    I like the zx4rr, but the dilemma is the same here as it was in 1990 with the Yamaha FZR400 that had a aluminum delta box frame and swingarm and not costing much less than the FZR600, the FZR400 was around for 3 year's or so & cut.
    I'd like to see this zx4rr succeed, wish they could have given it a aluminum frame with a removable tail section, other than that, I like what it brings to the table.

    to put it in perspective, in Australia and New Zealand, where we have LAMS approved bikes for learner riders, the Ninja 650 is LAMS approved and the ZX-4RR is not
    and for that matter, the ZX-25R also makes more peak power than the Ninja 400, engine displacement isn't everything, sport vs. super sport

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition 11 місяців тому

      🤣 you are not wrong! The ZX4 is really for a class specific racing TBH, I don't think I would personally buy it as a daily, I would do a Ninja 650 for a daily, cheap insurance, great on gas, great torque, and just a fun all around bike, the ninja 400 is also a great option for that as well for less money. OR, personally, I would fork out a few grand more and roll out a ZX6R over the ZX4R, but that ZX4 fully uncorked would be a super fun track day bike!

    • @HesterEdition

    In terms of size does it look like the zx-4rr is much bigger? I'm looking for my first motorcycle I went to the dealership and tried ninja 400 and it was a perfect size for me (im 16yo 5'2) its not really a big difference in terms of pricing between the zx-4rr and the ninja 400 so I thought of getting the zx-4rr but Im not sure if it's larger than the ninja 400 (im a small person) though they dont have zx-4rr instock in my local dealership i need to drive 1 hour to santa fe to check out the zx-4rr.

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition Рік тому +1

      The zx4rr is a little wider in the engine area, but seat height is about the same so size no they are very close. The zx4rr does weight a little bit more but all that potential more than makes up for it, the zx is well over 3 grand more than a Ninja 400 so it does cost considerably more, but all that tech, the brakes, the engine, everything about it more than makes the cost difference. The zx is very special. It is a choice YOU want. Do you want a fun practical bike? Or do you want a race bike that is more rare, and are you willing to spend that extra chunk of cash for it.

    My friend all ZX-4RR's come detuned from the factory with only 53 horsepower not the claimed 80 horsepower that you said.
    Secondly the frame on the ZX-4RR is made of steel not aluminum.
    If you're going to make UA-cam videos you need to get all your facts straight.

      Noted, made a simple mistake on frame material, and Kawi has the HP numbers with the ram air posted, just took it from them. Edit: I did update the description along with dyno numbers once the US restrictions in the ECU are flashed, pretty sick gains to the wheel, more so than claimed. Kawi only talks crank HP, he has that thing at 70 to the ground no ram air, all stock. Makes me want one even more lol

      Dude ecu flash it is like 73 at rear wheel. I can lose 30lbs fast and pretty cheap. Slip on better sound lighter than stock fender eliminator, aluminum fir 20 bucks, have bent cut drilled at metal shop have done before lighter less than 100 bucks. Mock up in card board and metal shop can take 1ft by 1ft aluminum and make custom eliminator. Rip out huge air box and use k and n filters more weight gone. Remove any tools or other truly useless crap stock stuff. I had 8t original 600 ninja, 70 hp a few piunds havier much peakier power, was good city bike and 135 mph top end still a blast. This 400 light yrs ahead in suspension brakes tires, little fasyer better handler. Most newer 600s rarely use the piwer they have. Hp over 100 on street is mire ego than used. Ridden for 40 plus yrs, this new zx4rr with little money so.e elbow grease will be more fun than my 2008 6r was i know from riding bikes from rd350s to zx10s, in real world for me 135 lbs this bike is perfect fast enough to kill me insurance low but hang with 650 twins but rev out as it is a four. Just my opinion but rode yrs with liter bike ridets and never needed anything more tham my 6r until top end runs

    • @HesterEdition
      @HesterEdition Рік тому +2

      Depends on the track and skill of both riders, long straights where the massive power advantage comes into play no question the H2 will win, but tight, it will be an awesome dog fight. But, you put a pro on the 4R and the average Joe on the H2 I have seen this scenario with just the Ninja 400 and that 400 was walking the H2 lap after lap. Rider plays the biggest factor. Heck, I personally lapped guys on 250 and 450 motocross bikes (Motocross track), and I was on my wife's KLX125 putt putt trail bike in the early 2000's.
