Absolutely love that location, if nothing else because of how easy it is to get to. Always seems to deliver and you really did the place justice John. Lovely mages.
thanks Garry! yeh, great wee spot
Great stuff John always a pleasure to watch.
@@marellacoyle6999 thanks!
Great photography.
@@b.2221 thank you!
Great mid week treat john well done, lovely shots. Get yourself a new tripod ya cheap skate! That bamboo one you have is well past it by now!! 🤣 see you soon mate 👍
Got a new foot. If this one goes the whole thing is going in a loch!
@@JohnMcKennaPhotographyHaha
John, what a wonderful mid-week treat! Beautiful! Thank you for this bonus video! In the earlier shots, when the mist on the mountains was more dense, I admired how you were able to pull some detail out of the near mountain top and yet keep the gauzy mist still misty. Amazing shots. Thank you. Jim.
Thanks Jim! Glad you liked it
Thanks John for bringing back some happy memories and spending time at that very spot on a very nice mild and overcast morning last November👍
Hope you got some great shots there?
@ i did enjoy my time there and got some nice shots using different shutter 👍
Great video. Thanks for sharing
@@idl4236 thank you!
Wonderful with the clouds, thank you!
thank you!
We were in Glencoe on Monday and we'll as you know what the weather was like, Thistle Doon.
Enjoyed the video as usual John.
Great image's as usual.
Catch you on the next one.
thanks! Yeh it can be a bit hit and miss with the weather! If I can get it finished on time tonight, tomorrow's video will be another from Glencoe!
Thanks John for sharing the video. Fantastic images.
Thanks Jim! Was a great way to start what became quite a productive day !
Well worth the stop, John, nice conditions and Clarity. The last few times I have been up, I seem to miss the Snow, but I would really love a good Dump soon with nice low temperatures.
Thanks Douglas!
A good Dump 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Absolutely brilliant John, the images are amazing 👍
thanks Robert!
Some fabulous shots John. Nice film too. Cheers
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Loved the photos. My favorite is 11:41.
Thanks!
Good work as always John.
Thanks Rodger!
Brilliant top man I'm there on the 18th 19th 20th March if you want a coffee . Staying in oban for a few days camping 😊
you'll love it there! I may well be in the area around the 19th so drop me an email nearer the time!
Love it Great view and much better than the one I currently have one the cramped train, good to dream though lol
Thanks!
Lovely video John. I was glad to see one of the photos picked up the red rock in the water. I've been at that spot so many times in all seasons. There are some lovely wee heather clumps growing near the waters edge that make a good foreground in the Autumn. I was in the Glen twice last week it was so quiet, hardley any folk about. Just wondering where your next destination was, 😁Thnk you .....Alioban 💖
Thanks! I'm back up that way in 2 weeks so will probably re-shoot this spot again. I was staying over in Fort William, so planned to head out towards Arisaig for sunset but only got as far as Glenfinnan. The work in the car park at Glenfinnan ruined my plans for that spot so I headed back to Corpach before getting to the hotel.
Crackin' shots ... and I haven't got that tree. I'll take a look next time I'm up, which could be a while.
@@iainmc9859 its worth a trip!
Very nice photos John, really looking forward to getting back over to Scotland from Ireland some day. I see stena offer a decent deal for same day return ferry, might be worth a look.
Thanks Ian! Weirdly I'm looking at the same deal, but in the opposite direction.
I haven't shot the Antrim coast for a few years and been hoping to get back over soon.
Top Drawer ,
Thanks!
Great shots John, at a classic location. Enjoyed watching this, this morning. Was wondering if it would be possible to make a vid showing your editing process of one of these shots, from uploading the RAW to the completed image. Always fascinated to see the editing process and how final images are achieved. Really useful learning tool aswell.
thanks! Glad you enjoyed. I'm hoping to put together a few editing videos over the next month or two. I'll include at least one of these when I make the video!
@@JohnMcKennaPhotography Brilliant John, look forward to it. Cheers m8 🙂
Beautiful work John. The pictures were amazing. Sorry about the tripod but im sure you will find a good brand new one. Get a solid one so you can take pictures and fight bears at the same time LOL 😂 Greeting from Mexico.
Haha! Thanks! I've got a heavier one which would be perfect as a weapon! I'll need to start taking that out!
A new tripod oh no😀I bent a leg on my one after a fall but managed to repair it phew😀Great shots again though I actually liked the slower shutter speed one on the water I think that’s when you had the polariser on.
Thanks Malcolm! I managed to fit yet another foot to the tripod, so I'm back using it for now but if / when it breaks again it'll be time for a new one I think!
First class
@@peterhall3504 thank you!
Hi John,
As always, great video and weirdly superb timing as well because, weather depending, I'm travelling up there next week after I finish work on Friday for a car-camp weekend whilst Ebony is away visiting family in Norfolk. I really do need to scratch that Glencoe "honeypot" itch. Inspiring stuff and all tech comments noted :-D
Thanks Neil. What day's will you be in the glen? I'm back on 18th, 19th and 20th.
Tomorrows video, assuming I can get the edit finished tonight, will be from another Glencoe spot!
@@JohnMcKennaPhotography ooh, looking forward to that one then ;-)
All being well, I'm heading up to Glencoe after work on the 14th, car-camping overnight to get early morning light through Glencoe from Beinn a' Chrulaiste and then hitting a few of the honeypots during the day. If I do another night (quite likely) then I'm considering doing the Pap of Glencoe on the Sunday morning. All "ifs and buts" as I'll be very much at the mercy of the good ole weather 😀
