Mugwort is a traditional medicine that's been used in Chinese and Korean medicine for hundreds if not thousands of years. However it still lack abundant modern scientific evidence to prove its efficacy. There are some studies though, The trust of Koreans and Chinese on their traditional medicine is probably the reason it becomes a selling point when added to a product. Also, lacking modern evidence only means it is 'yet to be proven', just like camomile has been a traditional medicine in Europe for centuries, but only got backed up by intensive scientific studies fairly recently. Mugwort is still worth trying.
I do agree! Although my winner for the Artemisia category is Missha’s Artemisia essence. Truly a wonderful product
Totally agree with you in the 1025 toner, HOWEVER, the Dokdo Lotion emulsion is absolute perfection. It’s the unsung hero.
Oh wow, yeah I haven’t heard anything about that one!
Enjoyed the video Alice. I have used the Birch sunscreen (nice, but a bit heavy for summer), Dokdo toner (hydrating) and cream (not heavy enough for winter, maybe a summer moisturizer for my aging, dry skin) in the past. Currently enjoying the Soybean toner and cream (similar to Dokdo cream - maybe bit richer). I will try the Soybean serum after I finish up By Wishtrend's Cera-barrier Soothing Ampoule. Merry Christmas to you and Ara.
I always wanted to try the soybean line, and now I definitely will! Thanks for the honest reviews, we appreciate it so much 😀 💜💜
I also have dry acne prone skin and love the soybean line. Please try the cream, it's one of the few that I would buy again and again 🥰
The soybean sheet mask from Round Lab is actually my absolute favorite sheet mask of all the sheet masks I ever tried. It is so nourishing and calming and the sheet is super soft! You should definitely try it😊
Ah I believe it!! The pine sheet mask was also pleasant to use. Hard to describe what they’re doing with the sheet itself, but it feels special somehow? And absolutely coated haha!
I just started working the birch juice sunscreen into my routine, have only used it 2 times. You’re right, it’s very much like a moisturizer! On my combo skin, it was much better without a separate moisturizer underneath.
Ara’s Dr. Dray impression cracked me up! 😂
Oooh thanks for sharing, yeah I did wonder if it was all-in-one for combo/oily skin types! My dry skin likes a moisturizer underneath it, but I can get away with a lightweight one in combination with it. Very impressive!
I read so many good things about the birch SPF cream that I ordered a few of them. Now am trying to make it work for my normal balanced 65 yo skin. If not working it slowly and in a few steps into the skin it wouldn't sink in for a long time and it leaves a white cast. 😢
Hi Alice, Good review, I also have the Birch Sunscreen. I didn't know very much about Round Lab. Looking forward to more reviews. Thank You.😊
It really is a brand that was hard to get info on! But yep, birch and soybean are my winners haha. Hope your week is going well 🥰
i rly like the dokdo line! i have extremely dry and sensitive skin and the simple ingredients don't irritate me but i do agree theyre not ultrahydrating! i would rly love to try the soybean line though!
In the herbalist world, mugwort is queen..incredibly healing and calming, also helps with lucid dreaming 💜
Yay! I knew you would love the soybean line! If you get around to trying the cream, the texture is just next level! It feels like the youth to the people adaptogen moisturizer almost but more substantial and a good preservative system lol! I'm sorry about the reactions- thats truly the worst! They initially did not have sage oil in the ingredients of the mugwort line hence dr drays glowing review but they reformulated:( its a shame because the products before sounded so good! I do think however you would love the dokdo cream. It is a rather simple ingredients list but the texture is wonderful for dry skin! hope your inflammation subsides soon!
THAT MAKES SENSE
I gotta admit I was wondering how on earth it had an EO if she recommended it. Seemed exceedingly out of character lol. I wonder why on earth they decided to add those in, during a time where other companies are removing EOs (or at least offering an unscented option!)
I definitely want to try more from the soybean line though-truly my clear winner!! 🤩
I love the dokdo cream! It's so nourishing but not sticky/oily at all, it has that buttery texture we all love. It's a great moisturizer for dry skin/winter
I LOVE the Dokdo Toner. It’s the only product I have from this brand though. Leaves my skin so plump, bouncy and hydrated. Which was a real surprise for me as I had no expectations. I will steer clear of the Mugwort line! I have that struggle of dry, sensitive and acne prone skin as well and am very curious about the first line you like the most. I swear this winter I am struggling to get enough moisture, especially during the day even with some of my holy grails! Fun timessss. And no one could hate you over a product review that would just be ridiculous. Lol
Thanks for sharing! I do think you’ll love the soybean line from what you’ve described 😃
Thank you. I'm now interested in trying the soybean line.
I love the soybean serum and now I want the toner 😅 Great video! Thanks!
Thanks for this, I appreciate your honest takes and mostly agree with you on the ones I’ve tried, especially the Dokdo toner - thought it was nice and finished it but didn’t blow me away.
Same skin concerns as you, dry sensitive acne prone.
I do actually like the mugwort gel cream in the very specific way that I found to use it - one part this, one part Cosrx snail essence, mixed together. The Round Lab eliminates the pilling I get with the Cosrx alone, the Cosrx brings the goo factor I want, the combination is soothing for me and laminates my skin with lightweight hydration before moisturizer. Great in the winter.
The Dokdo cream is a nice mid weight moisturizer, again nothing mindblowing but I like it and would recommend.
Oh wow thanks for sharing this! I do have the cosrx, so I’ll certainly have to try this (agreed that it’s not stellar on it’s own, although I love the inclusion of snail mucin!)
Reality & expectations are not always in alignment. 😅 So true.
I discovered and wondered about the “1025 Dokdo” name. I agree. We are moved by associations that brands create and the evidence is on our receipts.
I had a bad experience with sage on Thanksgiving Day while getting ready. I used cleary sage to clean my device and it was too concentrated. I broke out in bumpy hives and had to text everyone that I would be running late. (Note: Always dilute the skin with water until the burning subsides. Don’t let it burn. This is not a music video.)
Thanks for the honest reviews. 🙏
Indeed. My suspicion really comes from my own experiences-I’m guilty of politically-based buying!
Hope your skin bounced back quickly! It’s so frustrating to have those reactions 😞
Do the birch products smell like the cosrx moisturizer with birch?
Self foaming bottles work really well with 1025 Dokdo toner. It makes it easy to apply to body too.
😱 omg I could definitely do that! I’ll give that a try, thank you!!
Hey can you recommend round lab mugwort cleanser for combo and comedonic skin?
On another note, I looove the dokdo sleeping mask and the soybean sheet mask. One of the best sheet masks I’ve ever used!
I reuse a cleanser bottle with the pump to create a diluted foam. I have been using a ratio of 1 part cleanser to 5 parts. The cleanser I tried this with Cellmazing Centella Foam Cleanser and my skin doesn’t feel dry or tight after using one pump of the foam. I have mature somewhat dry skin, rosacea (sensitive) and occasionally a breakout (I don’t know why my post-menopausal skin does this). I haven’t tried anything from Round Lab but I wasn’t expecting the soy bean line to come out ahead from your trial. Thank you for trying products and sharing your results, I find it helpful when deciding on new skincare.
So the foam-first cleanser bottles? That’s a great idea!
And I think that is the truck - a roundabout way of decreasing the amount of product so that it’s not too much of those surfactant ingredients
Hallo, Thank you for the review and great representation of this brand . 🥰🎄❤️🎄
I’ve been using the pine cica toner pads and I’m obsessed! Use them every few days and my skins texture is so much better than before
Thank you for sharing!
I have combination skin with rosacea and when I moved to London due to the hard water my skin got even more sensitized. Got the soybean cream from OY and it was godsent! It makes your skin feel deeply hydrated, doesn't feel heavy or too watery, it doesn't just sit on the skin! Although I use it mostly at night I have been able to use it in the day effortlessly when I dry my hair to protect me from the heat or when my skin has been going through stuff and I just put a light serum undernearth and it doesn't feel heavy. If you skin has been compromised I would really suggest to give it a go.
Thank you for this review. I asked you to compare the birch juice sun cream and sun stick and you thought it was a good idea. ☺️ I love both products and I’m looking forward to trying more from the brand. Thank you for the no-BS review about the pine cica products. Really been wanting to try them because of the cute packaging lol but they don’t really have key ingredients. And unfortunately I just bought the dokdo cleanser. 😅
Happy to help! And yeah, I had higher hopes for the pine line! Kinda bummed it was a miss for me, but these things happen 😕
I haven’t tried much from Round Birch but I must say Ive come to love the 1025 Dokdo Sunscreen. It applies so easily and it is moderately moisturizing but does not leave a shine. My moderately sensitive mature skin tolerates it really well and I’m one of the few who doesn’t tolerate the community favorite: Beauty of Joseon. The BOJ one, makes my skin itch and bothers my eyes.
Great honest review, Alice!
All I want to know is where did you get your MTV shirt from? I ❤it! I want one like it!!!!
I've had the soyabean serum in my cart for awhile, I wanted to wait for your review., and now I'm going to try the toner also. Thank you for doing these reviews for us. It must be hard on your skin changing up products all the time, so I really appreciate you doing it for us. And wow wasn't that cushion sunscreen thick and pasty? I've been wanting to try a cushion sunscreen for awhile, as something to use during the day as a top up product, but so far I have no clue what to buy.. But it won't be the round lab one 🌞 Thanks for the great information! 🌻
That’s where sun sticks come in for me! I think the cushion potentially could have more appeal, as you can tell more easily how much you’re applying. But I’m 100% team sun sticks for touch ups lol
I think you’ll love those soybean products! If I could start all over, I’d just review the soy and birch lines LOL (but yes, it’s only in retrospect that we know, and I’m still glad my curiosity was settled about the 1025 Dokdo products!)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I absolutely agree about the sunscreen sticks, the isntree one has been a repeat purchase, for me and my boys 👍🌞
One of my absolute favs!! 😍
What can you tell me about round lab facial cleanser?
I do understand that certain essential oils cause my skin to react either by burning or rashes upon applying. Perhaps trying to patch test is a great way to avoid reaction with certain oils and ingredients...
Thank you for this!!!
Its been a week now i started using this birch suncreen its kind of giving me a burn sensation can you please help me why is that so and i also have malasma on my nose please waiting for your feedback
Please tell me about round lab ampule for the hyaluronic acid
was looking to try somethings from round lab and decided to do some research first before going headfirst into this, and boy am i glad 😂i was curious about the dokdo toner, but from what u described, it's both not exfoliating enough or hydrating enough for me to be interested anymore. AND the mugwort line XDD you commenting that you love the missha essence just, 😂this really is a sign for me to stop experimenting and stick to what works. i was looking into round lab's mugwort line bc i wanted to try mugwort from other brands since i liked the missha essence so much
I can’t find the soybean toner on Amazon
I was planning to get the Dokdo toner since it's #1 in Korea. It claims to help with dead skin cells and hydration so I was interested but not sure now after your review lol... Does it hydrate at all for you? I'm in Canada so it's cold and dry here...
It does but honestly I’ve tried plenty of products I personally prefer. It’s very very mildly exfoliating and somewhat hydrating, while I think I prefer to split my hydration vs exfoliation? I’d say if you prefer a combo it might be a good option though!
I have the round lab suncreen, i was in africa 34 Celsius heat and got no tan using it. I really like it
Love the birch juice sunscreen but that is the only product I've used from Round lab. Other products don't seem that exciting to me so haven't tried anything else. Intersting video.
That really is one of their best products!
Thanks for the detailed video. Good to know about Mugwort line with the Sage. That's an unqualified NO from me, I have such a reaction to Sage, that my throat closes up just driving through the desert states like Ariz and parts of Nevada.
I’m so surprised they made the decision to add that ingredient? It seems the opposite of what people are looking for in their products 😭
@@AliceintheRabbitHole It seems that many K-beauty products have lots of interesting fragrances. Never realized that I was allergic to sage until I went on a spa vacay to Sedona, AZ. After my luxurious fragrant body treatment, the next day I had bumps all over. So, no more sage for me!
plz review their soybean panthenol ampoule. there are like no reviews of it anywhere :(
Looks up from phone and says "Well hey there" had me dying! Lololololol
Hi Alice, I have no experience with these products but I always enjoy your content and your "winners" are the ones that interest me the most. However, the real reason I had to comment this time was your imitation of your sweetie imitating Dr. Dray! I literally was laughing so hard by that unexpected but perfectly spot on imitation! Thanks for the laugh! It was perfect!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I should say that I was sorry to hear that she had an adverse reaction but wow, she has a great sense humor!
I really am amazed that she picked that up, given that as far as I know, she doesn’t watch Dr. Dray (her world is Electroboom, Simone Giertz, Mark Rober etc). But she does hear everything in the house lol. I think she just has much more finely tuned senses than I do!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole I don't know how you didn't burst out laughing - I'm still laughing as I write this. Don't get me wrong, I love watching Dr. Dray but that was hilariously on point!!!! 🤭😄
I tried the mugwort line of this brand and unfortunately broke out and was pretty traumatized as it was meant for sensitive skin 😢 Didnt know that there was sage oil in it which may have been the contributing factor to why I broke out as I am pretty sensitive to essential oils…
Oh wow you too!??
Yeah I wish they would remove that ingredient! It sounds like people had great experiences prior to the reformulation 💔
@shermainn I wanted to try wormwood toner because I have acne spots and it eliminates the redness on my spots. At least that's what those who use it say.But now I'm confused, does it really irritate sensitive skin? If so, I'll buy soybean toner.
@@Peperasmenos Maybe it is just me but I was convinced that the mugwort line would do wonders for me as it was super popular but sadly it did the opposite
Have you try the real barrier cream cleanser? Wondering if you will like that or not
I wanted to try the Mugwort line, and the Pine, but that sage oil is just a no no for me.
Alice, great video! You didn’t review the dokdo cream, my absolute favorite from the line! It’s a nice balm cream that I always purchase in the winter. It’s amazing and it feels like a cloud ☁️
A cloud!? 🥹 oh that description sounds SO appealing!
I second this! The cream is great!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole It’s amazing value for the price! Has made my dry skin hold up against Canadian winters 🤩
@@janellehoward2112 hello fellow dry skin gal☺️☁️
Alice! Hi! Hahahah your face while applying the sun cushion.. you wear your emotions well my friend. Ohh I can’t stand floral scents 🥴 I’m headache prone and those instantly cause it. Sage is an interesting scent I’m not crazy about it but I also don’t mind using it but it definitely sounds like you’re allergic.. such a bummer.
It was suuuuch a contrast to the sun cream! An absolute hit and an absolute miss, with one word differentiating them lol!
Yeah I do like the smell of sage as well! It seems my skin doesn’t love it as much as my nose lol
I had dokdo cleanser and it was too drying even for me, and I’m more on combination side. But - granted - it lasted for ages. But I don’t get the hype
I honestly thought about trying the pine cica line, but I was hesitant knowing that 2 ppl in my direct family are allergic to pine. Maybe that's my sensitivity paranoia showing like Ara 😅 The soybean or birch lines might be more up my alley. P.S. mentioned that byoma clarifying serum before, only been using it a few days but the results are surprisingly fast and I'm loving it. Might be a new hg even!
I had the same thought with pine tbh! And I’m so excited for the Byoma test run! I’ve had a head start with their rich cream (given that I quit the mugwort cream lol), and I have to say…I really, really like it 😍
@@AliceintheRabbitHoleGlad to hear that! It kinda feels like elevated Bubble to me which is a very good thing imo 😊
Hope this helps
I've this summary from another seller, in which I only included Numbuzin serums that are available on the site.
No.3 Skin Softening Serum - bumps & breakout, uneven skin, dull complexion
No.4 Collagen 73% Pudding Serum - super dehydrated, malnourishment
No.6 Deep Sleep Mask Serum - lack of hydration, bad condition, special care
No.7 Mild Green Soothing Serum - super sensitive, soothing, acne skin
No.8 Fine Cica Serum - breakout, acne-prone skin, adolescence
No.9 Secret Firming Serum - saggy skin, skin ageing, wrinkle
You can guess the texture from the dispenser - those with droppers are liquid and pumps are creamy.
I did not buy No.1 toner because it has witch hazel and tea tree.
These are the moisturizers from my own understanding that I read from local reviews. I wished to try all including #5 which is not available on Style Korean but only bought #2 & #4 since I have too many moisturizers at the moment.
No.1 soothing light cream (for younger skin)
No. 2 Ceramide and Cica, thick cream
No. 3 smooth velvet, light (for make-up)
No. 4 for ageing skin, thick cream
You are an absolute hero, thank you so much for this!!
You should be lathering up the Dokdo cleanser in your hands before applying!
I kind of have that issue where I don't react until a few weeks after as well. I know some of my allergies though because I get chemical burns. That's why it's nice to have a mom who's had classes in the medical field. She knows what reactions are because the internet isn't always clear. You look up why you have tiny red dots, oh you have rosacea. No I don't! Haha, the internet is so vague at times. That's why tho I think I will start patch testing for four weeks for precaution, it's going to be tideious but I would rather have a chemical burn in a little area of my face than my whole face.
Oh gosh it’s so true. The internet is a wonderful tool, but it is so unhelpful for diagnosing problems.
Tbh it probably is very wise to patch test for an extended period!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yeah I figured because with the first aid buesty ultra repair cream I feel like at first I wore it and my mom thought it was helping my redness, then after the fourth week or so my face looked burnt.
Love the hair!
Thank you! 😃
How about the birch juice cleanser? 🤔
I wish I’d grabbed that vs the Dokdo tbh!
I think u should do a Mixxsoon trial they have alot of interesting stuff in their line. I have been looking at then and have a few different ones in my cart.
I bought the bean essence! I’m actually still waiting on my Jolse order (didn’t expect them to come in last out of all the retailers, but here we are lol). So I’m stocked up on Numbuzin first, going to do Dr. Ceuracle, and…yeah not sure from there 😂
@@AliceintheRabbitHole that's cool been wondering about some of those and wondering if the numberzine stuff was good and could be used on dry sensitive skin that reacts to heavy dented or wrong oils ya know , ur like my skincare sis and almost everything I said u would love ya do and u tell me and I do we got somewhat same skin but I never started with breakouts ever till my 30 bday really nice gift life I didn't have as a teen or 20s but all the sudden here we go with some hormones crap and reaction to products I never had before either ..lol I new u would love the wishtrend new serum and that Dr C kombucha essence have u heard of Kaine yet I'm sure u have that essence looks interesting to me and the their packaging is pretty lol 😂 idk why I have been toner and essense obsessed this year here I been pilen on the layers.
Do you still use/recommend Geek & Gorgeous?
100%! I posted a video on my favorite smaller brands in which they’re one of my top picks!
oh dear, I have the Dokdo Cleanser in my stash, do you think it will help with foaming up on hands before going on face? I don't have a foam maker because I am never ever going to use it. I wish you'd review the Soybean Cream so I can see if I should sell or keep it. 😅 This brand is in the queue for 2024 use for me. They used to have an Apple line which seems to have disappeared. I have used up the Dokdo toner and Birch Juice wash-off mask, I don't see anything special, especially with the toner which was their most hype-up product. Please be careful with mugwort products, learnt my lesson after feeling the burn with the I'm From Mugwort wash-off mask. Thanks for the warning and sacrificing your sweetie...😭
Btw, we still have a few hrs before Style Korean Cyber Monday sales end, did you get anything? You may be interested in getting Numbuzin (as I remembered you wanted to try the brand in 2023), I think it is very, very cheap at 30%+35% discounts, I guess they are expiring in 2025 and I have room for that year. Yesterday, I tried a few of the sample sizes from my last purchase and I like everything especially the #9 cream serum so I went on to buy just about everything that I have been eyeing and haven't had them my stash (I've 3 of #3 serum, #6 serum, #3 & #2 toners). This brand is selling hotcakes in Asia, I am concerned they may hike the price because I saw a 33% price hike in our local online store but they bring it down after a few days.
Yes, I do think you could foam it up in your hands! I’ll put it like this: it does remind me of the Heimish All Clean cleanser that soooo many people love in terms of how it leaves my skin feeling. It’s a smidge too tight for my sensitive skin, but sooooo many people love both of those!
I’m glad you reminded me of that. I have been considering that sale but goodness gracious it’s hard to figure out what each of the numbers are for? I started looking it up and gave up 🤣 May need to revisit before I go to bed lol
I'm surprised u didn't get the other birch juice product toner cream and pads stuff like that I hear they are popular , I really wanted to try the pine cream but supposedly u can only find it at olive young ,I didn't know they had a pine serum . I wanted to try the dokodo toner I heard it's really nice simple but idk . U need to get the goodal rice toner it's super nice I think it would be great to make ur own sheet mask. Infact I need a recommendation for diy shhetmak and the pads u can make ur own toner pads sheet spot mask with not the fuzzy ones u know the ones that stretch. I think I told u but I may have found a dupe for sk11 I am down to get it's the Scinic Prestige first essence,it looks super nice I tried the regular Scinic FTE and I liked it but I think this prestige one is gonna be amazing. ABIB is another brand I want to try more of I got the water tube I really like it but I want to try the sunstick and the serum spf also the sheet mask I want to try the heart life sticker and those I heard are the best and the also the others are good but the sticker ones are the best also want to try the hemp essense and some other stuff the toner pads I heard were nice the heart leaf and the toner I heard the actual cream was super thick. Also want to try the ceramide cream that is a dupe for the Dr Jart but frangerance free essential oil free Torriden I heard their dive in line was super nice but it's HA to me not exciting and the Koa I think has a tea essence I want to try I'll figure out the brand but it started with a K newer brand with a kombucha essence.
Stylekorean currently has the pine line as well, and the Round Lab US store too. I suspect it will be rolling out to more retailers, but idk if I’ll try more from it. It’s squarely in the “maybe” category (I guess for very gentle care, I might consider it)
I personally think you can pass on the dokdo toner, but if you’re really curious, I’d get the small size. I missed my SK-II a whole lot while testing these 😅 (soybean toner aside which i suspect will layer beautifully over FTE!)
Oh wow, Scinic huh!? I actually really liked their eye cream way back in the day. Don’t hear too much about them anymore, but they have been a reliable brand for me!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole yea round lab didn't intrigue me much except tmwhen they were talking about the SPF all the time. Girl I'm so in love with sk11 still can't believe it. Yeah Scinic was I think the FTE I tried I liked it but I think this one called Scinic prestige FTE looks really nice I'm thinking it's gonna be good it's worth a try for 35$ if it's a good dupe for sk11 it's funny I think I paid 16 last year when I first tried the Scinic essence and I was like what is this prestige version at 35$ ..lol I looked at the ingredients and I was like it could be a winner. I was so tempted to buy the medicube eye cream it was such a good deal all of medicube was if I had more money I would have got devices.
Lol that’s me with SK-II as well! What on earth is that precious, magical, expensive water 😭😭
I knowww, I built a huge cart on medicube myself, but closed it in the end. 💔 I’m going to hope to see that level of a sale again soon, as I have too much that I have to use in the near future 😭 I gotta take a break from buying ooof lol
Hiiiiiii friend 🤓
Happened to be drinking tea and eating holiday cookies when your alert popped up.
Hope you’re having a good week. I’m impatiently waiting for orders to arrive!!
My Droplette arrived though and I used the tranexamic acid cartridge last night. I need to take some ‘before’ photos. It’s supposed to be ok to inhale the mist but I found myself holding my breath! More to follow 🤗
Ohhh how I feel that. Mine started to arrive yesterday, and my first order was…messed up 🤣😂😫 …the holiday chaos begins LOL
That sounds so interesting! Does it feel lovely to use (I’m guessing an enthusiastic “yes” lol!)
@@AliceintheRabbitHole oh no! And now you’re like 1millionth in line with customer support to get the order fixed. 😭
I like taking photos of the beat up shipment boxes that look like they were kicked, rolled over and crushed, and some poor driver had to tape back together. 🫣
It was definitely like a suuuuper fine mist, barely felt it, so I would put it closer to my skin, then worry I was too close. Then I’d move if faster, but worried I was moving too fast. Im gonna study the marketing video again for how the model does it. 😂I’m sure from far away it appears like I’m waving a magical egg over my face.
Wow, “it’s burning” is not something you wanna ever hear from your honey. Not sure you’ll ever convince Ara to try anything new again. 😬
Speaking of immediate reaction, I always meant to send you the photo of the red tracks running down my cheeks caused by my eye drops. Never did track down (ha) what ingredient causes that. Sorry to ramble, the tea and cookies made me chatty 😂
😳😳. How did you so perfectly describe my situation! It must be a universal experience huh lol. Yep, beat up box, awaiting a response!
A magical egg lol! It does look magical though! And red tears oh nooo. I feel like if you ever find that picture, you should send it to directors of Halloween movies 🤣 Sigh, allergies are frustrating!
So, Spring tree budding season is one of the absolute WORST for my allergies and asthma so I might skip "birch" and "pine" anything. 🤧🤧🤧
Omg right!! I originally had that concern with the pine tree line, but everything I was reading says it’s anti-inflammatory? I suppose something can be anti-inflammatory and yet allergenic though. Why does skincare have to be so complicated 😭
@@AliceintheRabbitHole My whole face is broken out right now and I don't know if it's because I continue cycling on and off antibiotics and steroids or if the YTTP facial oil broke me out. There are a LOT of different oils in that one.
I just finished my month of peach & lily and so I pared WAY back to all tried-and-true old stand-by products, until this breakout clears up.
How are you and I in the same situation again! Wait honestly, is it seasonal?? Could that be it??
I just finished slathering my face in the axis-y biome collection (imagine how much I hope it delivers on its claims lol). This is almost the strangest breakout as it doesn’t really look bad (or as bad), but I can feel the inflammation under my skin. Woooof. It is painful 😣
@@AliceintheRabbitHole ugh oh no, I'm sorry. I hate it when it's angry and painful. Mine is honestly really weird too because it is NOT my usual breakout pattern. But mine isn't painful and it's pretty visible and annoying. And I ran out of pimple patches. I need a pimple patch overnight full face mask. 🤣🤣🤣 I do think part of it is seasonal! And it's also the season Im usually sick. So I was on some wacky antibiotics and I've been on and off strong meds since late September? It's like a persistent or recurring sinus infection/mild bronchitis, Super annoying & gross, not dangerous. But I suspect both the meds & the sick could be wreaking havoc on, like, my skin biome and etc. I can't really assess any new skincare now though unless it like REALLY works, lol. I am just not a good test subject right now with all of these confounding factors.
Solidarity in our weird breakout situation. Hope your skin clears up quickly!
I, too, have more breakouts when I’m sick. I have a long-running theory that my immune system is deprioritizing my face for other, more critical issues in my body.
Be careful, the mugwort cream has a strong ethanol in it!!! I tried the mugwort cream with the expectation, to calm my skin. I had a little rash and acne from wearing face mask…well, it made it all worse 🙄 ethanol is like alcohol, too strong and I had to stop using it.
They reformulated it, because Ethanol was one of the at the top listed ingredient. But maybe also the sage oil caused me the irritation.
I didn’t see that in my INCI when I translated it, but I did indeed see the sage oil! And it’s so odd because I can usually handle small amounts of most EOs (there are exceptions, and…idk maybe sage is one of them 😭)
Was utterly disappointed in the dokdo toner after the rave reviews. Small consolation that I only purchased the small bottle to test it out.
So it’s not just me lol!
‘Well, hey guys!’
Highlight of the video. 😂
Sunscreen and subscribe!
Who is looking really cute today! I have been interested in Round Lab but I don't know about their products. Great video.
Thank you! 🥰
And I too have been betrayed by the sun cushion, I can’t remember the brand but they have forever earned side eye 😂 and your Dr Dray is 🤌🤌🤌
YUP, right on! I’ll be side eyeing them forever lol
I loved their sunscreen and should have stopped right there!!!
Have you tried more of their products?
Hi Dear, I asked a question yesterday in your last video. would you please answer - if you know the answer, of course? Thank you so very much! Best...
Thanks for letting me know, I’m slacking on checking older videos 😅
@@AliceintheRabbitHole Thank you so much for your answer! Wishing you a lovely holiday season!
I didnt expect you to actually do research on the political controversy behind Dokdo 😂 I doubt that the naming of the product has a psychological effect on Korean customers though
I found it so interesting!
Hehe Ara makes me laugh. I think she knows, too.
She probably does lol. She’s the polar opposite of me in that she’s good at hiding how she feels. I have noooo idea how she does it!
@@AliceintheRabbitHole It's a mystery! Another magical power, like her supersniffer! 🙂
Brich juice suncreen has alcohol in it
Oh no..last week a bought the Dokdo cleanser and toner for family as gifts despite never using it myself cuz the reviews were so good
😭 they’re gonna haate it I bet
Tbh..I actually think they’re great gifts. Simply bc they are innocuous, they are very unlikely to irritate, etc. basically: they are great simple skincare products! ☺️
In my part, I enjoyed using the Dokdo cleanser although I do have an oily skin. Like she said, I found it’s better to use less and I only use a pea size for my whole face and it lasted me for almost 2 years.
Door dash just got here. Be back!❌️⭕️
Ooh hope it’s tasty 😁
Did u just see Sephora is having another 20% off sale 30% off Sephora brand for everyone no tears ??? Why bother having the rouge sale if ur gonna mess over people and have another sale every gets 29 percent off?? So wrong
The December sale!? Oh MAN it’s amazing how much these deals are repeating from the previous year!
But yes I do feel bad for those who don’t know this. Especially VIB/insider 😭😭
🐰
Hi..❌️⭕️
🥰🥰
Is it true that All ROUND LAB available on European Amazon are fake? People complain a lot. I also see the difference in how the package of its products looks different, compared to Korean.😢😢 Please somebody help me?? Is this normal?
Hi Alice, really nice informative video, I really wanted to try some of their products, I guess u made it a lot easier for me since we share the exact skin type, overly dry and congestion and acne prone (it's a struggle I know)🥲
If you love creamy cushiony milky cleansers you would love the new Esmi Skin minerals new prebiotic mylck cleanser, it's feels like clouds cleansing ur skin and fragrance free, they also released several mylcks serums that are lovely very similar to Josie Maran milk but way cheaper and better imo, they have original one, brightening, hydration......and they all feel great
They did extend their cyber Monday sale 30% off through their website, their shipping isn't ridiculously expensive and the pricing isn't bad at all for the quality of formulations, they do have some fragranced products so it's worth checking the ingredient list but most the products are amazing, highly recommend u check em out before the sale end it's soooo worth it especially the new mylcks/prebiotics line
They're available here in Australian Sephora stores but their website does international shipping, you'll thank me later once u try them
Not to mention their gift with purchase is sooo cute 😍
I believe tonight (Australian time) is their last sale extension date, we're ahead of you guys so not sure how the jet lag works lol😅
Oh wow thank you for the rec! I have heard good things about Esmi before (although I can’t remember where). They do look like such a cute brand! 😍
