Reverse Engineering and Database Synchronization with IBM Infosphere Data Architect

In this demonstration of reverse engineering using IBM Infosphere Data Architect, several tasks are accomplished:
1. Connection to the MySQL source database is established, and real data from the database is viewed within the Data Architect tool.
2. A new physical data model is created by dragging the schema from the physical database to the Data Models section of the project explorer.
3. Changes are made to the physical data model, such as adding a new column to an existing table and creating a new table.
4. The physical data model is compared with the original source database to identify any discrepancies.
5. The differences between the data model and the source database are synchronized by copying the changes from the model to the database.
6. Delta DDL (Data Definition Language) is generated to represent the changes made.
7. The generated Delta DDL is reviewed and edited if necessary.
8. Finally, the Delta DDL is executed to deploy the changes to the MySQL database, and the results are verified.
This demonstration highlights the capabilities of IBM Infosphere Data Architect for reverse engineering, schema comparison, synchronization, and database deployment tasks.
