If you're starting without much IT background and are interested in cloud technologies, beginning with cloud engineering might be a solid choice. This path will help you understand foundational cloud infrastructure, especially with AWS, which is highly valuable in the job market. Once you’re comfortable, you could explore cloud data engineering, as it builds on cloud skills and adds data management. Over time, you can decide if you want to delve into data science, which requires more in-depth statistical and analytical knowledge. @@JP_SunTe
@@Thuvu5 I'm interested in learning a robust backend language to go with my knowledge of JavaScript (NodeJS, React) and Swift. What do you suggest I learn? C# or Java? Why?

Especially following this "guide" she made: it's all fluff, her mind map didn't even take your interest into account. She's gonna make you learn python for data science and machine learning as "intermediate python" even if you have zero interest in it. Talk about wasting your time.
If it were easy, it wouldn’t be valuable right? I’m just starting my journey. I tried the web dev path before so I’m familiar with HTML, CSS, a little JavaScript and a bit of C++.. but now I’m switching it up because I’d rather do cyber security. Any advice for me?
My approach. Start doing what you want to do and ask ai for help. Not only for code. Then go deeper where issues comes and extend skills. The most important thing is to know what you want to do - what is an output, have a vision. Then start to do. And do it again and again. Cheers.
Yep, I had a basic understanding of coding, coming from my bash script experience. I got selected to make a web program in python, I knew the basics of the language and nothing else. It has been 8 months doing exactly what you said, and now we already have a working web app doing what it was supossed to do. I refreshed some HTML knowledge, and have been learning Python, CSS and JavaScript. Every time I have to figure something out or a new technology, I do a brainstorming with AI and it gives my pointers to what should I focus on. We are still working on this project to add more features, but the basic function is already in use by the end users.

The 3 ways of learning any language: "1. Practice" ... "2. Practice" ... and .... "3. Practice"
0. Have a reason for learning the language (read: an actual project).
4. Teach it. Trust me, Dunning-Krueger will screw you otherwise. You'll stop practicing because you'll feel like you know it, when you still don't. Forcing yourself to teach it (informally, even to yourself in the mirror) will give you a hint as to where you stand.
