The home is beautiful and for anyone that says the street is ugly you clearly haven’t seen the rest of it. As for the old homes beside this one, I can certainly tell you that they will be demolished and turned into new homes in the near future.
According to sales data started off as $2.588 mill in November 2018 and didn’t sell till March 2019 for $2.370 mill so clearly you don’t know the real estate market either lol. That’s a crazy sum of money either way but shows the power of building a new house. Probably took home $500k in profit.

Now this contemporary house I can see living it! Excellent job on the windows throughout. They have a subtlety of 1940s window frames but modern. I love the color palette of the tile in the 2nd full bathroom! Oh and the music was on point with this video!

Needs evergreens to provide some greenery through the bleak winter. All straight lines only gives off a cold feeling. Some large pots would help to soften the area. A few evergreens wold offer color throughout the seasons as well as provide some privacy. Again some evergreens along the stairway. Everything need not die in winter. Your backyard should feel inviting all year long. Chain link fencing is so unattractive. I would plant some arborvitaes to obscure it. Inside is bright and has a nice flow from one room to another. Lots of places built in to put things. Tub really has the WOW factor. It really says "Bubble bath?" Bring your glass of wine and relax.
Guys the reason why you are complaining Toronto's house market is that you've never been to China! $1mil in Beijing can only buy a 1 bedroom apartment built 30 years ago.

It is like this in every major city... for example, I live in a 3rd. world country, and just because my house happens to be extremely well located (in a nice neighborhood in the center of a big city), it is valued at $500.000 US Dollars. If I were to renovate it, it could go up to $750.000
