Hey Guys! Here is the first AMV for the Spring Season.
And since I only made one for the first season of Fate/Stay Night UBW i decided to start this season with this Awesome Fight between Gilgamesh vs Berserker. I hope you enjoy watching this video.

even though we all knew the outcome of this fight as soon as it started, you can't deny that Gilgamesh nearly crapped himself there at the end.

Shirou in UBW never knew Illya was his sister
And he watched her die

He had a hint when she called him "brother" in the beginning
Well they're not real siblings, since Shirou was adopted
Wait, wait, wait man. Illya was FOR REAL his BLOOD LINKED sister?! My mind is broken now.
@Shaco the Tank Engine Ah, OK. I just understood. Because Illya's father is that guy who saved Shirou.
I still prefer Hercules' actions in the VN. Instead of trying to attack Gilgamesh again he breaks the chain bindings to go comfort Illya so she doesn't die alone.
Either way i call bs on those scenes for several reasons.
1 Heracles was dead, in fact he was beyond dead he already did his power of love death defying bull earlier in the fight yet he does it again right at the end, that's just lazy writing.
2 In this fight and in every other medium that Gil appeared in he proved that Enkidu was indestructible, ESPECIALLY against divine beings, so the fact that a weakened essentially dead Heracles not only escaped from them but SHATTERED them is just completely spits in the face of continuity.
Emiya beating Archer did make sense tbh, it was a battle of ideals not physical power and Shiro was getting stronger with every hit, and i'm pretty sure Alaya had a hand in Archer losing since i doubt they wanted to lose a counter guardian. Gil was an arrogant bastard who held back to the very end and even then Shiro still lost, he was just saved by Deus Ex Archer... Somehow. Shiro vs Heracles was a complete shit show that was won through sheer Nakama power, the fact that a copied Caliburn did more damage than Saber's Excalibur is just retarded.(Caliburn killed Heracles 6-7 times i cant remember the exact number, while Saber poked Heracles with an excali-blast and that only took one life as far as we know.)
They did actually explain why Shiro got so much stronger in such a short amount of time, it had to do with some of the more esoteric properties of souls in the Nasuverse. When two beings with the same soul meet they begin to fuse together slowly so what happened to Shiro is that he was gradually taking Archers memories, experience, reflexes, magic skills, etc. Don't get me wrong its still complete bullshit how he did so well against Gil but it softens the blow at least, plus i'm pretty sure Gil held back way more against a human than he would have against a servant he does tend to use different levels of power depending on his opponent(using next to nothing vs Lancelot, using Enkidu vs Heracles, and finally busting out EA against Iskander).
@@AsobiMedio 2. Actually, it doesn't. God Hand is what gives Herc his high ranking Divinity, and when it's all used up, he's effectively a mortal, therefore Enkidu is far less effective.
Hercules is a berserker but even in madness he is a good and honest man a hero of legends a demigod

Now when I'm listening to that song, I always picturing struggling Heracles.

Gilgamesh is a pretty interesting person. I only recently began to do work with him, and now I understand the fans of this character more. In the Fate universe, people probably never get bored of creating works.

Illya never took a step back, or ran. She faced death head on.
She knew her fate from the start, I think, that's because. One way or another, she would in any case cease to exist during grail war.
In term of stats Berserk and Saber are top but Gilgamesh is STRONGETS due to weapon superiority and also Rin stated all the heroes weapons are based and origin from HIS treasury and he has a weapon for each hero except Shiro the future Archer.
Even if you dont like to admit it he is the most powerful of all ,would be easy for him to just use chain at beginning and then skew em with his weaps

okay so let me make a counter argument to this you bring up good points but in the entire fate verse he isnt the strongest he is in the top ten of the offical rankings and if the fight between shirou (non archer) vs gil can prove to people that fact then what would he do to say grand assassin hassan or the proto saber who is the candidate for the grand position who can solo a beast class servant yes i do acknoledge the power gil has and the fact he has most weapons he doesn't have all and the proto arthurs male arthur's sword isn't in there nor vasavi shukti gilgamesh is strong yes but you to understand why he is so powerful he is 2/3rds god 1/3rd human and his strongest noble phantasm Ea or Enuma Elish has been showed being countered by Excalibur not out right beating it but then again that was a copy of the actual arthur they have said in the nasu verse the actual servants that are copied like arthur and turned to a female are weaker then say what proto arthur would be the gilgamesh we see would shit himself if say...the grand lancer would have been the lancer of that grail war i like your evidence but you have to remember nasu did state prototype arthur or male arthur took on all of the grands romulus solomon/merlin hassan orion and noah plus others who have yet to be revealed and arthur defeated all but romulus he and romulus were at a stand still for five days

If you want see an even more epic battle, I recomend reading fate/strange fake. It has a rematch for Gilgamesh and Heracles....way more epic than this one.
Why is everybody like "wow Gil is so badass"
if anything Heracles is the most badass, he's clearly inferior to Gilgamesh's broken powers, and he has to shield Ilya from most of the attacks, yet he still fights on like a pure monster, being closer and closer from hitting Gil. He even made him lost his composure at the end.
Gilgamesh just spams explosive swords, and cuts a loli.
BlueScare45 lol in the VN Gilgamesh didn't break a sweat, no idea why they changed it here. Gilgamesh didn't even use his Noble Phantasm, fuck that he didn't even use his tier 1 weapons, for fuck sake he didn't even use his armor, that's how low he thinks if Heracle. Saying that Heracle almost 'defeated ' Gil is like saying that fucking Rider from Fate zero almost defeated Gilgamesh.
I said he made him lose his composure, I don't think he could have defeated Gil. Which is my main reason for wondering what people find badass in Gilgamesh, he's so op it's not even funny.
BlueScare45 that's the point, badasses are not funny.. wimpy and weak characters are funny. Besides, like I said in the VN (the original) Gil knew that Heracles will break form the chains and DID NOT lose his composure even for a second.
Yes, but badasses are considered as such if you see them at least trying. Guts or Kenpachi get themselves half-killed, but they still wreck their opponent in the end, which is what's badass about them. Even broken people like Alucard actually tries, even if he's damn superior, he restrict himself so that it's cool seeing him fight. Gil just stand still chilling and spamming swords. Likewise nobody would say Alucard was badass if he was throwing his familiars, while chilling in the back.
Well, he did lose it in the anime, which made Heracles look like a badass imo.
BlueScare45 Might be true, but I guess that's a 1/2 God's work. Of course he is superior and doesn't even try against his opponents. In the VN there are people who can easily fuck up Gil, but however. And about Heracles, he was fuckign baddass from the time he took saber and archer 1v2 and fucking destroyed them. Don't worry Gil will lose against Shirou.. somehow.. because main character powers are the most powerful Hex.
By the way the first 'character' that was meant to be Gilgamesh (before stay fate night and zero) the virst development of this character, actually wielded the swords and fought against Saber (who was actually king arthur a guy , before they decided to make him into her and fuck it up) and it was a pretty badass Gil nontheless.
And also gil looks like he should be in a boy band.

Mainly because UBW is literally the perfect counter to Archer Gil's main method of attack, and Gil was too prideful to even think about staining his armor or Ea with Shirou's presence until it was too late. If Gilgamesh had legitimately tried, covered the sky in gates, fully armored up, flying through with his ship that flies at the speed of _thought,_ and used Ea from the start, then he would've won, sure, but it would've gone completely against his character in Stay/Night. I mean seriously, even after chopping his arm off, Shirou still would've lost to Gil had the corrupted Grail and Archer not intervened.

@@irv5861 de por sí Hércules está en mucha desventaja, no puede luchar cómodamente porque está protegiendo a Illya de todos los ataques de Gilgamesh, si un solo ataque se escapa golpeará a Illya y seguro la matará, así que Hércules actuó como escudo en toda la pelea, además la habilidad más fuerte de el, su noble phantasm más confiable, Nine Lives:Shooting the hundred heads no puede ser usado por su condición de berserker, además de que la clase berserker es la más débil de Hércules, mientras que la clase Archer es la más fuerte de Gilgamesh

@@irv5861 bueno, de por sí nunca nadie había podido romper las cadenas del cielo, el primero que lo logró fue Hércules, superando así su propio mito, esas cadenas se creían que ni siquiera un dios podría destruirlas, pero Hércules abandonó su propia divinidad para poder romper las cadenas, y su continuación de batalla le permitió seguir luchando aún cuando ya no tenía más vidas, resurgió cuando debía estar muerto, medio muerto destruyó las cadenas del cielo y por poco mata al primer héroe de la historia, podría haber sido mejor, pero ya eso suena bastante propio del mayor de los héroes

Did anyone else, who really loved Gilgamesh really hate him at this part, I did.
+Jedidiah Wingard If you mean the part where he stabbed Ilya then yes. But if that happened during the first half of FSN UBW then i would'nt care. But in the three months between the first and second half of it I watched Fate Zero where Ilya gained alot of my sympathy because she was just a sweet innocent little girl. knowing that i really hated gilgamesh for that part :D

To be fair Gilgamesh was corrupted by the grail mud. Which made him more arrogant than he ever was. It's why Shirou was able to beat him in the first place.

eh, he thinks he is to good for other people and has the power to slay them without lifting hand, in the first show/season i guess, he was armored up and could fight but wouldn't, he has or at least had access through his powers to a "sword" that could potentially destroy the world actually, and if he is anything like his legend states in real life, he would actually be a tough fight, he was incredibly strong for a human and was basically a wrecker of everyone's shit. not sure about the show but despite being a stuck up prick you don't just fuck with this guy

There was no way berserker was going to win but if they were fighting a real one on one it would've been a lot closer than this. Hercules was clearly the 2nd strongest of all the servants in zero or stay night
2nd strongest absolutely. but if by "real one on one" fight you mean Gilgamesh actually trying, he would mop the floor with 100 berserkers. He has held back most all of his strength in every fight hes ever been in that has been adapted.

@@Mythos66 in that fight Gil attacked emiya from behind like once (and when he did emiya stopped running towards him), but when emiya just started running like a kamikaze towards him u see Gil attacking him only from one direction and with few weapons too ( i mean, emiya could stop him with 2 swords in his hands ahahah) , just imagine Gil keeping 24/7 attacking from every direction, that would be a total win

The only way to stop all the gil weapons was avalon but we see emiya can't just keep that forever, we see emiya stopping when Gil used more weapons and emerging with avalon (oh and btw u shouldn't answer with a question when someone talks to u)

Gilgamesh is _the_ fucking King. This fight was epic as hell and Gilgamesh never even had to try.
It's a damn shame that UBW's ending is so full of bull-shit. Giving Shirou a dozen power ups before ignoring Gil's skill in close quarters combat (apparently the author neglected to read the Epic).
Gil's not unbeatable, but no one could take him 1 vs 1 without plot contrivances doing all the work for them.
so did Gilgamesh have GoB in his epic and Ea and the chains of Heaven? he didn't right then why are you complaining shirou having something he already has at the star of the show beat Gilgamesh
read the VN and understand shirous powers and why it works as a good counter against Gilgamesh GoB

+Player Name Gilgamesh didn't have Ea in the epic, but Medea couldn't use magic. All of the servants received power upgrades to suit their role as "Servants". But Gil is the _only_ Servant to not be given their due skill.
And I've read the VN. I played it a long time ago. I hated the ending when first I found out about it too.

And so he got Ea, GoB and Enkidu which pretty much counters ever servant out there giving him proper combat ability would be to much Bs for one character alone, if you wanna complain complain about how weak Karna is in fate not Gilgamesh
Gil is unbeatable without his ego nerfing him yes. He goes easy on every fight. all he had to do was wear his golden armor during UBW and he would have literally been unbeatable by shirou. or simply start the fight with Ea which is an ultimate and guaranteed win button. But that wouldnt be very fun for the vn readers if there was an unavoidable bad end and not a finished story.
