The BFVJapanese Planes are powerful, but what happens if I unload these rockets against em? I haven't tried this variant of the BF5 F4U Corsair with the 8x rockets yet, maybe it's good vs American Tanks too. Only in Battlefield 5

"These are ABSOLUTELY USELESS.......................lets go get some more !"
😆
scrolled down solely to see if this was top comment
Ah, how original, a porn site on the youtube comment section.
Worthless comment copier, you have zero originality
"don't enter enemy's airspace", proceeds to enter enemy airspace...
8:44 that was just a picture perfect scene there, that's like something out of a campaign
A Battlefield only moment for sure
I do that all the time with random people and squad mates
Usually when I help them I spam them with "Thank you" until they say thank you back and then I say affirmative and fly off
@XximxlikexmorphinexX delete that you nincompoop!
yeah thats like the type of player i am, the unlucky one who gets picked, but hey at least it looks cinematic for others
Just John Just Report it like I did!
Nicc: “These are absolutely useless, I’m gonna go get some more.”
alphapuma 14 and a person who copied you got a heart lol
Joshua Xiong no
there useful for planes and tanks
@@JoshX9706 That's up for debate, besides, they have way more likes.
never seen a pilot get so excited when being shot at by AA lol 11:47
Jay R now I do when I get the drop on them
I feel like they are less about aiming individual rockets at an aircraft and more to send a large volley of 8 in the hopes to land 2 or 3.
Colin Patton that and they aren’t bad against infantry if you send a volley of them
I’ve been flying in the pacific and have found getting close to air targets then sending a few is very effective. I believe the rockets are meant to be used in tangent with your heavy guns. To either knock them low enough that your bullets will take them out or once you overheat you send the rockets
I wished he would keep practicing air to air because I swear they can be great
@@cutterbabcock9917 The rockets are not meant for air to air. The 3.5in Rockets were made purely against ground targets. These were primarily used against Anti Armor. So...these were made to attack tanks. Cause tank's top armor tend to be ALOT thinner than their front armor or side armor. cause you don't have to armor something that an enemy tank isn't going to hit.
Colin Patton nah, For me they line up like an AA gun, just perfectly with the sights
They are actually great air to air, 38 damage. Gotta get close with the boost and use them to finish off the kill when they start braking or banking. If you see broadside with these things and let loose, itnsta kill.
Take a shot everytime he says convergence
😶😐😑🥴😯😧😳🤢🤮
I’ve actually had a good air to air experience with them. I just wait till a plane turns broad side and put a few of them into them. Finishes them quickly. I just wouldn’t fire at planes from further than 15m away
Yeah I’ve found that they can be really good at close range if they either bring you into a stall or are almost stationary but also when you’re close up and in a turn like you said.i once took out a zero just with the rockets while I dived down on his turn. If you use them right they can be really good at air to air but also useful at air to ground.
If you spray them like that and they show you the bottom or cockpit, you will drop them
15:52 “we don’t wanna see enemy hit 100” :D
Where the hell were you in 1945 LIKE BRO
probably in the heaven
hahha me at 8:55 supporting you guys xD didnt even know i was in the same game
Why do I love this video, there are so many amazing visuals, they almost seem like movie scenes or cutscenes! Great vid!
"I like to be blown....away"
easily one of my favourite youtubers, amazing cinematics and chat.
3AM VIEWS he’s so helpful, I used to suck at planes where the most I could hit an enemy plane is 5 damage and ground troops were never going to be hit, now thanks to nicca’s tips, I am feared by infantry, AA, and aircraft alike, he is the best pilot tho
8:27 till the part we’re ur wingman was shot down was just an epic movie scene
10:00 “it’s useless guys I’m going to go back to get more”
Majestically done.
9:36 that's what she said
Seen you giving SQUiD some pro pilot lessons. He hates flying! 🤣
squids a turd
I only watch nicca and jackfrags
Niccaman uses a bad weapon: "Dice please tell me what we're supposed to do with this."
That rocket is so f good
I actually have been watching your videos for so long and I have mastered some of the tips you have been giving. I have been practicing and I saw you in my game and I thought that you would drop me in no-time but I actually got a drop on you.
I was honored that I got a kill on you in the air. Man I love dogfights and killing you once makes me feel like I have killed the Red Baron himself.
Keep up the good work man! GOAT
I commented on your last video about the rockets so thanks for the vid. I’m so excited that you made a video just for me! Thanks again.
Working with the FFIR four-pack, I noticed that I could disable tank engines extremely consistently but they're underwhelming in damage and just not good against infantry. As for air-to-air, I think the object is to ambush an unsuspecting enemy plane from above (the nitrous will help with that), because they're borderline-impossible to reliably land hits on a pilot that knows you're there and is flying evasively.
The AT ones are nuts. The 8 times one aren’t that amazing.
The AT ones are not really worth it.. Not enough damage to tanks..
Nicolai Grønnebæk If you land both point on, it’s an insta
I mostly use the x8 rockets for vehicle disables. Whenever I see an enemy tank near my team, I'll disable it and it'll be picked off by infantry. If I get a kill, then it's a plus.
@@redd251 and also once you master the rocket drop and land all your rockets, you will do tons of damage while disabling a lot of their parts. Of course you won't be able to kill them in one salvo especially if they have their quick repair.
The AT ones can two tap infantry from range, instant delete planes if you hit them, and do good damage to tank sides and rears. It’s just better than the 8x all around.
During World War II, plane mounted rockets were practically never used against aircraft. They were designed, and thus used, against heavily armored ground positions. It’s why World War II footage of planes using rockets used them mainly on things such as supply trains.
The rockets were simply far too inaccurate and there were not enough on board to be effective against air targets. This entire video was practically a visual representation on why plane to plane missiles weren’t used.
Plane mounted rockets against other aircraft only became widespread around the time of the Vietnam War when missile guidance systems were developed. At that point, they became a necessity as planes began to fly far faster than machine guns. Not only that but the maneuvering that jets are capable of nullified much of the capabilities of machine guns.
Also, use missiles when you and enemy are both traveling in straight line.
Just subbed to your channel. Glad to see you experiment with different load outs so I don’t have to do the dirty work lol.
Thanks you so much, Love your vids big inspiration for me!!!!!
awesome vid man!! Love your stuff keep it up!!
amazing vid! do t know how you have the plane skills..
I've been working towards this upgrade because I've been able to always get engine or track disabled with the basic rockets on tanks on a pass. If you approach from the top, port, or starboard sides of the tank you get a broad target and the convergence is less of an issue. Coming in aft or fore you'll miss quite a bit.
8:30 onward looked amazing 🔥👌
Love your Battlefield vids. Keep up the gooood work.
@Niccaman these are tiny tim rockets and were used for tanks and stationary vehicles.
Rockets were made for killing ground vehicles BUT ITS SO SATISFYING WHEN YOU KILL A PLANE WITH THEM. I go for rocket kills in war thunder lol.
Killing it, great video brother
Hell yeah! I tried these rockets already and my god they are a beauty.
Are they?!
what, no!
@@Niccaman they're better used after your HMGs overheat and you're close, you can just spam them
Love the vids man, keep it up
Love your vids man keep up the good work👍
Hey nicca, just letting you know that at 7:39 the reason why that pilot dies so fast is that you shot the pilot out of his seat rather than destroying the plane, and when the plane only has one person in it, it will count as a vehicle destroyed as there is no way to save a falling aircraft. Similar to how you could shoot the pilots out of their seats in Battlefield 1. However, shooting pilots out of their seats only works with higher caliber weapons or explosives I believe. Just letting you know man. And nice content dude keep it up.
Nice Vid as always my dude
I LOVE watching my enimes crash when i'm looking out of the cockpit window.
That part where the wingman gets shot by the fligerfaust looks like something out of a ww2.
Bro 8:25 till the part we’re ur wingman was shot down looked like a movie scene
hey @Niccaman a challenge for your next dog fight. use the high altitude prop on ether plane. get an enemy fighter to follow you and start climbing as fast a possible. keep looking behind you to make sure he is still following. eventually, he will stall out and be immobile for at least 5- 10 seconds. but since you have the high AT prop. you have a higher service ceiling, you will be able to whip around and rake him with your guns while he is trying to regain his airspeed. For the history buffs, this was a tactic that was pioneered by Japanese ace "Toshiyuki Sueda" (shot down 9 planes using this tactic). the difference was he was exploiting a flaw in the f4f wildcat fighters. their underpowered engines. this however worked against him when the hellcat took to the sky with its more powerful engine. this tactic works fairly well in BF5 both for dogfighting and evading AAA. especially due to most pilots prioritizing firepower over altitude advantage. Video link for visuals the maneuver happens at 3-minute time mark on the Xbox clip xboxclips.com/nzachary33/95a07a19-5bb7-432a-8e59-80e0b8f48463

Wow I just love the plane falling thing
Wdym
How the plane falls after being shot down
Keep at it buddy!
Hey Niccaman, nice video 👌 When I use The small rockets, I only use Them for Ground tank/canon targets or as a air-to-air-shotgun in moments where the enemy pulls back on the throttle 😁.
Nicca you really used the ”bomber killer” fighter in BF1 and don’t understand these missiles lmao
Hey i equipped the same fully upgraded specialization u had and the rockets need to be fired closer to the target... I usually kill an enemy in a stationary weapon with 2 or 3 rockets from atleast 200 meters
I am eating popcorn and watching this and it is like a movie
I have to admit it from all the yt fly heroes, you are my favourite. Thus, I endorse your channel.
Use the diagonal lines in first person. Lead with the inner and outer circles as if you were shooting guns.
man niccaman had me dying with this one😂😂😂😂
Awesome video!
I was using the stock 4x rockets and took out a calliope with one strafe then again I had a perfect line up and landed all on the side at a 90 degree angle
Had one round where the enemy pilots all camped our airfield on breakthrough iwo jima with air to air corsair. they killed us while starting. They used the rockets to kill us on the ground.
With the next battle field I would like a Vietnam based game
Your videos are so satisfying
Niccaman I Love All Your Videos Even if they were 90 hours long
The benefit of the 8 weak rockets is staying power. You can be out dogfighting and bop tanks with a few annoying rockets each pass by 😁
I like the rocket for stall fights. When they stall you can just dump all the rockets at point blank.
I’ve done 92 damage to a tank in one pass and destroyed it with the 8x rockets. I screen recorded it too.
Gotta love the random crashing Zero during the rocket run on the infantry.
Hey! Great gameplay u host here! Keep it up!
Something must have changed since this video since I don’t feel the convergence issue as much. Usually I launch one rocket as a “guide” and make sure all 7 are on point. I can do 80-90 damage on a tank with 100% direct hits.
As far as air to air I only use it if I manage to sneak on an enemy and I’m like 5ft behind them and by some miracle they don’t see me and are flying in a straight line I can soften then up and then finish them off with the main guns
Personably I like these than the two big rockets
Nice video keep it up
I haven’t used the glide bomb yet (Can’t remember if it goes on the Corsair) but the 8 rockets have outperformed the heavy tank rockets for me, 8 successful hits results in max 80 damage, when you can keep track of the tank you hit and hit it a second time and hit them all that’s 180 damage to a tank.. (Not sure about this, but unless they do a manual heal I don’t think they can outlive that)
The rocket your using was actually used during the Pacific theater to destroy bunkers and try to shellshock Japanese soldiers and was also use to destroy the yamato
“and I like to be blown away” That sounds so wrong lmao
Its satisfying to get tank and airplane kills bit also quite challenging
Those rockets are specifically labeled for infantry and stationary weapons lol
Anyone else like that one of his squad mates name was Hans_wurst2142? Whoever that man is he's the true hero of the video
Maybe these have been patched since but I find it best to fire them low against infantry and tanks and they're really good. In dogfights they can be great they're so satisfying to use on enemy pilots. Fly quite close behind for best effect and fire them just in front in one volley though they can work from further
They seem to be good for AA combat. if you can get used to the lead on them, they decimate aircraft if they hit
If someone is stalling/braking, they are a great way to get a lot of damage in very quickly if you can’t match them fast enough, or to just outright kill them before they can recover
I'm so much better at flying because of you I got my first plane to lvl four a couple days ago and I get way more kills
It's so satisfying to see a zero crash in the start
Also can you use the same plane and make a video and act like bazooka charlie
Great vid
To prevent overheating your barrels don’t feel too rushed to kill the enemy by holding the trigger, just wait for heat to go bavk down and follow up the plane and then get that remaining few shots, that’s what I do and I’ve been pretty unstoppable in the air

Good new year..
The rockets worked great in BF1 for Anti-air, I think it’s just harder due to the advanced flight capabilities of the new planes in BF5. I am sure if you got a good line up with a plane and landed a couple it would easily shred through the planes!
The rockets are for punishing people trying to make you overshoot them. So when your on top of them you basically auto hit, and they take a butt load of damage
Niccaman, have you recently tried the spitfires or bf109's? After so many hours with the pacific planes, I am so bad with the german and UK planes 😭 your probably still a beast tho!
Hey Niccaman, when you're in first person manually looking left to right in the cockpit does your character models head actually move?
yes
The problem is they are meant for lots of light ground vehicle convoys or sometimes large bomber squadrons but neither are in the game rendering them useless
Reminds me of the Rocket Pods from bf3
Get as close as you can and fire it as a salvo if he is flying straight line up the lines to its wings pulling up or down aim in front of it and activate boost after the first one or two. I have no idea if it works I’m just thinking off of Physics
Mental note to you bro how to use those rockets, you use them close to the planes when they are slowing down trying to get behind u, close range its a kill :)
I’ve been flying in the pacific and have found getting close to air targets then sending a few is very effective. I believe the rockets are meant to be used in tangent with your heavy guns. To either knock them low enough that your bullets will take them out or once you overheat you send the rockets
They're for ground targets
They are!! Haha. I just like using them for planes😂
The 8 missiles are based to kill planes, the 2 heavy missiles are vehicle based, your variant is a fighter plane variant so basically you can just spawn camp the planes
In my opinion the 8 missiles are fantastic for air to air
Those small rockets would have had a detonation range and would be used to just fire at bombers and would detonate preferably under the wings or fuselage to detonate the bombs in the Bombay or they would be fired at open top tanks and the shrapnel would kill crew
These rockets are meant for aircrafts, even says ao in the discription.
But if anything, you gotta lead these more than the German 2x rockets.
The better you are at leading them, the more deadly you are
Those rockets I believe they are HVARs which are rockets used against infantry/top of vehicles(mainly lighter ones such as armored cars or infantry carriers) they are more for collateral damage and decent penetration from a top attack than a killer(they have around 69mm of pen which is higher than most vehicles top armor) altho on battlefield I think it's more for troop attack and tank disables.
Can you play an airplane and manouver and at the same time move the camera inside the plane??? Nice vid nicca👏👏👏👏👌👌
The word you are looking for is divergent: moving or extending in different directions from a common point. The opposite is convergent: coming closer together. :)
Nicc can you do a tutorial in how to become a better pilot
Gun harmonisation, convergence pattern, convergence zone, convergence point or boresight point. All of these would be better than saying “Covergenced”.
HVARs (the tiny rockets) are air to ground rockets not air to air rockets. They’re meant to eliminate soft targets suck as truck, trains, fortified houses etc. they’re still not doing what they should be in game but they’re not air to air rockets
