    Nobody explains and motivates me to get courage and make flower arrangments as you do. Thank you very much. So elegant, not so much flower, but with statment.

    As always you make such beautiful designs but what I love the most is the way you teach. I have taken many classes and walked away without any idea why they did what they did! I have learned so much from you. Thank so much!

      Thanks again Robin, these vases were really popular in the early 2000, I used to use them a lot for wedding work. I had about 10 and a matching pair of huge ones for pedestals but unfortunately they are all smashed now!!

  • @mariehoffmann8150

    What do you do with the black container so it doesn't toople over with the weigh of the top,its just beautiful

    • @sharondower
      @sharondower  2 роки тому

      This one is quite heavy and as long as the arrangement has foliage at t the back to give it weight it remains stable. You can also add some sand or decorative pebbles to the base to give it extra weight but I've never needed it before.

  • @marksmith3926
    @marksmith3926 2 роки тому +2

    Beautiful. If you did this design with lisianthus flowers would you just use a single stem with 1 flower head as they tend to have a few flowers on the stem ?

    • @sharondower
      @sharondower  2 роки тому +1

      I think it would depend on how visually heavy the flowers are. You could trim each stem, starting tall and thin with less flowers, then larger flower stems to the focal area

  • @ruthbloesl3977
    @ruthbloesl3977 12 днів тому +1

    when you design in foam, is it a problem for stems to keep watered when we have less than 1/2' of stems put into the foam? I understand that part of the glory of foam is that it will hold the water, but it just feels so counter intuitive to have the stem going opposite direction. do you tell customer to mist? I love this style and would like to try it , but am hesitant to give to customers. The apple core techniques is brilliant!

    • @sharondower
      @sharondower  4 дні тому

      As long as the foam is water after delivery, it will keep the flowers fresh, yes the design can be misted, but too much misting in a UK climate will cause rotting of the flowers. Misting is for dry climates
