    Looked interesting enough to try the demo myself.
    It ran into my firewall -and had to be Alt-F4'd because it gave no option to close it
    This game is not so amazing as to justify a connection that doesn't go through Steam. They're *probably* not trying to do anything dodgy but shouldn't need an internet connection at all. I understand why they could legitimately want play data but this is not an acceptable way to gather it.

    Gratuitously big numbers are always a bad sign ...but while the runes start at 10 they go up in fairly small increments and the way you reach the HP totals of the enemy is through a multiplier process so it seems to be at least mostly justified.
    Quick explanation as I understand it (the tutorial does a really poor job of explaining):
    1) All spell lines fire with every 'cast'
    2) you select runes to not reroll them before the spell goes off.
    3) I *think* each reroll selects a rune at random from those available in the column but the tutorial language made me doubt that (I think it's just horrendously written).
    4) Unless/until you get funky special runes it appears you almost always want to lock only one colour but could conceivably get good runs on two non-intersecting lines in different colours which would make it worth sacrificing the angled lines.
    It's worth noting that the leftmost column always triggers so columns descend in importance as you go right.
    Interesting the Morphs are permanent. That surprised me
