have to give the haters something to complain about. :) It would be too perfect in color. :)
Nomadic Fanatic Actually Sepia would've been nice. I loved 'Tombstone' the TV series.
Do you upload 1 video everyday? If not how often do you upload a video?
Pretty much a video per day yes. Sometimes I let it upload as I fall asleep though.
Ok awesome!
Back in the days of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday, Tombstone had a gun ordinance that forbid visitors from carrying their weapons in public.
when is the day when u pick up the new rv
How dare you ask such an outrageous question!?
HHA Awesome i can see it looks like a tourist trap but probably worth the cash if you go all that way to see something.
Great video Eric.
Yep, belly up to the bar and get the buzz-on. :) I remember when I did that.
Barbed-wire is what finished off the cowboy!
I think the black and white goes with the old town
Give Bisbee Arizona a chance you will enjoy it
livery is pronounced L "I" very, it is where they kept horses, the I in livery is like the sound it.
Eric, nice hat....
eric did you do a tombstone pub crawl lmao
Eric that vid is great. keep up the good work, o yes did you name your cat Jax from the show of sons of anarchy ? I know I ask this of you before but I think you miss it . sorry I don't mean to bother you about it, just wondering. (keep your wheels rolling)
I did 3 months in Az. Tombstone was the best!
And Bisbee is worth a stop!
Heh, seeing the Birdcage Theater reminded me of that episode of Ghost Adventures. Yeah I know, its likely BS but I found it entertaining.
Black and white, why did you choose that ?
You should have done this whole episode with a good ol' Texas accent!
Jax in the intro... Nom Nom Nom Nom Nom :)
Here lies
Johnny Yeast
Pardon me
For not rising
Liked the black and white .
Did u see any ghosts there? That whole town is haunted especially the birdcage place.
