  • John Angwin and his family's biggest achievement is winning the first 10 positions in the Cornish Combine, setting a record which has not since been beaten. Since this achievement, they have developed an interest in breeding the bloodlines of some of the world’s leading sprint pigeons in 2018 purchasing a son of the well renowned Kittel with instance success in his youngsters very first race and now owning descents of some of the best Dirk Van Den Bulck, Leo Heremans and Hereman Cuesters in the UK whose children have gone on to produce top results. In this interview John talks about his life in pigeons, his views on the sport and how they manage to produce great pigeons that win for not only them but many others.

    Starting in racing pigeons involves a good amount of money to start, most of all the loft, Im sure the fanciers around will be more than pleased to give the beginner a couple of pigeons to start, then the beginner will have, in a blink of an eye, 30-50 pigeons and off you go, start flying...the hurdle is the loft...what about a promotion plan from the council with an area dedicated with lets say 10 wooden sheds to start...the same support from schools, charities, parks, you name it...the loft is yours as long as you have birds and you are an active fancier...
