--------
In this clip, Freeway Ricky addressed the difference in state and federal RICO cases, and he spoke about the dynamics of federal cases. Vlad then brought up artists wanting to still be in the streets after getting successful in the music industry. Freeway Ricky then revealed that he’s working on a label, but he wants to steer clear of any kind of gangster activity. This led to Vlad speaking about the longstanding beef betweenYFN and YSL crews, and lyrics being tied to an incident related to YFN Lucci’s mom being injured. Vlad then pointed out that if Young Thug pleaded guilty, YFN Lucci’s mom could in turn sue 300 Ent. over Young Thug’s lyrics about the incident. Vlad added that this could lead to a domino effect in the industry, and he stated that hip-hop needs to grow up after 50 years. This led to Vlad and Freeway Ricky laughing about 50-year-old gangbangers, and Ricky added that those guys have a lot of power that they don’t know how to use in a positive way.
Nobody is mad at youngthug and YSL for shooting a person's mother. That is how sick the culture is

Does Freeway see the irony in a drug dealer telling rappers what they shouldn't be doing? After years in prison, and supposedly changing your life, you get right back in the drug business, selling marijuana. Hypocrite. Concentrate on your crimes against society that are still affecting families in LA. You haven't helped anyone, wannabe author. You've been tap-dancing for the "Man" ever since you received that marijuana license. Blame the fans, for buying the music you say artists shouldn't be making. Your respect died with your drug career. You tried to latch on to these rappers when you first got out, but found out quickly that respect didn't come with handouts. We don't need you publicly speaking "to" or "for" Black people. Selling all that dope and couldn't read the very legal papers that got you all that time. And you're giving advice.
U know freeway a real one cause he still has hope for our people ..he’s really a inspiring individual..to come from where he came from and still hungry for life and all that comes with it is truly something special

Get a real job Vlad
It's really crazy how rappers really tell on themselves in lyrics and be surprised when they end up in jail!🤯 Its like living in the twilight zone.
MF Doom - Rapp Snitch Knishes. "Step in to court and be they own star witness/have you seen the perpetrator? Yeah I'm right here!"
It’s actually kinda funny in a way when you think about it. Like somethin out of The Boondocks lol. Imagine a rapper in the booth confessing all their crimes then as soon as he leave he get put in cuffs 😂

Regardless of what he sold back in the day this was a man that took the only route available to him at the time to better himself who then taught himself to read and write went onto beat his charge which was life and is now out preaching nothing but positivity and wanting to see his people do better. “Jamaica is banning music that glorifies drugs and crime” very based!
Rick keeping it real 🤣💯
Vlad saying all he’s fan of the banning
Of gangster music but also profiting of those same guys with interviews is crazy to me

That title is wild 😂
They did it in 1998 to Sacramento rapper C-BO. Which also happens to be my favorite rapper. He got locked up for the lyrics on the song Deadly Game I believe on his album Till My Casket Drops. And that song Deadly Game go so hard one of the hardest songs that I still listen to daily

Rick like I don't care about none of this BS 😂😂
Vlad just interviewed himself on this interview. Asking and answering his own questions and giving examples 😂😂😂 Vlad be tryna vent lol
Title got me weak asab 💀😭😂
A huge part of this conversation is being left out, and that is that received labels encourage lyrics that are disparaging and harming our culture, because that is what sells. Then, they’re in on the RICO charges, where the same lyrics that the young men are encouraged to write are used against them, and the label is off the hook. For our community, rap is like the NFL or NBA-a way out.
If that’s true the rappers should say no we’re not going to rap these awful lyrics. Blaming the record labels seems weak to me. These are grown men. Personal accountability has to trump someone encouraging me to do, to write, or to rap about violence and things that are detrimental to my own community.
I totally agree that music like that should be banned from radio stations. Such senseless evil should not be glorified to masses of children.
Vlad, go live if you wanna share your thoughts. We want to hear the guests talk on these interviews bro.

Not schools Freeway should be going around to talk to kids, should be these trap/gang rappers. Could learn a lot from this guy. S M A R T man 💯
I like the Nike sweater 💥😎
I disagree with Vlad that violence in music isn’t the same as violence in movies. I definitely think the media overall is more accepting of violence and seeing violence.
this coming from somebody who sat in prison for drugs, got out and was approached for a deal by the same people and went right bacc in lmao.
At the same time good stories don't make good movies as they say. Rappers talk about that because fans want to hear about something crazy and exotic. Rapping about you flipping burgers at mcdonalds or going to college while having an ordinary live doesn't interest anybody. It's a catch 22.
U dnt have to rap about flipping burgers to be a successful rapper. Look at drake. And part of his huge success is his lyrical content.
@@juliustaylor9920 Exactly. There are MANY successful rappers out there that don’t live and rap about these lifestyles.
If they censor them on the labels it'll be censorship at event venues also. That'll snuff out trap, gangsta rap, drill, whatever you wanna call it. And drastically change the face of rap music
Everybody loves it until they indicted
Thank you! Bout time somebody says it. Bunch of morons confessing to crimes they might or might not have done.
@skomask5911 Exactly. If the hip hop artists who are rapping about crimes that they actual did then are brought up on charges for committing those crimes that they rap about that is their own stupid fault.
Knowledge is powerful & yet ppl continue to fall victim to the same situations
Some music should stay underground.
Is it me or does Ricky look mad high
Or tired
@@cedarmcdaniels1538 could be definently in this world u get tired
Real talk.... 💯
That should go for violent movies as well. Because violent movies show the violence, that's based on reality, which people can emulate.
Lyrics should not be admissible in court.
Also, the fact that the feds didn't take the ysl case tells me that is mostly circumstantial.
Well, why not?
My boy Freeway on That M30💪🏽😂💯
Rick Ross does a lot of listening, thinking, and reflecting before speaking.
This is a free country
Glad flexed real quick when he mentioned Akon talking to him!😂😂
Vlad it wasn’t Comcast it was Spectrum. This is the third interview you mention Comcast.
“I’m surprised they ain’t been doin that.”
“Well that have been doing that!…. Vlad is so cringe sometimes 😂😂
To say that hip hop hasn't grown in 50 years is just wrong there's always going to be artists that rap that gangsta s*** in every era, but hip hop has so much more intellectual rappers now than there has ever been. The issue is with the youth being reckless which isn't a hip hop problem, it's a generational problem.
They all going down
I was wondering if Vlad forgot to post Ricks clip today.
I agree with what Jamaica is doing. There is some same talk of NYC
Rap might be the one profession where if you don't rap about being tough then you're not considered authentic but if you rap about doing illegal stuff then you can have it used against you
I think VLAD TV RHYMES WITH FED👮🏽♀️👮🏽♀️😂😂
That whole thing he keep saying about record labels getting sued is still just wishful thinking,as long as people keep supporting this violent thug image in hip hop culture and keep streaming the songs that add up to billions, nothing will change. It’s up to us to stop this

The only reason they will never stop Gangsta music is because they capitalize off of it and it destroys Black people in the process. Two birds one stone type ish.
You destroy yourselves with or without the music… yuck

Who was the first to be jailed for their lyrics
Wait so how can Vlad say what he said about the record labels pushing the Gangsta music then how can he disagree with Kanye?
Those labels probably have life insurance policies on those rappers!!🤔
Wasn’t it proven that they do?
So what? It’s a job fool. All jobs gives life insurance
@@figo007tv lmao you slow
Damn your dumb. Every large $ contract industry has life insurance policies on the contracted. Every professional sports team, every record label, every high priced exec at a firm, etc. The internet has so much knowledge and you guys are still stupid.
@@figo007tv These record executives probably do or probably will eventually have a life insurances on the hardcore rappers, trap rappers & drill rappers signed to their labels because basic on what the violence that they are rapping about, living out and us seeing these rappers dying every month.
I would bet that Avery Lipman & Montel Lipman founders & C.E.O.s of Republic records which signed Taylor Swift who has sold a total of 160.4 millions of albums does not have a life insurance on her because they aren't expecting Taylor Swift to die anytime soon.
Thanks to V Glad mouth, fresh law suit.
VLAD says a lotta wacky shit sometimes but I have to admit, his idea of civilians suing the record labels for promoting violence is good one. All these businessmen getting rich off the cultures downfall, make ‘em pay 💰
You could still rap about interesting stuff but you don't have to literally rap about crimes that you have committed
And as far as rapping about struggling and not being a rich drug kingpin is honestly way more realistic to street dudes all the stuff you're talking about is cool to all the white suburban kids
@@jasonarmstrong2970 eh it depends, if your broke and starving you don't wanna hear about how broke you are and about how much your stomach hurt not to mention a lot of the black community really started making money off drugs in the 2000's forward, back in the day money was a lot more concentrated in the hands of 'kingpins' and their respective crews now a days though there's a lot more people involved in it and people want to feel like they are doing it big regardless how big or how small they really are
Asinine argument to sue every corporation that impacts consumers, it’s a free market YOU choose what you consume and YOUR actions, don’t blame businesses
I grew up in the 80's when rap started and it was rhyming and on real life issues like the message or KRS1 pushing Black positivity, Queen Latifah and many more When these people in RECORD INDUSTRY THE BOSSES THEY WHERE THE ONES THAT PUSHED GANGSTA rap to fill up their private prisons
So your saying the same people that own record labels also own prisons and they conspired to fill those prisons by pushing gangster rap music? Wow holy psycho conspiracy theory Batman!
Vlad gonna drive this point until a case is filed lmao
He’s not wrong Thug rich and had nothing to prove but look at him now Free YSL
Vlad right it getting over saturated with gangsta rap because most of the streaming is not coming from black peoples so the people that are listening are enjoying enjoying our pain and enjoying how we killed each other and the labels are profiting off it
Dude stfu with that shit, black ppl listen to this music just as much as white ppl. Grow tf up man
Yep that Comcast case is true
If they ban it where would we listen to it at because there is alway going to be a market for dis type of music
Vlad stop saying Hip Hop has to grow up. This stuff ain't Hip Hop!!
The real rick ross!
Vlad seems to interview himself when he talks to freeway
And Freeway is sitting there going "Yeah" "okay" "Yeah" 🤣😂
They can always indemnify liability...their lawyers ain't in the 1st grade
First time I agree with Vlad
I think California just passed a law stating that song lyrics can't be used as evidence in criminal court.
Ban mainstream gangster rap
Protect YSL? Protect Atlanta. 🙄
Once the record labels start getting sued, it's over for these "rappers". And that's going to be great for everyone else.
These labels aren't gonna get sued. If they do the plaintiffs won't win big if they win at all. This is wishful thinking at best
It'll take a DAMN good lawyer to be able to pull that off
Record companies pushed gangsta rap over all other rap, so let them get sued.
The title 😂😂😂😂😂
