Still, its the best fuel to use in space, because you can literally refuel at any comet, and on most worlds (even Mars has ice).

Really the only upgrade to this is the Trek/ future version that uses small space-time driver coils to decease the ship’s mass across the sub space threshold so less power is needed to move larger ships.
