No--the bb shuts down fully when you tap the on/off icon. If you have an alarm set it will ask you whether to shut down and turn on again when the alarm goes off or "shut down fully". If you choose "shut down fully" it will do exactly that. When the battery is removed, only then does it do a full reboot. Different altogether.
- understand one thing .. S60 is belle .. and they have made no progress since then except probably change the icons its a known fact and well my company used to develop apps for S60 aka S^3 and belle
mate the startup test was completely wrong - the bb only shuts down fully when the battery is removed, it was only on standby. insert batteries then startup and I'm sure the nokia will win as bbs usually take a few days too boot.
- umm .. nope .. its just that I need reliable products for my business ... and Blackberry has provided me with that solution .. even when I am out I know how where my inventory is or being shipped ... and let me put this in perspective .. that so called symbian belle (os build S60, 5.5) is very old .. and has huge security issues and loopholes .. and if you know Nokia supports Blackberry, one of my employees had this and all his mails leaking .. am sorry nokia no more (used to love it)
- Shows how little you know .. BB can share files over Bluetooth .. bt the basic difference is BB Balance .. Office stuff stays at office ..and your personal stuff all the time .. and did you see me calling out name to you? .. I dont think so.
@ifate59 yes i do. hmmm...negatives...for this phone you don't have a variety of games and when you acces facebook you don't have the " check in" like the one that iphone has. besides these 2,the phone is cool,i love it ! the pictures have great resolution and you can film in HD . i hope you understand what i wrote,'cause i'm still learning english.
This is not a real boot test, actually bb boot is much much slower. BB phones never boot/close, they stay standby. If you pull out the battery you will get a true boot test.
@pinkishgirlish yeah but still can access to facebk and twitter right? all important to me is textin, music and some multimedias features:] eh no worries i totally understand every lil detail xD thank you so much!:D
- Blackberry's trackpad clicking noise can be switched off from the options menu ... and the back battery cover is not plastic its made off woven glass ... this twitch does not know anything
He's made a few errors--I have the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the start-up from completely powered down is very fast--2-3 seconds max. At the end when he pulls the battery and then restarts, it is slower because it is doing a full reboot. He also powers down the slow way. You can just tap the on/off icon on the screen and it turns off fast as well (if you have an alarm set it will ask you whether to allow the alarm to start up the phone at the designated time or not--an important feature).
i had the bb before and nokia. nokia is more flexible and more durable. Battery life is better. Better the nokia ships unlocked. Some people don't realise that when you by a carrier locked phone in the US, 20% percent of the device features are disabled. Ask anyone with an android phone on ATT. Or if you have a carrier BB , go into your menu and select to show all icons. the icons you reveal will be carrier disabled ones. I will always by Factory unlocked phones. Carriers want too much control.
I lost my Nokia E6 and am about to get a Blackberry Curve 9300 3G. And, already, I know that nothing is better than my E6 :((( NGAHH :((( still can't get over the fact that I'm getting a downgrade from E6 to a curve. FML
@TheKungfuzen I agree, it's obvious the Nokia from power off runs quicker :) Nice review! I had blackberry phones and nokia phones before. I must say blackberry has advantages when it comes to messaging/email just quick icons and what not. I'm a big fan of both but one thing I don't understand is blackberry prices never seem to drop. The new models came out a few weeks ago but the previous ones are like still 250+ dollars?? GTFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The E6 does boot up MUCH FASTER than the Bold. You did not boot down the Bold correctly, this is why it seemed to boot so quickly. If you shut it down correctly, you will notice that booting will take quite a while, perhaps 15 times as much as the Nokia (not kidding!). Oh, but the camera on the Bold is not really worse than the one on the E6.
The Nokia E6 OS can now be upgraded to Nokia Belle, which is a lot better than Anna.

it means ya windows to your blackberry phone to the internet its already connected for ya,BOOM windows is all good
nokia battery last longer and won't lag or crash which is a major plus

Take out the Blackberry's battery and then you can talk about which one loads first!

blackbery design is better. It has less unused space. it's a little shorter. its screen is a little bigger.

Blackberry was already on, just the screen blocked, while the Nokia was power off. That's not fair
@pinkishgirlish thanks so much! :D

on the nokie e6 can you watch bbc iplayer
the BB was just locked while the E6 was completely turned off... that doesn't change much tho, the BB is still the leader when it comes to business.
does the nokia e6 have front facin cam or no?

nokia is better, not only proportionately (value/performance). i think the blackberry is very expensive for what it offers
What accent do you have?
I have nokia e6 and wow, it's one of the best XD
what is the point to have phone with touch screen and keyboard ?! i dont see a reason for this at all
Booting time is still faster than the Iphone :)
Blackberry is best in perofrmance I am using both .. and it is more easier & fast to Use Blackberry.
Keyboard very fiddly on Nokia E6. Not as good as old E71.
I lost my Nokia E6 and am about to get a Blackberry Curve 9300 3G. And, already, I know that nothing is better than my E6 :((( NGAHH :((( still can't get over the fact that I'm getting a downgrade from E6 to a curve. FML
