From what I understand, leaning assists with steering the kayak, which also works in real life to a degree (just don't lean too far 😉). I think I'll pick this one up. Kayak is just too chill for me sometimes. I like the idea of paddling through a variety of rapids. I think both these games can complement each other.
I'll support and pick this up as I love realistic outdoor experiences in VR and I love the chillness of K:M, especially with Spotify on. But I think a couple of patches are needed, which is ok for a one-man team. Looking forward to dipping my toe in.
The ghosting is anti-aliasing (making edges less blocky). It is a common screen-space technique likely "temporal anti-aliasing" or TAA. This comes in many flavours but typically uses the prior frame to blend with the current as a means of a smoother image (I believe FSR also uses similar). It is VERY common on the flatscreen, where it looks pretty bad, and looks worse in VR.
Frame generation is what causes ghosting AA solutions are a totally different thing. This is more likely due to the alpha effects being rendered at a much lower resolution and then upscaled with FSR ( the weakest form of AI upscaling around) causing the flickering. PSSR will get rid of this just a shame that so far it's only a pro feature.
I thought this looked really nice. Obvs not as realistic as mirage but it's super clear, that's what stood out the most. I noticed the kinda motion blur on some of the water too. Overall it's enjoyable but could do with some tweaks with the paddling.
AHH yes I always saw this game when I scroll down in the PSVR2 library 😌 however this game will never compare to level of quality that the REAL kayak game delivers.
I do, as this is so different, and we will see more DLC added to this, its a different Kayak game and still worth it, Its like saying to one racing game so don't see the point of another

New walkabout minigolf course one of the best yet!
I'll have to get my golf bag out of the closet. The theme looks fun.
You can shift the direction by actually, physically leaning left or right
@dhwtn3287 also found out the only way to paddle is like your riding bike peddles

Tnx for the review dude. Had my eyes on it since it appeared on ps store.

Steep creeking is real kayaking. When that foam's churning at your waist and threatening to suck you in, you know you've been a-paddling.
I played it before and I liked it. Graphics are great but not quite as good as Kayak Mirrage. Will be good for blast now and again.
Deep sale, I'll give it a go.
What are you saying at 8:29? It sounded like some kind of code 😆
I’ll wait for a 50% off sale
Just give PSVR2 the best Kayaking game; Phantom Covert Ops!
No mp and while this game looks great visually. It's kayak again. Great visual showpiece tech demo but no mp is a deal breaker. No buy.
If you have either of the Kyak games I don't see the point in buying the other.

I don't like being timed .
you can turn it off! but at its core it’s a racing game really
This reply was 3 hours ago thanks to youtube timing records!
Sounds like a sore point.
A tip with this one is that you can direct the turning by actually physically leaning left or right
Going to respectfully pass on this. I would however LOVE a Redbull Rampage VR experience…
I like kayak vr mirage this game is not relex doesnt look good as mirage and steering is bad not as good as mirage hope they fix it
