Thanks guys. Myself and my Sisters attended the Loreto school in St Pierre before our Grandparents/Parents decided to emigrate to Melbourne Australia in the late 60's. So many great memories about that time. Thank you
Hi Bryan/Riki nice to see you in the video at saint pierre that old building you saw(NAAZ)used to be movie theatre up to the 90 I watched lot of movies there Iike your videos thanks
Fantastic video. I used to go and visit my father's aunt who was living there. I am living in France since 40 years and all your videos are very interesting. I discovered some places I never visited when I was living in Vacoas. Thanks to both of you.
I was born in Petit Verger near St Pierre. Brought up and went to school at St Pierre. Later move to Rose Hill in my teen. Nice to see all the changes after 35 years. Thank you.
There was a sugar mill in St Pierre which was still operating in 2005 when I last visited Mauritius. My niece's husband used to work there and they lived in St Pierre in a house, free of charge, which was the property of the sugar estate. There is a water reservoir in St Pierre or nearby worth checking.
Awesome video thank you. B’s laugh is like “Nyak, nyak nyak.. 😂!” So glad you guys have created so much content of the island for all us content consumers ❤
Great footage guys. My mum and grandparents grew up in st pierre and I have some wonderful memories. The shop where you bought the noodles belongs to my uncle. It's been there for generations and the noodles are handmade every morning. Your video has brought back some great memories and also unearthed some areas which are new to me!
Hi Bryan and Riki , thanks for yr videos , I'm from Vancouver Canada, born in Mauritius, we love all your videos , watched all of them on TV with my family , miss Mauritius, thanks again looking forward to meet you there soon , great job😘😘😘😘👍👍👍👍
Since VDO'S & DVD"S came out most theaters has been shut down.around the post office there ,it might be the social security office, and the postmaster house.
Nearly missed this one. Cool place. Love the park, Great place to eat your noodles. We need the railways back. ModernEV trains would be sooo cool. Good one guys thanks. My wife says tompuce is called that because it's like small cabbage. Dunno, maybe.
Hi Bryan and Riki so happy you came in Montagne Blanche my mother and I say hello to you sorry if I don't talk to much I was so shock to see you in my town glade that's you have a great day!:)
Ah..St.Pierre ! What a quaint place in the district of Moka. The shops near the bus station are truly an Aladin cave which has changed very little through the ages. These contrast so well with the modern shopping precincts only a stone-throw away .Great discovery with regards to old railway station. It's such a shame that the authorities don't take care of these historical buildings as they've just been allowed to decay and crumble, not to mention Health and safety issues.Glad you enjoyed your visit and hope you'll do a piece on nearby Moka very soon.
That's strange to me, breaded bread...Yeah! I think I would have had Riki's, or one with chilis. Riki, Thom thumb was very little, it looks like baby lettuce ...so maybe that's why. It's funny because I sit here and want you to try all the food and give it a review hahaha yet, you would be so full! OH MY WORD!! Riki!! You bought those jeans for $2.01 USD that is sooooo super cheap. You could not get used (second hand) jeans for $2 here!! Maybe at a yard sale. Oh my goodness, I want to go there just to spend money! ( Note to self: Spend spend spend in Goodlands and St Pierre!) Our government doesn't allow those kind of shops, like pull your van up and sell things. They want their control and cut. Thank you for filling me in Bryan, I was wondering why they were brown. Here that's a creek not a river. lol to us that's a weasel not an otter. Yet they are closely related. It was good to see though. I have watched several of your videos over the last 24 hrs or so and the bats and that weasel/ferret/otter thing are the only wild animals I have seen.
A lot of the brand name jeans and other textiles are make here, so when one isn't perfect they sell it locally. There is not a lot of wild life here, we have deer, wild pigs and monkeys, and loads of birds
pls try to find sponsor or UNESCO what ever to preserve that piece. as mauririan without money but history lover can't do anything against but watch how 😢😢😢😔

I like the idea that it was a post office, I can picture people sitting on benches wait for the train to deliver the mail.

75?? For a panini?? Wow those prices really increased!!!
I was a little surprised at the time, but it is a normal price for a panini on the street.
