One of my older brothers had been to their concerts, and I can see why. They have a great sound. If they had any kind of accent, I couldn't tell. Vocals were spot on. Hopefully we'll get more of "The Warning" reactions and, as always, great reaction.

This video was done with 16 smart phones and an indoor drone. Filmed in a parking garage that was really hot. Only took them 2 hours to get it done, but hours and hours of phone footage to edit. Whomever did the edit was a master.

Classical violinist here…. The Warning is by far my favourite band! They treat their musicianship and performances like a classical musician does… and the have all worked extremely hard from very very young ages on classical piano and then mastering their current primary instruments, and of course as vocalists as well. Dany and Pau are exceptional singers in rock and, surprisingly, several other genres… and Ale (bassist) is also exceptionally gifted musically, but has never particularly desired to be a lead vocalist … however she has a great voice … Not to mention that Ale has perfect pitch… So everybody always loves when she does sing, even if her voice control isn’t quite as secure as that of her sisters.

That is precisely the reason I love them as a band. Rock music, and "popular stage music" has gotten so sloppy for so many years that it lost it's appeal to me. These young ladies give me hope for the future that I haven't had for a very long time now.

Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 19.
In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America opening for Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. In 2023 they did 75 shows in thirteen countries, opening for Muse nine times, opening for Guns and Roses, and playing at the MTV VMAs. In 2024 they will play Shiprock, Tecate P’al Norte Festival in Monterrey, Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, tour Europe, Mad Cool festival in Madrid, and the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany.
They are classically trained pianists; Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They were on the Ellen Show in 2015.
They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. Later, all graduated high school through home schooling. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015.
They started as a cover band; the Enter Sandman cover launched their career. They now have 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased performed songs. No bad songs. Their newest released single, More, came out May 12th. Two new unreleased songs debuted at their Guadalajara concert. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances.

When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals. Dany is a goofball and sweetheart, Pau talks with passion like a machine gun, and Ale is an introvert and a perfectionist.

Dany has a pretty decent vocal range (below middle C to at least F5). Your comment about projection is spot on. She can belt.
She lives in her mixed voice and does have some natural distortion on her onsets and does very much incorporate distortion selectively during live shows. She also has a very nice natural vibrato when she wants to.
Pau doesn’t have as great of a range as Dany but she makes up for it in tonality. She can bring pretty much anyone to tears with incredible expressive emotion during her ballads and she has a spicy side as well (yes, she does the scream every time they play this song live).
Pau has a beautiful rasp in her voice that will give you chills.
Ale can and has sung lead but she doesn’t necessarily like to be front and center onstage. She has a smokey or sultry tonality on the lower end and a beautiful falsetto.
Ale is also said to have perfect pitch recognition and is often called a human metronome by her sister for her propensity to maintain her timing under any circumstance.
They are often referred to as a studio quality live band and are non stop energy from intro to outro unless they decide to slow it down with a ballad.
You’re also correct about their harmonies. Being sisters can really have its generic advantages.
Hope you react to some more of The Warning, you may grow to be a fan.
As I understand it, Ale has perfect pitch by ear, but struggles a bit with controlling pitch when she sings, and being a perfectionist, this is why she avoids singing lead.

As you mentioned, it’s also my understanding that recognizing pitches perfectly and singing with perfect pitch are two very distinct things.
Can you give us an example where Ale is singing this beautiful falsetto? Her singing is mostly covered by intruments or by the singing of her sisters, so I never clearly detected her falsetto.

She doesn’t use it much in other songs but it’s definitely there.

Nice reaction. I think you would be even more impressed by their live performances, where the 3 sisters indeed play and sing at the same time. If you watch EVOLVE live (for example at the MTV VMA), you will see that Paulina does the scream at the end in concert. You may want to watch other songs where Paulina sings lead vocal like 23 or Dust to Dust, or shares it with Daniela, like Disciple. A good source for excellent live performances is their 2022 concert at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX that is available in full and song by song on UA-cam.

Nice reaction! Paulina sings lead and plays drums in a few of their songs like "Dust to Dust" and "23". You should definitely check those out. I recommend the live versions from their "Teatro Metropolitan" concert. BTW, she also does the scream when they play "Evolve" live. Nice reaction. Yes their vocals are even better now. One of the things that make them so special is their harmonies, which are easier to hear in other songs (although ironically I’d say this is my favorite.). They are extremely versatile and all their songs are not alike, although they always have enough energy to power a small town. Please check out more of their work. In fact they have a song called More that they played at the MTV VMA awards this year. I think you’d like it.

Hey Aallyah, just realized I had not subscribed yet to your channel. This is now remedy. I seen your reactions to Nigthwish, Epica and now The Warning, the 3 bands in my top 3 favorite bands. Similar for all these bands is the ability to impress musically and lyrically. Their live performances are next level. When it comes to TW the energy they convey on stage is flowing back and forth with the audience. They have +49 originals songs, no bad songs - and are even better live than in studio. This song you've reacted too for instance is best appreciated in the one take live performance at MTV VMAs 2023. Oh, btw, greetings from Denmark.

Hard Rock @it's finest! And I'm 63. I kinda grew up with hard rock. Story about Narcisista goes like this: the mexican press had always critisised them for not singing in spanish, beeing mexican. Narcisista was their answer. SO FUN TO WATCH! I'm german and I speak as much spanish as to say "Yo no hablo espanol". But I'm able to translate the refrain to "bla bla blabla" ;-)

Paus scream of destruction, it must have been it that made the drone with which they filmed the red part, crashed into the wall behind her (it actually did crash into the lines hanging behind her). They filmed this with 16 iPhones and the drone that crashed. This band sings harmonies like no other band and their music is energetic. Now you can listen to their recording at the MTV VMA´s 2023 and you will see how they have evolved further with this song. Great reaction!

This was filmed with 16 IPhones and a drone. They also played this song at the VMA Awards a few months ago and tore the place up. You cannot go wrong listening to any of their stuff and they are just as good if not better in live performances.

I have seen a hundred reactions to this music video, but you are spot on with your first thoughts, it is a brilliant song and an excellent music video for your first reaction. As other commentators here will say the energy you mention is multiplied when performing live. A great live version of this is the one from the 2023 VMA's. The Warning of course realised this was an opportunity to gain further recognition from outside their current fanbase so put everything into their performance which was a fantastic one, check that out.

The Warning are a band that is better Live than in Studio (they are very good in studio), they tend to add more texture to their vocals live (they toured with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless and picked up a few things). They have a lot of high quality live videos from their shows at the Teatro Metropolitan and a few videos from their appearance on the MTV VMAs (Evolve is available from both shows if you want to compare). Dany sings lead on about 80% of the songs and Pau sings lead on about 20% (yes while drumming, her breath control is excellent), The Warning - DUST TO DUST Live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022 ua-cam.com/video/sC9IbWYkips/v-deo.html is the one to watch to see Pau sing lead and play drums. Ale can sing lead, and will in an emergency, but doesn't like to (her range is almost as good as Dany's).

As others have mentioned there are several songs where Paulina sings lead while drumming, and also songs where she and Dany share lead. Her scream in Evolve is just a small example of her vocals.
Martirio is one of two song they sing in their native Spanish, and has some soaring vocals from Dany, and gorgeous harmonies.
Since your focus is on vocals you might also want to check out the cover of Enter Sandman that they did with Alessia Cara for the Blacklist Album. They reimagined the song, and it has a very different feel from the original. If you do that you might also want to check out their cover of Enter Sandman from when they were younger, and the version they do on tour. This will give you a little insight into how their voices have changed, and some differences in style.
